Clean store, friendly staff, good food, and fast service, what more could you ask for from a pizza joint. I recommend a visit the next time you're passing by.

Good service, good people. Though Fox's may initially strike you as a chain type of place, it is locally owned & operated. Recommend it

We came across Patsy's and after reading the reviews on Yelp we were sold. When we arrived the owner met us at the back of the store in the deli section and proudly reviewed the menu with us and discussed our tastes. We wanted to measure Pittsburgh against the delis we've visited in Chicago, New York, and San Francisco so we decided on the Italian Hoagie as a familiar item. Patsy's OVER DELIVERED! The owner gave us his reasoning for each ingredient and why he uses the vendors he does while making the sandwich. It was fun to learn the history of where everything came from and why he sourced those particular items. When we arrived home and opened up the wrapping the bread and ingredients smelled just as fresh as the deli itself. The meats were fresh and each had a distinct flavor, the vegetables were crisp, and the bread was everything you hope for from an Italian deli. If we lived in the area Patsy's would be a regular stop for us! Thank you so much for your kindness!

Handwritten signs direct you to where you order and the staff is so pleasant to make you the best deli sandwich that you can dream up. Waiting for the fresh sliced meat doesn't feel like a wait at all.. as you can look around and peruse their Oakmont decor. Hanging old letterman jackets, propping up photos like the mantle is in your living room.. you can feel the hometown and the warm family environment. I ordered the Bertha's Buffalo Chicken Wrap with Hot Sauce. They loaded the wrap with plenty of chicken and the fresh pops of cucumber were such a pleasant relief from the buffalo sauce. Unwrapping my lunch and finding the classic deli pickle was all a lovely throwback. After your order is ready, they call your number up to the counter and take payment... and that's when I spotted the Deli Brownie. Wrapped in Saran Wrap and unassumingly marked $2, I knew these bad boys were most likely scratchmade today like a school bake sale. The brownie was soft and rich with chocolate goodness. The perfect compliment to a delicious quick meal. Pop in to Oakmont Deli - you'll be satisfied!

The employee's service was prompt and courteous. I ordered the Reggie Veggie wrap (4 stars), which contained spring mix, tomato, red onion, cucumbers, peppers, and dressing. The wrap got soggy, and the dressing was strong, so I recommend that less dressing be used. My husband ordered the Chrissy Club (4 stars), which contained turkey, ham, American cheese, bacon bits, spring mix, mayonnaise, and no tomato at his request. The bread got soggy, so he ate only the meat. For sides, we got the potato salad (5 stars) and the macaroni salad (4.5 stars). The total price was about $25.

As always, this is a staple for my first stop while home visiting. I picked up 2 cold brews for my bff, banana pudding for my pops and for me a cookie butter pudding (I think) for myself. To top it off I picked up a banana smores iced latte. No wonder this place is a diamond in the rough. I have never and I mean never had anything bad here. And it def put a smile on my face that the owner knew who I was and knows my love for her business. Please do yourself a favor and go here. Take a day drive and try it out. I promise you - you will not be disappointed.

This locally owned and operated spot is located in the River Town Shopping Center at 148 Allegheny River Boulevard, Freedom Square Diner is a staple for locals in Verona, and the whole area. They opened in 2013, expanding from its original Cranberry Township location, and has since carved out a niche by focusing on breakfast and lunch with a warm, community-centered approach that works. The atmosphere is inviting and relaxed and the cozy coffee counter near the entrance adds to the charm. The place is busy but still friendly and familiar, I mean I love a diner vibe ! The menu is extensive and IMO breakfast is the star of the show, with standout items like the Create Your Own Omelette, the Hungryman Breakfast off a nice spread of eggs, bacon, pancakes, and home fries, that's what Matt O. had and he's now a fan. I had the Nutella French Toast that was like a homage to Elvis with bananas, strawberries and lots of sweet goodness, it was special! I also got a side of sausage gravy and biscuit to share, and these Yinzers actually nailed this Southern favorite. For lunch, the Whale of a Fish Sandwich is a big favorite here, it's hand-breaded haddock on a hoagie roll with tartar sauce and fries. Other popular dishes include the Hot Roast Beef Sandwich with mashed potatoes and gravy, the Steak Salad with garlic-marinated filet, and the Mushroom Swiss Burger with crispy fries. They even have Homemade clam chowder, I will definitely scope that out on my next visit. The diner has wheelchair-accessible entrances, outdoor dining, takeout, and offers a veterans discount, gotta love it! Bottom line: Whether you're craving a hearty breakfast, a nostalgic lunch, or just a good cup of coffee in a welcoming setting, Freedom Square Diner delivers. Good food, great service in a welcoming environment, it's highly recommended!!! Hours: Monday through Saturday from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, and Sunday from 7:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

Their menu includes entrees such as ribs, brisket, and pulled pork as well as appetizers such as nachos, fries, and macaroni that are topped with the meats. An employee immediately greeted us and gave us menus to look at. She told us that we could sit at any table of our liking. Many tables were available inside and outside, and I appreciated that the walls were open for fresh ventilation. We ordered our appetizers, and the employee told us that ribs would not be available to order for another half hour, so we waited for them. Our loaded nachos and loaded fries were topped with similar ingredients of shredded meat, jalapeno peppers, gooey cheese, and a sauce. The ingredients were fresh, and we enjoyed the flavors. Our half rack of ribs were tender, and they had a tasty seasoning that my husband wanted a little more of.
