I told him my husband just replaced both the cabin and air filter last week. I told him they either didn't look at the filter or just said that it needed replacing to increase the price. Understanding the fine print and things left unsaid. **This first bit is the experience with my car, after, I'll give you a few heads up about the warranty etc. The overall experience I had with Fox Honda was not great. I purchased about a year and a half ago a 2012 Honda Odyssey. Immediately we ran into a lot of issues. The first day, about 3 hours into owning the vehicle the check engine light came on. Apparently a hose came undone. A simple fix but severely inconvenient as I needed to drive all the way back on a Saturday morning when I was supposed to be taking the vehicle to GA that morning before a severe snow storm hit, which it did before we could leave. They did make that right by giving me a large gift card which we used to cover the gas cost of driving their and back etc. The following issues we discovered on our way to GA. The first issue we noticed was a grinding noise when we turned. It was the CV axle. They however, were convinced that it was strut plate and it just needed to be replaced/lubed. I brought it in the next week and it was fixed according to them. The sound was still there after leaving the lot. They said they couldn't hear it and it wasn't anything to worry about. Long story short, the CV axle broke a little after the warranty ended. So I ended up fixing it myself on the side of the road. The noise was completely gone. So don't trust the shop when they say it was fixed. *** Warranty and hidden details So the warranty, while they throw a lot of info at you, you need to really pay attention to what is covered. Things to ask? What isn't covered, which will likely be a lot." Will this cover my sliding door. Will this cover my electrical, shocks and struts, suspension. And be detailed about those things. What parts of the suspension does it cover. Control arms, sway bar links etc. It's their job to answer any questions they ask. The sales people know their trade and will avoid ANY drawbacks if they can manage. Another important question to ask is costs. From my experience, if they even look at your car, warranty or no, you are charged... a very hefty fee. 2023 it was I believe 120 just to look at ONE section of the car. Now there are several sections of the car, so the price can climb extremely fast. For example, my sliding door wasn't opening. It was due to a weird safety feature. My abs sensor stopped working about 4 months into owning it. I took it in thinking it was under warranty. I was charged 120 to look at the door. The doors were fine, it was the ABS. So they wanted to charge another 120 just to look at the abs. And that "full guarantee" warranty, didn't cover any of these issues. ***Conclusion 1. My first advice. Do NOT take no for an answer. They never discussed this when I purchased the car, but you have I believe 5k mile full coverage warranty. There is likely a time limit on it too. If you have an issue, you be the boss of them. If there is a clunking and it didn't go away after they said they fixed it. Be that person. Be the person who gets their way. It's not on you, don't feel guilty getting your stuff fixed. You were guaranteed a proper vehicle. Get it. And really be thorough. What might be a no worry problem from their mouth, maybe a potentially life threatening problem. 2. Check what your warranty is. If you can work on vehicles, get the warranty that fits your needs. Like replacing an engine is one thing. Fixing a strut etc, don't pay for the warranty that covers that. 3. Understand what it costs to get your vehicle fixed. Again, its 120 or more just to have it looked at. The mechanics know what your issues are (usually). You might not be a mechanic, but they are. If you have issues, ask a mechanic friend for an opinion, or even bring one in when buying a used vehicle so they can help with diagnosing the problems the mechanics/sale team are hiding. 4. ALWAYS look under the sticker prices. Sometimes those are covering things like a cracked windshield etc. 5. Lastly. You are not their friend. They don't care about you. You are a person who is giving them money. They are ALWAYS super friendly up front. Once you sign your money to them, you are no longer their concern. Remember this, because if you have issues they will pull a complete 180 on you. I am not saying every experience has to be bad. Which is why I gave them a 2 star. They have potential... but if they can make an easy buck of you, they will. read more

