The person who did my nails had a nasty attitude! I called about them being available for pedicures and they said yes come on in. When we arrived they said we did not mention for two people and they were visibly annoyed. I watched them mess up my partner's nails and blame them for moving when they did not move. I am truly disappointed in Amore nails right now. I normally do a full set but this time I decided to stick with my natural nail, trying to let them grow, and go for a regular manicure. I mentioned several times I needed my cuticles cleaned up. They get destroyed by the cold weather and simply fall apart. The tech acknowledged me but didn't complete the task. As you can see in photos, which are embarrassing for me to share, they NEEDED it. The other thing you'll notice is how the tech did not clean up around my nail bed-most of my nail beds are stained purple. Which I can only assume is due to not cleaning up my cuticles like I requested. I usually have a great experience here!!!! Really bummed. read more

I thought it would be convenient to come here as it's literally 2 blocks from my house and per some great reviews. I rec'd a full set with a beige color. Yikes, instead of starting w/ a white polish so the color don't thin out, I rec'd at least 4 layers. It's lumpy and thick. I usually feel good when my nails are done but unfortunately this time I can't wait to remove it There was a lot of tension during my appointment, as she was bothered by everything and everyone. It might just be a bad day for my tech lady but for a business, you just gotta sometimes hold it in so your clients don't feel awkward and rushed since she was annoyed. I went in for a deluxe pedicure and for manicure. Poor! I didn't get a lotion massage, she didn't let me pick my packet that goes in the water like normal, I got maybe five minute massage with oil, I got hot stone, and shellac. I wanted a manicure all she did was my cuticles. No massage nothing else on my hands. Happy Mother's Day to me. I've brought in three others to this business and I got a shitty job and then I checked my bank and they charged me $95. Wow. The appointment felt rushed and very careless by not pushing back cuticles for the acrylics and cutting my pinky, which is the deepest cut a salon has ever given me. Other then that, I ended up liking my nails, but don't think this experience was worth it. DO NOT EVER GO TO THIS PLACE!!!!!! We made reservations for 4 people . We drove all the way in from Washington for these reservations. My husband and I were early. I had told the owner when I made the reservations that I needed someone very experienced because of ingrown toe nails hang nails etc... My daughter and her friend were about 3 minutes late. The owner was a complete jerk and was telling them they lost their reservation. Even though we kept saying they were coming. They sat in the chair anyway even though he was being a jerk. He put me with a very inexperienced person who did not know how to do nails at all!!!!!!!! The owner had all the girls rushing thru their appts because they were pressed for time. They did not ask you what you wanted. They just gave you the basics He was not following CDC guidelines. He had people in every chair not every other chair. People were not wearing masks. Very unprofessional, I recommend that you go to others as this is a classic bait and switch operation here. I'm going to show the post to the manager before posting this and see if this can be solved or not. If they are reasonable I will not post, but if they continue and do not make a concession I will post for all to see that this is their standard patterns and practice. I showed them a simple photo of dark brown and light brown nails with 2 small hearts. And the woman got immediately mad at having to make the hearts and got these crappy holographic hearts and painted the nail polish on top of them! You could CLEARLY see the holo heart underneath the nail polish and when I expressed that this was not what I meant she got mad at me and said I was "too picky" and "picked the wrong colors" like what? Went to Amore Nails last week for my daughter to get a full set. They were very professional, the atmosphere was very relaxing and above all they did a wonderful job on my daughters nails. Today I decided to go back and have a fill and shellac on my nails. Again it was a wonderful experience and they did a wonderful job matching the color to my soon to be daughter in laws wedding colors. The tech even added an extra coat of shellac to make sure that the color covered my colored acrylic underneath. Thank you so much for making our nails look awesome. My daughter and I have gone to Amore Nails quite a few times over the last few years and were very pleased with the service, for the most part. At times, they were not able to get us in and suggested we go to their other salon, Vogue Nails. We do not plan on returning to Amore or Vogue Nail Salon because we are tired of the way they handle their practice when it comes to paying. They do accept credit cards, but discourage you by asking you to pay in cash, which I ignore since I don't pay cash for very much these days. Then if I try writing a check, they want it made out to a person, not Amore or Vogue Nails.........do they think the public doesn't know why they want cash or checks made out to a person instead of a company? Considering how much money they are bringing in with a minimum of about $40 a pedi, they need to pay their taxes just like any other person/business. Its not just a one-time thing, its their standard practice to bully their customers into paying with cash only. Last week, they were telling their customers that their WIFI was down and they could only accept cash......we witnessed many patrons having to scramble for the cash (especially if it were a couple, its costly) including an older woman. They have an ATM, which one has to pay a fee to use, but its all about them wanting ONLY CASH. Now they are opening another salon at the new Crossroads Center on 172nd, not to mention one in the Safeway Center on Sunnyside. We are disappointed that Happy Valley allows a monopoly of sorts for them to have businesses under different names within such a short distance from each other, allowing little competition for Happy Valley residents. The staff do a good job, but the owners business practices are a complete turn-off and we will definitely go elsewhere to a business that does not badger their customers for cash. read more

I came in a few times and got the women they are amazing so great and go into detail however the last time I came in I got the male and he did terrible my index finger was so curved and my thumbs were different lengths along with some of the shapes being visibly off, again I came in today and they sat me with him now I didn't want to say anything because I didn't want to be judged by others assuming I didn't want him to do my nails because he is a male but regretted it immediately when he made the same mistakes again my thumbs were different sizes and my index finger again was so curved so I said something and he said my bone was curved, I've had x-rays done on my hands I think I would know if it's curved, so I asked him to make it straight with my finger and he did however I didn't notice that a few of my nails are different lengths and odd shapes ( I asked for oval) till I walked out. And if you had customers show up depending on that price then honor that price for them, it's called customer service. I came in again and saw this girl who's station was at the very end, WORST experience in my life. I told myself I need to stick up for myself once in while (especially if I'm paying $60) I told her from the beginning I would like my nails the same shape as the picture and as long coffin. She said she could do that. She gave me medium almond. Initial cutting I told her that I wanted them longer, then she cut without hesitation and started shaping them into uneven almonds.
