I don't remember the last time I had this much fun! We had never done an escape room before and chose the Zodiac Killer room. We worked like a well oiled machine and barely made it out in time with 3 min to spare (thanks to our amazing game master, Fred). I can't give anything away, but I'll say we were all surprised by how awesomely the room was set up and how cool the transitions from one clue to the next were. It was fast more elaborate than we expected and the details were fantastic. The fact that we got out in time was beyond exciting and satisfying, but the enthusiasms that Fred received us with enhanced the whole experience. Today we're back (only 2 weeks later because now we're addicted) and we're trying out the Bank Robbery room. We are so happy to see that Fred is here today and felt right at home with his happy greeting walking in. Of course we requested him as our game master again, and I strongly recommend you do the same. read more

What!!! That was so cool. Totally not what you'd expect when you here "escape room". From someone who is extremely claustrophobic, that was a breeze. So I've been to Fox in Box 3 times. Every single time was amazing. My friends and I always have a blast. My friends and I have never been to escape rooms prior to coming here. We ventured out in another escape room in Denver Colorado and it was not the same! These rooms are so detailed and very realistic. Everything is clean and the staff is incredible. Not a happy customer. Went to do a room today and was very disappointed with how it went down. We got there, filled out waiver and then went into the hall to talk with our game guide before entering our room. Eventually we were given T-shirts (we did prison break game) and blind folds and led into a room and placed one at a time to start the game. First off, my shirt was DISGUSTING and smelled like B.O. It was so gross they had to replace it. I wonder if they ever wash them. I wanted to vomit. Not even kidding. Puke worthy. The person behind me could smell it and the game guide acknowledged it stunk as well. Once the new shirt was delivered, the guide told us when we heard the music start we could take our blindfolds off and start our game. Music starts, we start. All good. Game itself was challenging. Don't want to give anything away, but when we got to the second to last puzzle we needed a clue. They told us to look at a paper that we found and see the "lines and arrows" to help us figure it out. Yeah, no lines or arrows on paper. If there were, we would have figured it out no problem. We then look at time clock and see we have 10 minutes left, but we have only been in room 40 minutes. We question it and are told, "this is a live action game" and it started when we signed our waivers and went with the game guide into the hall. So all the time we were chit chatting in the hall with our guide was eating away our time. Not once did they mention this or we would have said later dude. Get us in the room. We have done over 40 rooms and know how it works. Room doesn't start till you are in the room and in place, especially when they have to blindfold you and walk you in separately one by one. When we got out of the room and they asked how our experience was, I offered a suggestion, let people know that their clock is running once they walk in. Ridiculous that my time is going whiwhen your employee is going over directions. They said they gave us an extra five minutes because we questioned it, but they did not. We started the room at 4:14 and were walking out the door at 5:09. That was 55 minutes and that included a conversation after the game. To top it all off, THERE WAS NOT A SINGLE PERSON WAITING TO PLAY AFTER US! They could have easily given us our hour to play. I paid over $140 for 4 people to play and it left a bad taste in my mouth. Your clues have to be written correctly and you have to tell people when the game starts. I have been here before, but I guarantee you, I will never be back. UPDATE: So Linda can spin it any way she wants, but: 1. The shirt was TOTALLY DISGUSTING and no where did I mention they replaced it quickly. Hardly. We sat and waited for it to be replaced while we were blindfolded, and could not start the game, but yet our clock was running. 2. WE DID NOT ARRIVE 30 minutes late. 3. YOUR staff chit chatted our time away with no regard to our game. You cheated us out of our time and the clue in question was a little piece of paper towards the end that, according to your people who give clues, told us it should have arrows and dashes, but guess what, it didn't! Oh, and you might want to check your records or cameras....when we finished, THERE WAS NOT A SINGLE PERSON IN THE WAITING ROOM, which would mean no one was waiting for our room. CRAPPY EXPERIENCE AND EVEN CRAPPIER CUSTOMER SERVICE. read more