Hands down the best customer service during and, more importantly, after the sale I have ever received...on any purchase I've ever made. My vehicle had an issue arise (this was well after I purchased it) with a check engine light and a terrible noise under the hood. I dropped it off around lunch time, not expecting to have it back for a few days. I reached out to Richard to let him know the car was having an issue. Our van burst into flames 7 minutes after leaving our service appointment! We had our van in for a transmission drain and refill. We used Fox Honda for service since we purchased our van there in 2015. When completed, my wife drove about 7 minutes and parked in a parking lot because she smelled smoke. She got out safely as the fire consumed the engine area and started into the front seats. The fire was contained to the front half thanks to the speedy response from the Kentwood fire department. Fox Honda would not take any accountability. I spoke to the service manager, general manager and their lawyer. They were only looking out for themselves and just wanted us to deal with our insurance. Terrible customer service! I set up and appointment 2 weeks in advance to get my window fixed, as it came off track. I just moved to Michigan from Texas and Fox Honda was the closest dealership within 50 miles, so, even after reading bad reviews on service, I still decided to save time and money by trying them first hand. Bad decision. When I drove up, I was not greeted for approximately 5 minutes of pulling in. Once finally greeted, it took them another 30+ minutes to get all my information (AGAIN, after setting it all up over the phone). AND I was informed I'd have to fill up the loaner tank, which never in my experience have I had to do when using a loaner from the dealership. Once I returned the car, again, I was not greeted upon entry from any employee in the service area for until standing there for a few minutes. The sales rep who assisted let me know some of the information they had would need to be updated when I came back again. I notified him I gave all my updated information TWICE already and I would not be coming back. Instead of asking why and seeing if he could improve my customer experience, he ignored my comment and sent me on my way. If you are looking for a place that makes you feel confident in their work and like a respectable customer, DO NOT GO HERE. In addition to the poor customer care, my car is brand new and they simply oiled up my window and sent me off. Stating, "if it happens again, you need to replace the window regulator". If my window regulator isn't working properly, why didn't you change it out and set me up appropriately, instead of masking the problem? Again, I repeat, DO NOT GO HERE FOR CAR SERVICE! read more

Wow is all I can say. I called to make two appointments one for my sons car and one for my car as it had a recall. I told Cam I lived in Greenville and asked for a shuttle, he said no problem. I then brought both cars and the shuttle driver said it was to far, 10-12 mile radius. Apparently the women who checked us in said Can said he never would tell someone that. So they gave us a loaner for the day. How convenient Can ran to get that knowing he told us that. I didn't say anything and said forget it not worth the effort to complain about being called a liar. Then I approved my brakes for my car and Cam notified that the Civic will need to be done on Tuesday. We waited all day Tuesday for them to tell us that they don't have the parts and it needs to be ordered. So we approved what work we wanted done and decided five minutes later to add the boot on left front side as it was leaking. I called and text Wednesday all day waiting for a response and of course no response. I called Cam around 3:04 pm asking about the car. He stated that I came and picked the car up because the parts weren't ready. Ummmmmmm why would I call asking if the car is ready if I had the car? Cam said he would ask the technician and hung up the phone. Then I called spoke to Roxanne to transfer me to Cam and she hung up on me. I spoke to Rob the manager and he was disrespectful and lied to me saying I approved this at 7:07 pm Tuesday but what he doesn't know is I was told it would originally be done on Tuesday. I was putting the vehicle in storage costing me more money having to delay it more and more days. I spoke to Robb who said it would be another two hours for the work and to show up at 5:54 pm. I have appointments all day and don't have time for all this delay. I left Joe a message to call me with this information. He told me he was nice enough to call me back and offer me 10 percent discount. Apparently these people don't realize I have other things to get done. I asked Robb to have them drop the car off he said no they will not do that. Joe notified he would have the car dropped off. Joe said the car was done on Tuesday so how is that if the parts had to be ordered? Now I think that they didn't do any of the work but they want to offer a discount, seriously. If I didn't approve the work until 7:07 pm as Robb claimed then how was the work done when they closed at 6 pm. Robb told me that the work still hasn't been done. Joe said I added work this morning which was not true. I added the boot 5 minutes after the estimate came in on Tuesday. Customer service is all about customers I will never come here again. What a shame people are lied to over some work on a car. Should be ashamed of yourselves, what an embarrassment. This is ridiculous! Update to Joe message to me, as you can see Joe your name is in the review so I have already spoken to you and you know that. I was told by you that I would get 10% off for the hassle. When I mentioned that to Robb he stated "you have caused to much havoc and that offer is taken back per Joe since you told him to f### off!" I would like to hear the voice message where I stated that, more lies. I would stay away from Honda it is not a good place and or good people to do business with. Oh I paid them in full and they parked my car with keys in it and left it in my driveway. They knew the car was stored and on storage so I am sure I will have to replace the 500.00 worth of nonsense they did when the parts were 84.00 the rest was labor. Worst ever experience in 50 years of new car buying. Once we had agreed verbally to a potential buy I had placed a $500 refundable deposit. I had additional questions about the vehicle and no one would get back to me. I then texted, left voicemails, and emailed the sales person and the sales manager with no answers coming. I then decided not to purchase and requested that the sales person, sales manager, and general manager take action to see that my deposit was returned. Still no action after 30 days. I have had to initiate a dispute with my bank card provider and am waiting resolution. My local dealer was able to give me a better deal on my trade and purchase and always got back to me within an hour to answer any questions I had. I don't know how Fox Honda can stay in business with this total lack of customer service. read more

