I decided it was time to purchase my first firearm, I checked out Ammo Bros first and I didnt like the vibe of the employees. I decided to head to Fowlers, expecting a terrible experience do to all of the terrible reviews. I walked in and was immediately acknowledged in a friendly manner. I needed to take the FSC test and was quickly setup to take it. I new what firearm I wanted but decided to check out some others anyway. I can't recall the name of the woman that helped me, but she provided awesome service and took the time to talk about the pros and cons of every firearm that I wanted to look at. She wasn't pushy and was very friendly and not arrogant. I ended up purchasing a Glock 17. Although they might be a little more high priced here, the customer service is what made me decide to purchase my firearm here and I prefer to support local shops. Thank you Fowlers. read more

Only reason why I was here was because I had to go into the office to fill out paperwork that management should have had me complete almost six years ago...never fun going to the office off duty. Great selection and seems to be a good spot to pick up supplies if you're into reloading. Quite a few "used" rifles on racks but stuff is priced on the high side. No "take a ticket for assistance" like at Turner's or RifleGear, gentleman I spoke with knew his stuff and we had a nice discussion regarding advantages/disadvantages between Mossberg and Remington shotguns. You know those fancy guns on C.O.D? They have them here. People like me probably go, drool, and don't buy anything, which probably explains the customer service. I really don't mind, as I would rather be left alone. Prices are not that great however, make sure you do your research first. I did end up buying a 30-06 hunting rifle, which is funny because I went in to look for .22's. And I don't even hunt. People are pretty cool and friendly here and there is a MONSTER selection of both new and used handguns, rifles, and shotguns. I had a couple of guns that I wanted to trade in for a new Beretta 92FS, a pretty gun that I've always wanted to have. I traded in my practically still-new HK USP 9mm and Remington 870 Shotgun and was able to get a decent value for them that wasn't too insulting for me to turn away. I know I could have probably sold them on my own, but then I didn't want to have to go through the mumbo jumbo of selling the gun to people I don't know. I'd rather just have Folwer's take care of all the paperwork for me. The prices here are a bit steep compared to Turner's, however, you might make up that difference in value by selling or trading it in here. Great store! I have been looking for a gun safe for some time, and stopped by Fowlers. Good selection of new and used gun safes. Score!!! I just had the safe I purchased there delivered, (small fee) and the guys put it right where I wanted. A $1200 40 gun safe, used, in like new condition, for $500!!!!!!! I bought a nice new Glock here today and have bought holsters and ammunition here in the past. Fantastic gun store with a great selection and it is better stocked than any gun store I've been in in Orange County. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. They spend plenty of time with you and answer all questions. They do not have a shooting range on premises but for all your handgun, rifle, ammunition and any other gun related paraphernalia needs there is not a better store. Highly recommended read more

I went in for the first time on 11/12/15 to conduct a ppt and the service was excellent from the get-go. The young lady behind the counter was very courteous and on it! The fastest/effective ppt I've had so far. Definitely faster than turners. Came back today 11/22/15 to pick up my acquisition and again, excellent customer service. Omar provided an outstanding level of customer service and Juan was a laugh riot. Great staff, much appreciated. The main point I want to make here is, being new to firearms as i am you find yourself dealing with gun enthusiasts and salesmen who possess a vast amount of knowledge but additional a HUGE EGO. I used to take car trips to gun shops with my dad when I was very little and remember this shop very well. So there is some deep seated good vibes for this place. I also remember some bad service and jerks from long ago haha! I still go here from time to time. I just went in for some reloading supplies and to take a look at their used gun rack .They obviously have a much better selection and stock than they had in the dark period I remember in late 80's and early 90's. Atypical gunshop. How? Well, the staff here actually gives a damn about customer service. Whether you're browsing for a high-end 1911 custom shop pistol (which they have a very nice selection of btw), or looking to simply complete a private party transfer, the staff here is cordial and welcoming. For whatever reason, that is atypical of many gun shops where the general tone is apathetic at best. Fowler Gun Room - think Turner's, but with excellent service, good attitudes, and knowledgeable staff. You pay a bit of a premium but they have more in stock than other stores. The sales people go the extra mile to provide good service.

They have a very large selection of firearms in stock. If they don't have anything, they can order it for you, although I haven't done that yet, so I can't give you any real advice on that front. I have purchased 1 rifle and 1 shotgun from them in the last 9 months, and both times my experiences have been very pleasant. Sales people were friendly and knowledgeable. This is a great store with lots of merchandise, so they do get very busy sometimes, which means sometimes you'll have to wait a while to get service. So be patient. read more

I cant be more happy. I went to Fowler a week or so ago in this middle of the coronavirus madness. I needed some shells and bullets for my guns. There had to have been over 100 people in line... The employees were so kind and were working so hard. They kept the line moving and they never stopped working. I was so impressed. I tried to get bullets at a BIG5 earlier and it took over 3 hours to move 10 people. They blew through 100+ in a fraction of the time. Great place! I talked with a staff member about a purchase but what I wanted was not in stock, so they said they would order me one. With no down, I could not believe it. The staffs here are very knowledgeable and friendly. I spoke to Steve he is very helpful on long range shooting. Instead of selling u the most expensive rifle they will tell u what suits u best. Definitely recommended for those not sure what to look for. The only held back from 5 star is the price. The price for accessories and weapons are a bit over average may be because they go by the MSRP. They might have some discount coupon but I didn't have it at the time of visit. It's almost a shame to write this negative review, but it's hard to look past a very rude employee even though there were others who were very helpful. Walked in to meet a buyer for a ppt. Don't know the guy's name, but he looks up and asks how he can help. I'll hand this part to him, he started off well.... Hell, he even smiled. "I'm here to meet somebody to do a ppt," was my reply. "Well, you can go meet your friend outside, that has nothing to do with this store." At this point I actually chuckled because I thought he was making a lame joke. Turns out he was serious. Rude person, please tell me how a PPT doesn't have anything to do with a FFL store in which you work at?! I don't care if you misunderstood me and thought I was just here to meet the buyer to talk. There's no reason to be that rude. Luckily another employee chimed in at this point and pointed me in the direction of my buyer. He and I met, we were helped by another very nice and relaxed employee. Done in 10 minutes. The store has a LOT of stuff. I mean a LOT. And every other employee that I've interacted with was nice or at least polite. Too bad one bad apple can ruin the batch, but that's how it usually goes. read more

I went to this gun shop for the first time today and I am in love with this place. I needed my scope mounted and bore sighted. I called other places and they quoted me for almost $100 while they Fowler said $40. I took my gun in and after about 15 mins, Warren mounted and sighted everything and said I don't need to pay anything. It was done free of charge! read more

Great selection, plenty of inventory stocked, and staff is friendly/ fosters responsible firearms culture. The sales people there apparently know what they are doing because I went it to get a $2 bore brush, and left with an AR-15 rifle, magazines, etc. They also had firearms from particular movies, which the kids loved seeing.
