I guess it's true that some places stay in business regardless of how they operate because people…read morefortunately (or unfortunately) just need what they sell. But if you could find another place to get your propane I'd recommend you do that! Needed new valves out in two 10lbs. bottles. Drive up to the office. Walked in and was told to take my bottle to the guy who fills them. I did that and was told by him that he didn't know how long it would take and that it would be $25 per bottle plus the cost of filling them. He said it'll probably take two weeks or so to do. Gave me a red tag and that's it. Didn't take my name, number nothing. Called them about three weeks after I dropped them off. They said just come down. I said I don't want to make the trip if they are t ready. Lady said she was only one at the desk and would have to get back to me. I said can't you just put me on hold and call the guys cell phone to check the ticket. She replied telling me the guy doesn't answer his cell phone. These guys make so much money selling propane, natural gas, etc. and should be held to a much higher set of standard business practices. Finally got a call an hour later telling me that they were ready for pick up. I drive there and go to pay and the bill is $125!!!! What happened to $25 per bottle plus the propane fill??? Oh there is a desertification fee and labor to screw in two valves that was more per bottle then the parts combined!! Needless to say I'll be going elsewhere from now on for propane and I'd advise anyone else to go elsewhere too!

We scheduled a delivery for the following week. When it wasn't delivered, we called and were told…read morethey would not deliver any until the tank was under 30% full. This after a 10 minute hold on the phone. We told her to cancel our order. We arranged delivery and paid with another company. Then, before the new company delivered, Northwest showed up without our knowledge, filled our tank, charged our credit card, and left without leaving a bill. We contacted them, by email this time, and instead of a "sorry, our bad...how can we make this right" we got a diatribe on how the other propane companies are dishonest and we should be on their automatic fill up program. We told them to come and get their propane. We won't use them again.

Decatur Bowie Propane rocks! This is my first experience with the propane system. Time came for my…read morefirst fill and I called and service was outstanding. Cody came to do the initial inspection and check my stove. He was very informative, friendly and he adjusted my stove in two minutes and a year of frustration disappeared! He is very thorough and helpful, not to mention easy to talk to. Then later that day, Clint came and filled my tank. So friendly, efficient and a pleasure to deal with all around. I would heartily recommend this company for all your propane needs! Zach in the office was able to schedule our fill in a timely manner and called to make sure everything was good. Best company to call!!

I gave the tech a $2,200 cash deposit that "disappeared" and was invoiced months later for the full…read moreamount. The $2,200 that I paid for half of the bill never made it to my account. I do not recommend this company whatsoever. The tech surprisingly asked for half of the bill on the day of installation because I needed to pay for the tank and for rental fees since their trench digger was down. I was caught off guard but I happened to have had $2,200 cash on me. I gave it to him and left since I missed a half day of work to meet him at the house and had to get to work. How would I know about the trench digger rental if he wasn't justifying asking for a deposit? After several calls nothing at all was done to accommodate the situation. You can imagine the frustration of paying $6,003.42 for a $3,803.42 bill. Who would do something like this? Owner would not take a call or email. In response to the reply from the business-I called the Wise County Sheriff on 1/30 and spoke to a detective and he told me there was nothing they could do without a receipt and he suggested I speak to a lawyer, which I had already done. I relayed this to Reese, but by reading your reply, I guess that detail never got to you. It's the tech's word against mine. After I handed him the cash, he placed the twenty two $100 bills on the left side in his already full metal clipboard, I saw them spill to the right inside the case as he closed it while he sat half way in his truck. He wrote something down but I did not get a receipt. The stack of cash was neat and all facing the same direction and I thought what a mess he made of the bills. Why not check his work order from that day and see what he wrote? It's about integrity. I didn't realize there was any reason to distrust. My mistake for assuming I could trust a guy representing your company. I even called him while I was driving away to see if he was going to send a receipt but he said there would not be a receipt until the he installation was paid in full. To the technician, you know who I am talking to. I hope you needed it and we forgive you. I know you were on hard times with illness in your family and we waited weeks for our installation you because you are their best guy. You probably missed a lot of work. Our hearts still go out to you and all you've been through. We never wanted you to get in trouble or press charges but it would have helped if you did not let me look crazy or if you at least could apologize for your actions. I'm sure this could have been resolved without a blemish to your work history, it probably still could. Regardless, I truly pray all is well with you and your loved ones.
