First appt took about 15 mins to get my upper teeth scanned in to then send the image to the lab. That process took about 3 weeks or so. Second appt, met with Dr Jodi Parker, to fit the retainer and make any adjustments needed. She was so patient and careful as I told her some part of the retainer was poking at my gum. She also told me to go home and try it out, and sincerely meant it when she told me that I could come back to adjust anything if it doesn't feel good. I felt really comfortable with Dr Parker and her assistants. Also the receptionist was very nice. I was able to make a quick third appt after I went home and tried it out for that night. I had to go back to make some adjustments. She shaved off some pieces so that the retainer didn't press against my upper front teeth. My retainer helped my upper front teeth to be aligned much better than my old ones. The fit was perfect! Great experience! Would definitely come back even though it's a hour drive to get there. The waiting area is very interactive and they offer a place for the kids to check in and then play video games while they wait. Dr. Simi is very personable and he has an easy going personality. When I recently called because I've been in significant discomfort and unable to eat properly for about a week, I was met with a lack of empathy. I understand that missed appointments can be frustrating, but life happens, and patients deserve to be treated with basic respect and compassion--especially when they are in pain and asking for help. The response I received felt dismissive and unnecessarily rude. Because of this experience, I won't be returning, which is disappointing given how positive the clinical care has been. I hope the office takes feedback like this seriously and improves the way patients are treated at the front desk.
