First of all, $155.82 that included a $10.00 shop supplies to look and provide a estimate for repairs was never agreed upon. Second, I do live in Hagerstown, the sports car is mine, and I don't own a Ford. False acquisitions made by this business confirms that they don't know what they're talking about. I met Jim through a friend, and came to know he had just opened up his own shop, after many, many years of working for other folks. Since I distrust most mechanics, I had started down the path of doing my own auto repairs. But after discussing Jim's outlook on the profession, and how to run a business, I gave him a shot. He's checked over all three of our vehicles, and saved me a bit by recognizing some work the local Nissan dealer should cover under warrantee. I'm a woman, and he did not treat me like an idiot! I believe that Mr. James P. Fox killed my car. Took my car to him in April. Needs a timing belt and new radiator. He replaced the radiator, timing belt, pulleys, and water pump. All was great. In May, my wife took the car on a trip to NY. Leaving NY, in the Holland Tunnel during rush hour, the car started blowing steam and subsequently started to over heat. Limping out of the Holland Tunnel, she pulled to the shoulder and shut the engine off to let it cool down. Again, during a very dangerous rush hour. After it cooled down, she attempted to drive it, again, and again it over heated. Went through this cycle about 5 times and made it to a gas station. She filled the radiator with water and limped to a hotel 5 hours away from home. I drove up and met her in NJ that night. It was definitely leaking coolant. The next day, I had it towed to a local Subaru dealer. They found, and noted on the invoice, that a previous repair was done incorrectly. The fan was hitting the upper radiator hose and slowly wore a hole in it. They fixed it, around $200. Hotel, Repair, Towing, Gas, cost was upwards of $500. Took this the Mr. Fox and he denied that he had caused or had anything to do with the failure. It was obvious to me, and Subaru, that he had caused the problem. The car ran fine for two more months. Now it's overheating, again. Took it to someone else, obviously, and determined that I have a blown head gasket, caused by an over heating event in the last several months. So there it is. read more
