I am a senior woman and so many people treat me as if I'm not as intelligent as they are. They look at age as a disadvantage, not that I have had a lot more years to learn more. He helped me figure out that it could be a recall on my truck and after contacting Ford and the dealership was able to have the over $3000 worth of work done for free. Therefore even as a cost of not getting the job he was very honest and helpful. If I have any other problems with my three vehicles I will definitely go back to the shop. You may not have a beautiful waiting room and snacks and Designer a coffee, but you also will get honesty and a good job when you need it. So god bless you A1 transmission staff! Ladies, if you are looking for a place where you can get an honest /trusted assessment of what your car actually needs, I can not recommend this location enough. I had taken my car to two other repair shops for an assessment and neither came close to the experience I had here. I even got photos while they were working on it so I could see the before and after! it was a first class experience! And finding a new place to get vehicle services as a woman is worse. If you know, you know. I chose Hare Repair based on their great reviews. I called to make an appointment and they are busy. You can't just pop in without notice and have your vehicle serviced. That is another good sign. First of all, Rhonda is the main point of contact before service (quotes, scheduling, etc.). She is a dream. She is responsive, nice, funny, understanding and knowledgeable. When I arrived the morning of my appointment, Rhonda was not in yet. No problem. Other people were there. I was greeted by my name, having never been there before. (I wish I had gotten his name. Also very nice and personable.). The gentleman who greeted me asked what I needed. I explained that I needed brakes work but I wasn't sure if I needed front, back or both. I added that I am getting ready to make a road trip through several different states and I want to make sure that my car is ship-shape. It ended up being a good thing that I mentioned that. Back to that later. I dropped off my car when they opened, 7am. I received a call from Hare Repair at 7:50am that informed me that I need front brakes and he gave me a price LESS than what I was originally quoted. Not a lot less, but less. How often does that happen? Great! I received a call around 10:15am informing me that my car was ready and they replaced a couple of external bulbs that were out. This is where it goes back to me mentioning the road trip. When I picked up my car Rhonda said, "You don't want any lights out on a road trip." No, they did not call me to ask if they could replace the bulbs at a cost. But, I appreciate that they were thinking of ME while out on my road trip. Yes, that is a little more money that they made but I feel that isnworthbit for safety and peace of mind. Honestly, I know vehicle maintenance basics, but they could have told me that I needed both front and rear brakes and I would not have known differently. I was a little torn between 4 or 5 stars. The ONLY reason I considered 4 stars is their business hours. I repeatedly missed opportunities to schedule my service because they close at 2pm/3pm. However, I am so very happy with the people and the service that I must give them 5 stars. I will definitely be a long term patron.

The price of an oil change was very competitive and the shop was able to accommodate me right away. They performed a thorough inspection which revealed an issue that had previously gone undiagnosed. Paul, the Service Advisor, went over the report and pointed out what repairs could wait and the items that should be taken care of soon. I asked for an estimate on my 55,000 maintenance and was sent a breakdown on the individual services. Knowing the spark plugs were never changed. I scheduled an appointment and the work was performed on time and as promised. Today's European Cars is a great place for repairs in Houston.
