If your thinking about buying from these guys don't do it! They willing sell you broken motorcycles, I got the Boom Vader 125cc "Ready to Ride" Edition from them, it ran for only an hour and broke down. The Clutch System for the bike never worked at all, The Bike would even roll with the clutch held all the way in. The battery died fast on the bike as well, I tried roll starting it but that doesn't work so I bet the starter is dead as well... Redfox claims to test out the bikes before they ship it out, but they never did this! Whatever you do, take your money else where! read more

If there was a brown star for service, it would be a 3,because of the amount of $h! % that I just dealt with. The service department is a terrible. Parts department led me to believe that my junk cylinder was repairable. So service department charged me almost 260$ to Polish a turd. The only reason I call it a turd is that village motorsports in Plainfield showed me that the work was a waste of time. Fox sure didn't mention that when I went to pick it up. But they wrote it on the receipt. To cover their own a$$. They offered to make it right by charging 240$ more! What a deal! No thanks. At least village motorsports won't lie. Was looking for a motorcycle jacket. The selections are slim and priced 20% higher than other places and online. Won't price match but did offer to lower the price a little. They are the only place around with the capacity and be able to try stuff on. They need to lower prices. Increase inventory and brands. Maybe they would sell more! Better for everyone. read more

I highly recommend Fox Powersports for my long distance, sales experience with them. I live in NYC and purchased a used motorcycle which they gave me a very good price for. I highly recommend asking for the sales rep, Brandon Slomp! He is professional, he cares, he goes out of his way to do all he can for you. Stephanie who handles the paperwork is also a gem. I went in last week to get an armored riding jacket and gloves. When I walked through the door, I heard a 'hey' from across the room, and that was the most interaction I received from an associate my entire time there. I tried on 6 different jackets and four different pairs of gloves without any of the four employees even saying hi or asking if I needed help. When I looked around, I saw that the four employees were standing together at the counter, talking among themselves. This is pretty sad considering that the gloves are about 10 ft from the counter. I finally left after not getting any help. I don't know if this is a common problem there, but I was not happy at all. I had a lot of questions on protective gear and don't feel comfortable purchasing something from people who don't the courtesy to greet me with something other than a 'hey' from a distance. I ended up going to another shop across town and will most likely continue to go there because the staff was helpful. read more

They sold me bike with 250 problems ( internal ) when i contacted them about it they never responded unlike when i was trying to buy the bike and had 3 different salesman contacting me. Service dept is also shit, they don't communicate at all. I called to get a pricing on service and the idiots told me 1400$ for a job i had done the next week at Village MotorSports for 300$. I brought my 2013 Aprilia SR 50 Scooter to Fox Powersports, LLC on March 24 2021 for them to repair. Christopher told me they were about 2 weeks out I said no problem. Well three and a half weeks went by so I called Christopher and ask what was up, he told me it is on the schedule to be look at. I said ok cool, he said he would get back with me, a week goes by, never called ,so I call him again and asked them what 's going on, going to check it that day and he again said he would call so a couple days later he text me and said it needed a spark plug and they had to order it, so about 3 weeks I call him he's not there so someone else said they would check it out for me. Well he came back and told me the plug was in and they will look at it Saturday, well that didn't happen again Christopher text me and said it ran bad and it needed a throttle body and will take a couple weeks because it will be coming from overseas. I said ok order it. 2 weeks later I called Christopher, he is on vacation and the person I was talking to said he would get back with me and never did, WoW, So I wait till Chris gets back and I call no one answers the phone, did that 3 times and left a message and never got a call. I finally got a hold of him and he said he never got the messages, again wow.. Anyways he tell me the part was in and they will fix it on Saturday, again that didn't happen. Anyways a week or so goes by and Christopher texted me and told me it was done and gave me the total cost and said it had to warm up for about 5 minutes and it ran good.. That is why I brought it to them because it ran bad when it warmed up and they call that fixed.. WOW. I tried to call him and talk to him about it and he would not return my call. So I go pick it up on June 4th paid him he goes and gets my scooter and drives it back to me and told me to let it warm up so it will run good for me.. I told him to just shut it off because if it don't run right when I get it home I will never bring it back here and leave it for almost 3 months and he just walked away from me and did not help me put it on my trailer.. So sad. Oh and I tried calling and talking to a manager and her/ or she was to busy to talk to me. The scooter still runs like it did when I brought it in and cost me $471.64 and he told me I got a discount, LOL How is that a discount when it's not totally fixed right?.. Pre-order a 50cc motorcycle for upcoming Xmas. Credit was charged. I started emailing after two weeks to ask for an update. No response. Made phone call, given false response. Called the next day and same false response. I was told that it had shipped and would be getting tracking number no later than 5 that evening. Again no email,no tracking information, nothing. I ended up disputing charges to my card. I don't not recommend. read more

