Perhaps their facials are great but this review is to address their dysport injections (like…read moreBotox). I spent $900 which I was surprised because where I used to go was $1600 (they went out of business old place I went too). I got the injections in the later part of October early November. I called really upset because my one eyebrow was lower than my other. I get the injections on my forehead so I stop scrunching in between my eyebrows around my eyes and around my mouth. They offered for me to come back in a few weeks. Which is new for me also. But they didn't work. They didn't make any difference and so I can't go back if you didn't do it right the first time. I'm now on the hunt for an establishment that will listen and get my normal results. The girls are nice there but I'm paying for a product and for a benefit. I did give them a good review on their website because I was hoping that the product will eventually work. I can't delete that good review. I was really hopeful. So it was a waste of money, energy and time. I gave them a maybe because they might have excellent services but I go somewhere else for my facials.

Beautiful place, lovely humans, knowledgeable, and experienced aesthetician…read more Very relaxing experience.

Headline: Unprofessional billing, broken written agreements, and predatory math…read more I wanted to love Pure Skin Care, but their customer service and billing ethics have left a terrible taste in my mouth. I purchased a series of laser treatments, contracting for a total of $1,750 and making a half payment of $875. During my first session, the settings had to be dialed down significantly due to a medication I was on (Rinvoq). Because of this incomplete treatment, my aesthetician explicitly promised me a fourth session to make up for it and confirmed this amendment to our agreement in writing via text. Due to a permanent change in my travel circumstances, I am no longer able to commute from San Diego to Portland to finish the package. When I asked for a refund for the unused portion, management completely went back on their word. Per our written agreement for a 4-session package, the per-session rate is $437.50. Having completed only one session, I utilized $437.50 of my $875 payment and am legally owed a cash refund of $437.50. Instead, management chose to play dumb, completely ignored their own written text messages, and used a 3-session calculation to withhold my funds and offer a mere $292 in product credit, store credit, or credit transferable to a friend. I even laid out the exact math for management via email, showing how they were manipulating the numbers to keep my money, and they still refused to honor it. It is incredibly disappointing that a business will not stand by what its own staff puts in writing. Because they refuse to act ethically, I have officially filed a formal complaint with the Oregon Department of Justice Consumer Protection Division. Buyer beware--they will not honor their written agreements.

I felt so pampered and relaxed by the time I was done. The place is a cute remodeled home in a commercial district and everything was very professional. This review is based on a facial service I had with Haven Day Spa on NYE. I can't seem to forget…read morethe details, so consider this my "therapy". I had a $100 certificate as a gift from a March birthday. I stated to the woman who answered the phone that I had this certificate, made my reservation, and arrived on time. I have never had a facial before, so not knowing what to expect, I requested the Express Facial (a $65 service value). My appointment started late, because the receptionist (?) was busy upselling lotions to another client and allowed her to use the remainder of the gift certificate she tendered for payment. More on this later. One of the reasons I wanted to try a facial is because I have a few very large and noticeable blackheads on my face that I would love to have extracted. Do they perform this service? According to their website, absolutely. The person giving me a facial told me it wasn't necessary. Even after looking through a magnifier. Okaayy. Fast forward to the time for payment. I surrendered my gift certificate upon checking in for my appointment. Remember: GC = $100, service = $65. I paid the clinician a cash tip. When I went to the counter to check out for services rendered, the receptionist said "that will be it then!" I was a little surprised, so I took the bait of the upsell scheme, a $30 product, hoping she would do the right thing and use the remainder of the GC amount. Instead she asked for further payment. I left feeling as though this business must need the money more than I did, so it felt fine. As I have sat with it for a month and a half, it no longer feels that way. Should I have said something then? Absolutely, yes I should have. I didn't and I own it. $35 is not going to make or break me. The reason for this review? To put my experience out there in hopes it gets read and doesn't happen to any one else....especially if $35 is a vital part of a budget. The two stars are the clinician. I am still not sure what to expect with a facial.
