Gina is AMAZING! She makes you feel so comfortable and welcome the second you walk into her salon (which is absolutely gorgeous). Gina did my eye lashes for my wedding and they turned out so beautiful and natural looking and the 2 hour application process went by quickly. Gina also did my hair for our rehearsal and my bridesmaids hair for our wedding. I have pretty fine, long hair (and a lot of it) and Gina advised me on what she thought would work best with my hair type so it wouldn't fall out throughout the day. The end result was a bohemian side braid that was totally Pinterest worthy. My bridesmaids all had different updos and I asked Gina to make them more flowy and romantic rather than tight and traditional. Once again, Gina came through and my girls hair looked AMAZING. She was able to choose styles that worked for them and complimented their overall style and face. My girls said that they had never felt so pretty before. Gina gave me literally the best haircut of my life. I was in town visiting some friends up in Gig Harbor and got a recommendation to go see Gina. I always used to go to barber shops to get trimmed up because it is cheap and I am thinning, so I always figured it wouldn't matter. I. was. wrong. Gina proved to me that even with thinning hair, a good haircut is even MORE important. So here's why I will return to Fox and Vixen. 1. I called on short notice and she was able to find a time that worked for me. And even though she squeezed me in, I felt that she gave me a ton of personalized attention. Especially considering she probably thought she would never see me again. 2. She was welcoming! From the moment we met I felt like she was simply a good person. Her interpersonal communication was excellent, I described what I had always had, and what I kind of expected in a haircut. She listened, and then gave me some excellent suggestions and didn't just start chopping! Ended up that those suggestions really made a difference! 3. She didn't push expensive salon shampoo or anything like that. Her advice was REAL and useful. 4. Her salon space is really comfortable. Nicely remodeled, and tastefully decorated. Parking was EASY, and that's never the case from what I'm used to. It really is the little things. I can't really say enough good things about this experience and am actually looking forward to visiting again so that I can get the NEXT best haircut of my life! read more

Gina is awesome! I live in an RV full-time, traveling the country. It's a great life EXCEPT for having to take a wild stab at a hair salon when I can stand my outgrown hair no longer. I read the reviews on Yelp and messaged Gina to see if she could fit me in. I am so glad she could! She asked me to bring photos, we discussed some options, she suggested a fresh, feminine way to cut the back of my short hair. She listened to my concerns about my thinning hair and made some awesome suggestions. She was great about being conservative, then going back and trimming more once I had the chance to look at the length after drying it. All the while, she was so wonderful about suggesting things in the area to do, etc. She's naturally easy to talk with and did a great job on my short hair. IMHO, short hairstyles are not as forgiving as longer ones, so trusting a complete stranger is so scary. Gina totally nailed it. I was blessed to have spent a good part of a Saturday with Gina's magical hands not to long ago. With a cut and color she turned my so so hair into something wonderful and shiny. She respected that I did not want a lot cut off and still made it stylish and amazing! Not only that but I also received a full set of eyelashes at the same time. Gina is a seasoned pro at styling. While any barber asks me how I want my hair, it usually means simply short, medium, or long. But Gina offered options I'd never considered before, like coloring, because she has the training and experience to pull it off successfully. I walked out with a shorter cut than I normally get, but it looked sharp, which it needed to be for a social event I was attending days later. She attends carefully to seemingly minor details, not only eyebrows but also (this is gross) nostril and ear hairs. Because hey guys, women notice these things if they are overgrown. After all, whom are we trying to please with our appearance? The salon is uniquely and aesthetically designed inside, and Gina keeps the place spotless, even disinfecting her tools between customers. I never saw a barber do that, but of course it makes sense, why don't they all do it?
