They rush so they give me bad quality manicure. They make mistakes where they cut too close to the finger and bleed. I don't recommend.

It's hit and miss Pros: I never had such perfect shaping done before, everything looked damn near perfect Cons: the fill i had with shellac (ring fingers were one different color from the rest) costed me fucking $45 FOR A FILL... I've never paid over $30 ($40 even at five star resorts...) the paint chipped off in a day, they were so thin one broke the day after I got them filled, I've never had shellac chip unless it was baby pink (mine are grey and purple) Let alone break unless I was hardcore cleaning my house BUT, I was DIGGIN IN MY WALLET when it broke in half. I rarely provide negative reviews, as I try to give everyone the benefit of the doubt, but today I felt so guilty for spending money on my nails, given the quality of the results. I felt it was a total waste of money and time. My 13-year-old immediately noticed how bad my thumbs looked (thick and bubbly). It took more than two hours to get a basic pedicure and shellac manicure. I bounced back and forth with three different people (one person was clearly sick and should not have been working). After numerous attempts to fix the color on my thumbs, adding more and more coats, (I think it ended up being something with a bad light that was causing a strange texture), someone finally took over and did the best she could with her tools. The man who was working tried to tell me I chose a color that is very hard to work with, but I don't think that was the case. It's just dark red. I don't take my nails too seriously, so it's not the end of the world. But the service felt very chaotic in many ways and I was disappointed that they didn't offer any sort of a discount for the hassle and bad quality. Or, at minimum, ensure that results were adequate after the length of time this took. Definitely won't go back. read more

The power went out in the middle of my mani/pedi, was getting shellac for both, they actually finished in the hallway of the mall because it has backup power! The guy that did my nails was on the phone the whole entire time he did my nails, I get shellac and I have never had so much nail polish around nails and on my skin when my manicure was done. They didn't offer to clean it up either! The entire staff wasn't the friendliest! my friend didn't even have time for her pedicure to dry before they were putting on her sandals and basically shoving us out of the empty salon! Today I had some extra time before picking my kids up from the bus stop so I stopped in to get a shellac manicure. I am so happy I did! They have a huge selection of nail colors and topcoats. This place was my go to place whenever I'm in the Clackamas area. Great color selection and they usually do a good job but the last two times were uncomfortable and terrible experiences. My nails are naturally long, many techs who aren't familiar automatically think they're acrylic nails. I don't mind that they do, but when they start arguing with me and saying they're FAKE when they're not, thats when it starts to get uncomfortable, this was the case about a month ago at Foxy's. TODAY 11/30/2018 I returned and I get paired up with the same nail tech. She comes by, takes one look at my nails and says in Vietnamese they're fake nails and she can't do them. Mind you, I am Vietnamese and can understand everything they're saying. I tell her, I had this discussion with her before, my nails aren't fake they're real and they have dip. She then replies in Viet she doesn't do dip nails and leave. So I tell the nail tech next to me, I wanted them to be cut short and get shellec since one of my nails broke and he tries to explain that to the other tech, who STILL refuses to do my nail and takes another client. The nice gentleman next to me, finish his client and comes over and cuts my nail down for me and starts my soaking process. He then tells people that my nails are soaking and someone come over to do them in a minute, then he pulls another client They take 5-6 clients that came after me, some that even were there for full sets, my nails have been soaking in an acetone BOWL for 30 minutes before someone decides to come help me. I kindly explained that I just wanted my polished removed and I wanted to go. She drilled off the rest of my polished, I paid a 5 dollar fee and left. 1. Please be mindful in what you say, people can understand Vietnamese even if they don't look like they do. I understand everything that I decided to leave out for the review. 2. Get nail techs that will listen to the customer and are capable of doing nails. All I asked was to have my nails cut down short and painted and that was too much to ask for? I get the shop gets busy and people work long hours without break, but this was unacceptable and terrible service and I will not be returning or recommend anyone to come to this place ever again. read more

I had clear gel polish as a top coat to add shine and it was so thick when the manicurist applied it to my nails that it ran and stuck to my cuticles and around my nail bed. Looked hateful. This was my first time at Foxy Nails. Since I don't have a regular place to go I like to check out different shops in my neighborhood. I dropped in for a pedicure and was greeted with a smile and some interest in the type of nail service I wanted. After a couple of questions I was told the cost and was seated almost immediately, all good so far.... I found the technician to be very cold and curt. She started by resting my legs across the edge of the wash basin, which was very uncomfortable and then expected me to leave them there for the duration of the pedicure. I find most technicians will work with me and we can usually find a mutually acceptable position for feet and toes. It was becoming uncomfortable so I told her I needed to take a break, so I did. She appeared agitated and didn't seem to understand my plea about the discomfort so she redirect by foot to her chosen resting place by yanking and moving them, not a way I expect to be treated when I am paying for a service that I consider "pampering" myself. At some point she told me I would pay $35 but gave no explanation for what? My feeling was I was being charged a penalty for being difficult. She refused to make eye contact and would not engage in any type of conversation. As far as the service, the pedicure was decent, but overall I would say it was not a pleasant experience for either one of us. I Guess I will continue searching...... read more