Fox in a box is, to what I consider, something EVERYONE should try at least once; believe it, only takes one try to make you go back and do all 5 levels. Me and my friends had a blast trying to figure out every step to escape the rooms, which we did 2 of them in one day. An amazing experience! This was my first escape room encounter. I celebrated a friends birthday here. We were a group of 10. We split and did two different escape rooms (Bank Robbery and Zodiac killer). I think the price was ultra expensive $37.00; however, I thoroughly enjoyed the the camaraderie amongst my group of friends. This would be a great team building exercise. Also, parking is expensive- there is no parking for this business, you have to park in the garage ($15) or the cash parking lot (3 minute) walk (I paid $5). Also, be on time for your reserved time! This Fox in the box location is in downtown so it's near Brickell if you desire to convene for dinner and cocktails later to discuss the escape room fun! read more

This was my second time at Fox in a box. The first time I took 5 employees and we really enjoyed it. This second time was no different except I took 16 employees. We did the bunkers and the bank robbery rooms. We all enjoyed our experience. The staff was very helpful and accommodating too. A couple of things to consider, the robbery room had a couple of broken parts that were essential to completing the room. This delayed us a little. All in all, it was a great time! read more

I went through the Prison break room with Nayib as my room supervisor and It was a Blast, not only did he do a great job at keeping us disoriented he also made the hints interesting. We came here over our honeymoon. We did three rooms and succeeded in escaping from each of them. They accommodate 2-person groups much better than many escape rooms do. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and the rooms are interesting. Only complaints with the rooms: too much fog machine use (my eyesight is bad enough without fog helping to hinder it), and needing to reach into/through small spaces can be difficult if you're a larger person. Juliana was a great "voice in the sky" and we hope to come back and do the rest of the rooms someday! read more

This place is awesome! Whoever made these rooms are so creative. Very fun and very engaging. I've done 3 rooms (Zombie Escape Room 2x and Zodiac Killer Room 1x) My friends and I haven't finished them, they're hard but very fun. You definitely have to do things fast, but it helps you focus more! You can either get ALL hints or a hint every 10 minutes (I would recommend that if you don't want too much help and if you're really, really stuck). What an experience! Absolutely recommend this company for escape rooms. Our first time there myself and a group of friends did the zodiac room. Hard as S***!! We actually did not pass it the first time (it is rated as difficult level 10 which is the hardest room) so we actually ended up going back weeks later and booking the same room again since we were determined to finish, and we did! Great staff, so incredibly friendly and accommodating. They begin the escape room right on time so make sure you get there a few mins before your scheduled time to fill out basic info on their iPads! Great experience! This was my first time doing an escape room and it was a lot of fun. Several in my group had done some before and they also remarked how great this place is compared to the ones they did elsewhere. We did the prison escape which contains cells from a real prison in Iowa. The difficulty was moderate with some things being very easy and other clues being harder. I won't give away anything else. The staff is great, and appears to have almost as much fun as we did. There are lockers for your stuff that have phone chargers inside(nice touch and convenient). We look forward to going back and doing other rooms(like zodiac killer or bank robbery) as they have a nice selection, with 2 more coming in the near future. read more

Amazing experience for my first escape room!! Place is very clean. Staff is extremely friendly and respectful! The staff member that did the interactive escape room with us was named "The Great Nayib" I believe, and he was so kind and made the experience very enjoyable. The escape rooms are very cool! I did the zombie one where you have to create an antidote to save the world and the room was extremely interactive and well set up. Oh wow! We played more than 20 escape rooms throughout Europe and US and this was by far the best one! Props are actually real, and all of the rooms look like a movie set. Facility is HUGE and extremely clean. Staff is polite, proffessional and they love their job, which makes all the difference. I highly highly recommend this place! We played 4 out of 5 rooms. I recommend booking few days in advance, because this place is fully booked pretty much every night. This place is FANTASTIC!!!! We did our team building here last night and it was so much fun! We split into two groups. One group did the Nuclear Bunker, and my group did the Prison Break. It's so well done, we really felt like we were living the game. When we got into the Prison Room, they slammed the bars shut (yes, real jail bars!) and the music started. I felt like I was in Orange is the New Black! The puzzles were really great too, not easy at all and you really had to work together to make it work. If you're reading this to get clues and hints, sorry charlie, no way am I going to spoil that for you! Just know, bring smarties with you! the 60 minutes goes by FAST. The other group said theirs was great too, lots of puzzles and things to solve. I definitely want to go back and try the others.