I placed an order online for parts totaling $326 with my credit card, proper billing address and a separate shipping address. My card was charged and then I was contacted via email stating I needed to send them a copy of my credit card, front and back and a copy of my driver's license. I explained that I can provide a copy of my passport no problem but I did not want to send scans of my credit card via insecure email, and that this is actually a violation of credit card regulations. They said unless I provided all of those things they would cancel my order. I did not agree, they canceled my order but still charged my card. read more

I due to having ridden Ducatis since the mid 90's, I have been approached by others inquiring about Ducati dealers, and their reputability, so I decided to review my experiences with Fox Powersports. First and foremost, I found the Service department to be spot-on. Their communication and keeping me abreast of what was going on was on point. When they stated they would call, they did, and they left detailed voicemails if I was unavailable. I WOULD recommend the Ducati service at Fox. As for the rest of the "compound," I would compare Fox Powersports to Bert's Megamall in Los Angeles, CA. It's a great place to see 80% of your options out there, but you will want to finalize your purchase at another dealer. When I arrived I was looking for a Ducati super bike and was greeted by Bob, Sales Manager. He had no idea who Valentino Rossi, Casey Stoner, or Troy Bayliss was, and he had to double check that Ducati was manufactured in Italy. Furthermore, he stated his expertise revolved around stretching swingarms and drag racing in a 1/4 mile. Not sure how that relates to Ducatis or the Ducatisti, since we don't jackpot out our bikes and we desire a street legal race machine for the road. Needless to say, I purchased my super bike elsewhere. Some unexpected plans were going to place my Duc on the stands for a bit, so I decided to sell my super bike. Everything on my bike was carbon fiber, it was the "S" model, had the Termi exhaust, and all the fairings were wrapped in a protective laminate. I called Fox and spoke with Bob, who offered me an upper-low ball offer. I told him everything I had on the bike, and he told me that the additions didn't matter and the additions were purely for the owner's aesthetic benefit; but they added no additional value. With that information I went into Fox and spoke with Bob, as if I was going to purchase a bike. I asked Bob if the additions I wanted to place on my bike would be a good idea for value, and he told me that anything you place on a Ducati greatly appreciates the value. I spoke to a gentleman in the next position higher than Bob regarding this situation, and he told me that Bob didn't have the authority to make any offers, and this gentleman made me the lowest low ball offer ever. The ethics coming out of Fox Powersports are quite lacking, and I wouldn't take a complementary brochure from them. You have Ducati Detroit a few hours away and they are extremely client focused there; with a section that can do anything you request to your bike. You also have a shop around Chicago, and I have heard they are extremely client oriented as well. Again, I had only positive experiences with the Fox Service dept., but for anything else, go elsewhere. You will be happy you did. read more

Traveling from Oregon and planning ahead, I called Fox Powersports of Kentwood nearly two weeks before I arrived. I knew I would need new tires for my Moto Guzzi Norge (Fox Powersports is a Moto Guzzi Dealer) about the time I got to Grand Rapids, MI. I was assured that they had several different tire sets and given good prices on the tires and $125 to mount. I made my situation clear - traveling, needing to leave the bike for a few days and wanting to be able to quickly, easily and timely service my bike so I could continue my trip. The key was, I would drop the Norge off on a Wednesday and pick up on Friday. I called a couple of days out, confirmed the price, specified the Pirelli Angel GT's for approximately $300 and $125 to mount. I dropped the bike off and was called that afternoon to inform me it was done. When I got there on Friday, two days later, I was given a bill for $500. Being shocked, I confronted the rep, the very same one who I had repeatedly dealt with, and he whittled it down to $475. I was informed the process took longer than was expected. Fox Powersports is a Moto Guzzi Dealer who should know this bike, the Norge/Breva line is one of the easiest bikes to change tires on AND, nearly all dealers I have dealt with base routine service tasks on a flat rate and stick to it. Not willing to spoil my vacation with further acrimony, I paid it and left. I felt taken advantage of and cheated, perhaps due to my out of town status. Simply put, I will never return and cannot recommend Fox Motorsports. read more

