I went to Vein and Laser yesterday for the first time, for a tattoo removal consultation. After the…read moreprocedure was thoroughly explained to me by the nurse (Bea), I decided to go ahead with the laser treatment on my arm and leg. Bea did such a wonderful job of making me feel more at ease, as I was fairly nervous. She explained the numbing process and constantly checked in with me to make sure I was doing okay throughout, which gave me a sense of comfort. She did not rush the procedure at all. I am prone to anxiety, and Bea's kindness and professionalism helped me get through it. Also, the laser portion of the treatment was truly painless! Upon completion of the procedure, I was sent home with a packet of after-care instructions, ice packs, and all the supplies needed to bandage up & care for the areas that were lasered while they heal. I am confident that I have finally found the right place to remove my tattoos once and for all, which is such a relief. There are several tattoo removal clinics out there, but based on my prior experiences and comparison to my great appointment at Vein and Laser, I'm not certain of their effectiveness or legitimacy. I highly recommend this office, as your care will come from a medical doctor and RN. Yes, it is a bit of an expense (yet not outrageous!) but worth it for the high-quality laser equipment and the extra care received!

They have snacks and drinks as well for the kids. The nurse was fantastic and really took her time with me. She was very conscientious about explaining the procedure and any pain that would be involved was alleviated in advance. I would definitely recommend this place!

My son had blood in his urine and this is why referred to a Urologist. Dr Griffin first stated "It seems you are all over the place--this doctor wanted to do very invasive testing, without trying to see if the medicine would help first. I just wasn't willing to put my disabled son thru all the Urologic painful testing immediately- no way. I have personally been thru it and I call it the torture chamber. Second visit I was able to see Dr Griffin's PA -Steve. What a nice caring, empathic man- complete different and was so kind to my son. The medicine had actually helped a ton and the CT scan was normal. I am following up with the Steve PA, who actually understands my son has nonverbal autism. Putting son thru so much pain with invasive testing- without trying less invasive measures first. Why is a bully, mean doctor seeing patients and why is Advocate ( a huge entity) allowing Dr Griffin to even practice there. If you would have heard the things this aggressive doctor was saying to me- frightening! I started doing research and this doctor has a reputation for horrific bedside manners. Problem with Medicaid for a severely disabled person- you have no choice who you see. If you have private insurance I would not go with this doctor. There are many other Urologist who are kind and caring PLUS great overall doctors. I have never been treated like this is in my 62 yrs from any doctor regarding my disabled son. I don't trust him ever seeing my disabled son again OR performing any outpatient test on him. I am hoping I can advocate for my son to get a different referral to a new Urologist, but who knows with Medicaid. My son is 25 and needs full care and after I am gone who will advocate and protect him then. Scary!! On a side note- office staff were very kind & accommodating and so was the medical assistant and nurse.

Physician: These guys are at least honest. They told me that my case is far too complex for them to handle and they need to generate critical status referrals to Loyola and Rush University. They could handle one of my problems but not all of them and when opening the scrotum it's best to fix everything in one go. Dr Griffin was nice and his staff are doing everything possible to expedite things at outside hospital. It's a shame Advocate doesn't have Microsurgery specialists. Staff: STOLE MY FKN ULTRASOUND DISK! If someone brings a fkn imaging disk with them you return it at the end of the visit or ask if it needs to be returned. Instead I have to drive back to this office a half hour from my house one way because they were too careless to return my disk! D^}]heads
