And stumbled upon Dalzell Brothers! I had my oil changed and was pleasantly surprised when I got my bill! It was a good $40 (at least) cheaper than paying for the same service at the dealership... And that's with full synthetic oil. I did inquire about getting my car detailed - because it is disgusting from all the snow and salt this winter - but they said they would have to send it out to be detailed. I was a little disappointed to hear that but hey, you can't have everything. The service guys here are very nice and haven't tried to sell me unnecessary service... I know what my car usually needs because my dad owns his own car repair shop, but unfortunately I don't live near it anymore. I have not bought a used car from Dalzell Brothers, so I cannot speak to the quality of their sales staff, but looking around the lot they do have some pretty nice looking Volvos. They do have a waiting area with a TV and free wi-fi... Yay! But they don't have free coffee like the dealership... But if that's what it takes to keep my costs low then that's fine with me! Definitely going back for regular car maintenance.

They handed me the keys and told me to take it for a spin, just like that, no drivers-ed treatment where some yutz lectures you about the useless features, no waiting around. This gave me the confidence to really relax and imagine owning the car as I drove. I came back to the dealership with a big dopey grin on my face since the test drive went perfectly. Here's a tip: turn right as you head out the parking lot, there's a little neighborhood on the right with a cul de sac where you can (carefully) test your car's turning radius and maneuverability at suburban speeds. If you keep going straight away from the dealership, there's an industrial park where you can go a teeny bit faster. The straightaways around 1A are just fine for a quick sporty zip. After the test drive, the owners and I had a few minutes to chat about the Bolt, my driving needs and home charging situation, and the general state of the EV market. Suffice it to say, they know their stuff. This is not some casual hobby to them where they just read the brochures of the cars, there is a real enthusiasm and passion there. Theres enough to make me write this before I'm fully committed to buying a car from this establishment. There's enough to make me type this review out in my own car before I leave the place. I gave them my license to photocopy, and I was driving the Murano Platinum in about five minutes...great vehicle. I told them I'd pay the asking price if they fix a small dent and put my trailer hitch on it. They did these two things...all good, everyone happy. The car later failed inspection because the front tires were a little too bald. I thought Medway might try to get cute and put two used tires on the front so it would pass. I underestimated them...four new tires. I had already had the car about six weeks. They probably could have weasled out of it, but they put $700 worth of rubber on the car for me with a smile and a handshake. These people have good business ethics.