Outstanding service, customer service and workmanship. Fox Service not only diagnosed the problem in a timely manner, but, they ordered the part and provided me a loaner. From the minute I dropped off my car, to the time it was determined I needed a part they needed to order I was kept in the loop. The check in text/app for my appointment was easy to use, the app also provided updates and a completed report as to what was completed and the cost it would be. I had previously taken my civic to another Honda dealer in my hometown 3 times and they couldn't diagnose the issue. I drove the 45 minutes to Fox Honda and they figured it out in the first try. I bought my civic here and in hindsight I should have drove the 45 minutes to get it serviced here. They have a loyal customer in me for life. I have been having a lot of issues with my tires that were installed by Wilde Honda in Waukesha, Wisconsin. However Ken from Fox Honda has been so helpful everytime I've had an issue while in Michigan. Both times he has been more than willing to help and understanding of my frustrations. Also being a female it is very hard to get help with car issues without being looked down at, Ken has never been rude or talked down to me. I purchased a 2015 CRV in another state even though I reside in GR. I was promised 4 free oil changes by the dealership but my first service came due in Michigan. Fox Honda was very accommodating honoring that promise, thumbs up Fox Honda, though they did state any more oil changes I would have to pay, thumbs down Fox Honda, if you purchase a Honda, anywhere Honda should have first few oil changes free, like Ford. Had an issue with my rear right tire being wobbly and it had been an ongoing issue for at least a year before my most recently oil change on 9/13. After 3 days dealing with Sirius on the phone and email and NO HELP, Christian at Fox Honda was able to fix my Sirius radio within minutes (Sirius gave up and would not help me!). Have had our cars serviced here before. Purchased 2 cars from them. Had an issue with a car intermittently not starting. Brought it in. Apparently they hooked it up to a computer that told them the battery wasn't 100% so they assumed that was the problem. Spent $275. Next day, the car wouldn't start. Big surprise. Had a co-worker drive me home. Had to borrow a car to get to work the next day. Called Fox Honda who suggested I have the car towed back to them so they could look at it again. No thanks. No concern for the customer. Only concern is volume. Took the car to a local garage that actually takes the time to talk to you and even calls you to make sure your car is working properly after the repairs. I had a scheduled appointment and they were ready for me. While working on my Saab, they let me know that my rear brakes were nearly gone and I had a broken spring. Most people would feel like the dealership was just looking for me to spend more money. Their service department is crooked. I brought my car in to get the brakes checked out. They told me I needed new pads, rotars and calipers. I was quoted $815. This seemed high, so I got a second opinion. At the second mechanic, I discovered that Honda didn't even take apart the car AND that my calipers were "like new". The new mechanic fixed the issue for $200. I wouldn't take my car here to get fixed if they were giving away free service. Nor would I recommend anyone to ever buy a car from these thieves. read more

Whenever I go to this Dealership on Broadmoor, Grand Rapids MI. The customer service is excellent. They make sure that I have a clear understanding of any problems with my vehicle and upfront cost if repairs are needed. They never try to over sale, it's always an easy experience. I once had a situation but I addressed it with management and I was over compensated above and beyond what I expected. I purchased my CRV four years ago and still loving it, as well as the care they put into keeping it running by alerting me with maintenance inspections. I went to Fox Honda Friday, July 31, at 1:00 PM hoping to get an oil change. There were at least seven cars ahead of me, but I assumed things would move right along as I was in the "express" oil change lane. I waited over 30 minutes and during that time it appeared that only two cars were serviced. At the rate cars were being serviced, I figured I wouldn't be out of there in less than two hours so I left. I suggest that when things are busy, Fox have at least two express lanes going and make an effort to move things along quickly. Up until now, I've been totally impressed with Fox Honda, but I'll definitely find a more efficient place of business to have my oil changed. read more

Fox Honda is an organization that can not seem to e truthful. I suggest staying away from them. In the midst of leasing a vehicle I was told my trade was down graded as it could not be Honda Certified when to my surprise a few days later my old vehicle was listed as Honda Certified. Also I was told by the manager that tires had to be replaced when the tires were less than 10,000 miles on them with tire rotation and no alignment issues. read more