Doors were open before they actually opened as a friend and I were walking by. They said they could accommodate when they couldn't and then tried to make ME feel like I was the one being impatient after 30 + minutes of waiting and only one worker there. How about next time tell people you can't. Or don't open your doors until you're actually open. Went here on Friday 11/10 and asked for a shellac removal and then shellac mani with a matte top coat. The lady started off by cutting my nails with the clippers(before even removing the shellac), then went straight to using the dremel tool. Multiple times I had jumped because my fingers were getting so hot. After nearly 45 minutes of removing my shellac(which when I came in was already peeling so it shouldn't have taken even that long), she went straight into buffing and then painting. Didn't even round out the corners on my nails, and when I asked her too, her response was "I've been doing nails for over 40 years, this is how I do it." So then I just kept my mouth shut, at that point I just wanted to get out of the chair. As she was painting my nails the bottle started to leak and she got it all over her hands and then mine. After finally painting all the nails it was time to get to the top coat. She seemed confused when I said matte top coat and proceeded to use just a normal matte nail polish top coat. Not shellac. Then asked me to put my nails under the light one last time. When it came time to check out, she looked right over my shoulder the entire time to see what tip I was leaving. I'm frustrated because I paid $30+ to have the matte top coat fade away within nearly just a few days? Not worth the trip! read more

The lady spent the entire time complaining about other customers, then she told me that I should have gotten there earlier, even though I waited a whole hour before anyone serviced me. Then that was followed by her scolding me for the nail polish that I picked out because she said the bottle was almost empty and the brush was clumpy. She said I should check the bottle before picking out my polish -- Um, hello... You guys work here & use these things on a daily basis. Don't you think you should be checking them & throwing them away when they're getting old? Anyway, then she spends the rest of the time complaining that the polish will take forever to dry because there's glitter in it, and she just wants to leave -- Mind you, before she even started on my nails I said I would be more than happy to choose another color if this one was going to be a problem, but she said there was "no time." I had asked for the regular 15$, then by the end I had shallack which was 30$ the nail job was bad Quality, uneven, bumpy, and had missed obvious spots, while she filled my nails, they were bleeding. They didn't know I spoke vietnamese, I didn't let them know. Around the room I heard lots of cuss words, and one of the lady's was being rude to her her workmate. And I saw a pregnant woman working. I brought my mother here on Mother's Day, we both got pedicures. We did not have an appointment, they weren't terribly busy but they definitely had a few customers when we came in, we were quickly seated (less than 10 minutes) and we got started on our pedicures. The experience was great, I definitely felt like we got our moneys worth, I didn't feel rushed at all, it was very relaxing. The equipment there was nice, comfortable and very clean, also the ladies doing our pedicures were very professional and clean! I really thought the Pedicure Chairs were top notch, the colors change inside the water basin, it looks really cool! I went in on Monday to get my regular fill, I hear so many great things about this place so I gave In and tried it out. I was ignored for about 15 minutes and then was told to sit in a chair. Everything was good after that and then as my nail lady started doing my nails the shellac started peeling so she made me pick another color. I did and later that day they started peeling. I went back the next day and she fixed them for me for free. But once again they're peeling and already broke two of them. I have been going to Foxy for about six years, most of that time with Nina as my nail tech. She is wonderful and pays attention to detail. I initially chose Foxy because I lived nearby, but I moved to Vancouver two years ago -- and I still go to Foxy. Yes, I drive an hour round-trip twice a month to get my nails done because Foxy treats me that well. I went into this place to get my acrylics filled. I originally had regular acrylic color but she proceeded to go over with pink. They grinded my nails down to my skin. And the lady doing my nails was on her phone the entire time, texting and making appointments for her sons eye doctor, and calling her husband. I came in to this place a few weeks ago, because I needed my fiberglass nails removed and a basic shellac polish on my real nails afterwards to hide how awful they looked. 1) the lady I was with did NOT even soak my nails in acetone before removing them. she chopped the ends off (not gently) and shoved a fake nail under to lift my fiberglass ones off. this was both painful and the worst way to remove nails. especially fiberglass. 2) because she did this, my real nails were cracked and therefore crooked 3) this resulted in a terrible base for shellac polish 4) and yes, they charged $40 dollars for it. haha, awful. I've been to only two terrible salons and this was one of them. read more
