    Mixed kabab and tandoori samosa

Service was great. I arrived a few minutes early for my food and since it was my first time in, the owner let me try one of their dishes. When I got home to eat my takeout, it was delicious. All of the meats were well seasoned and well cooked. Sauces and the samosa were delicious as well. Definitely would return! Great local restaurant with some novel cuisine.

We were finally able to try out this restaurant. Well worth the visit and we enjoyed it. Friendly team members when walking by and great explanations when making phone order. Food for pick-up was made right on the 15-20minute estimate. I love eggplant (Botani Bademjan) appetizer was an excellent dish; nice touch of creamy dairy and freshly roasted & well-seasoned eggplant. Veggie Rice dish (Palaw) was a hit with everyone whom tried it. Hearty portion and very filling. Lamb meat cubes were generous and delicious; we had them in the gyro wrap. Tandoori Samosa with meat was tasty as well and generously sized. We did not try the pizza but I'd probably only reach for that here to give a pizza option for kids/others with the focus being Afghan take-out. Inside is clean and roomy; functional waiting area and seating but for us we'd lean toward take-out. Easy walk from Old Thunder Brewing to take back. Highly recommend this for freshly made real food. I hope this new establishment gains a local following that appreciates the food. I will be back to try more of the menu!

They definitely push you to get the combos, but that is because you get fuller picture of the meal and cuisine if you do (and honestly it isn't that much more). I tried the kababs and they were tender and packed with flavor. I've also had the Chicken Shawarma and a lamb kebab over rice and all have been equally tasty. Service is efficient considering they make things to order. There is a small seating area, but it appears most people order their items to go. If you are looking for something a little different, this is a great option.

Lots of meat. I decided to try out their brownies, chocolate chip cookie, and the chicken seekh kebab. Everything was so, so good. The portions, the flavors, everything, it was all delicious. The chicken seekh kebab was amazing. It was tender and so tasty. It had the perfect amount and balance of spice. The rice was also tasty, fluffy, well made. Nice and fresh vegetables. That white sauce went perfectly with the meat. Highly recommend. The two desserts I tried out were also very good. The brownie especially, absolutely delicious. It was so fudgey and filled with chocolate; I loved it. The chocolate chip cookie was also pretty good, and absolutely huge. Nice chocolate bits all throughout. I would especially recommend the brownie! All in all, I highly recommend this place. The meat was amazing. Such a good bowl, and so fresh. The desserts are also delicious. I'd love to come back!

The space is tiny and unassuming, and the restaurant seems to be a family run operation. The interior is much more nicely kept than you might guess based on the outside of the building. The staff were very friendly, and all of our food was well packaged. I strongly suggest taking a look at the "Persian Cuisine" section of the menu; in many cases, that section is more interesting than the Turkish grill. In terms of food, things ranged from excellent to pretty good. The hummus was good and nicely textured, but not exceptional. The kashke ve bademjan was excellent, particularly when paired with the nicely toasted flatbread it arrived with. The Mediterranean salad and Tabouli salad were both nicely done, with a nice level of lemon acidity and some shredded cheese on the side. The veggie kebap was fine, but generally flat in flavor: it really needed some of the sides and some hot sauce to fill things out. The red lentil soup was simple with a subtle spicing but ultimately deeply flavorful. The ash reshteh (noodle soup with beans and spinach) was generally good but would have benefited from toppings that would have probably been provided in a dine-in environment. All told, this was a nice little establishment with some excellent Mediterranean and Persian style cuisine. They seem to churn out some high quality food from what seems like a very small kitchen. I could imagine eating in or ordering takeout, but note that the interior space is fairly small with a limited capacity.

The menu lists many meat, seafood, and vegetarian options, and the chefs can accommodate customers on gluten-free and vegan diets. Examples of menu items are lentil soup, babaghanoush, falafel, shepherd salad, lamb chops, many kebabs, sea bass, sautés, house-made desserts such as baklava, and non-alcoholic beverages. My husband and I ate one lunch here. Indoor and covered outdoor seating was available. The employees promptly greeted and seated us, and I appreciated that they recommended specific menu items to help me choose. After a reasonable wait, the foods were brought to our table. Here are my ratings for what we ordered: Grilled Shrimp - 5 stars - Several large, juicy shrimp were on skewers and had been perfectly cooked. Sides were mixed vegetables and a mix of rice and bulgur. Chicken Shish Kebab - 4 stars - The chunks of chicken were large and juicy and had a mild seasoning. On the side was rice pilav. Turkish Tea - 4.5 stars - This black tea was a good size and was served hot. Packets of sweeteners were available. The total price was $55 plus tax and tip.

Falafel appetizer was very, very hard and chewy. Even with a serrated knife it was difficult to cut! Shepherd Salad was fresh but was mostly red and green bell peppers. Donor Kebab was over cooked. Dry. Chewy. Tzatziki sauce was fine. I ordered two extra mini-cups of tzatziki to help me finish the donor kebab. (Extra $1). Bread was very good. Not everything was fantastic, but the overall quality of the food items we ordered was well beyond expectations. We ordered takeout, and our order was ready at the expected time. The only comment I'll make on online ordering is that the first available pick-up slot was about an hour after we placed our order. Plan accordingly. In terms of the food, we were generally impressed. The falafel plate was generally good, but not fantastic. The falafel was a little doughy and lacking in crunch or herb content. The pickled beets on the platter were a very nice addition. So a mixed bag. The mujaddara was excellent, with nicely caramelized onions. The musabaha was interesting and flavorful, but it didn't seem to survive the drive home particularly well. The fatoosh salad was good, with extremely crispy pita chips. That having been said, the lettuce was starting to wilt by the time it got home. Possibly unavoidable. The hummus was excellent, and the spinach and feta pie was fantastic. So generally good food, with a relatively small number of minor misses. Overall, this is a reasonable takeout operation. There were a handful of people enjoying the bar when we picked up our order, but I'm not sure I would opt for using the space as a drinking destination.