Not happy with my experience over there. Got charged more than I was quoted for the new tire they told me I had to purchase because the tire I had on there for four years wouldn't seal and more for labor than they quoted me. The tubes that held air before I took them in suddenly didn't hold air anymore so I had to get new ones. And I had to drive over there twice in the week it took to order and put on tires to figure out what was going on because the service department doesn't answer phone calls or return messages. read more

I decided I wanted to come in and see what I might like. I am a big fan of outdoor adventures, but this place was not helpful at all. I was repulsed by the manners and customer service from the employees. I received horrible treatment by the staff, and was not taken seriously. I don't have the experience with powersport equipment, but was more than willing to pay the price for a brand new vehicle. However I was disregarded and the sales woman was rude and unhelpful to myself. I would never return to this establishment, and would seriously look elsewhere to shop. read more

I love shopping at Fox and I am a repeat customer. I have always been treated amazingly well every time I step foot in the store. The salesmen are phenomenal and treat every person like a VIP. I will definitely go to Fox first for all my motorcycle needs. The store is clean and bright with so many amazing different vehicles to see. Now on the other hand the service department is a no go for me. I have had nothing but bad experiences with them. A few examples are after taking my bike in for an oil change there were greasy fingerprints on my tank when I picked it up. C'mon guys, clean up after yourself. Walking into the service bay I am not acknowledged, no hello, no we'll be right with you, nothing. It only takes a couple of seconds to say hello and acknowledge your customer when they walk in the door. The worst was having the valves adjusted, when I picked up my bike I noticed a $40 charge for changing spark plugs. I never asked for spark plugs and no one bothered to call me and ask if I wanted it done. When I questioned it, the tech Ted got extremely rude with me and said he would take them out. When he ripped them out and put the old ones back in he broke a tie that was holding a cable. I was really pissed that he took it upon himself to alter my bike without my permission then have the audacity to charge me for it. Outside of the service department I love Fox and would definitely recommend them for all of your purchasing desires. read more

I've bought many bikes here over the years, 3 when they were over on 29th and one from the new store on 44th. I've always liked the staff here. Ozzy is an awesome sales person that is great to work with. They have always been more than fair on trade-ins and have been helpful whenever I've needed it. This is my go to place for any sort of Powersports needs now, and the fact that they now have all of the brands brought over from Shawmut (namely Honda) makes the selection even greater. read more

I've been riding for over 20 years and they wasted my time by not telling me the upfront price and having to go through their crappy sales process. Finally got the price and it was $500 more than the other dealer in town. Don't waste your time here. The employees are always in a bad mood any time I come in to buy parts. In 2017 purchased a new 2016 commander max, great machine and Bob was fantastic to deal with. Fast forward to 2018, the rear brakes make horrible noises while soft braking, mash the brakes there is no problem. So I do some research on Can-Am forums and this seems to be a real problem for everyone with these machines. I tried the fixes explained in the forums to only get a short term repair, the problem arises with-in 30 miles. I decided to go to Fox for some help, Bob is no longer employed there so I speak with there ''Can-Am specialist'' and he has ''never heard of this problem''. I give benefit of the doubt and ask if he could do some research and find if there is anything from Can-Am to correct this problem. Now almost a month later, nothing from Fox, customer service at fox is non-existent. If you want a good looking building and a mess of powersports in stock, this is your place, if you want customer service, any place other than here is your place, I mean any place. read more

My four wheeler needed a starter, Fox stated it would be one week for repairs. I called after two weeks and they said they were waiting for parts. They need a filter and lens. After 22 days I stopped in and asked about the repairs. They dodged me again. The day after I was there they called and said I needed a starter. That tells me they never looked at the four wheeler for 22 days. The bill was $397.00 with discounts. They told me the starter was $160.00. So a lens and oil change was $230.00. I bought a new Hynundai at in 2003, a new Rogue in 2010 and I have my Frontier serviced at Fox. Maybe I will look elsewhere next time. read more
