They carefully cut through the concrete in front of the building, dug a massive hole down to the basement floor level, and managed to avoid damaging my front garden or any utility lines (gas, electric, and water). I hired Islam/FR Construction company approx a month and half ago to waterproof my deck (below the deck was a bedroom), patch the sheet rock area that was removed due to mold, and work on the back of my house to properly cover the cinder block wall which was never covered when they extended the house. I purchased this house last year and the previous owners didn't tell me of the waterproof issues that they suffered as a result of poor work! We live in a house built in the late 1890s, and after internal renovations we realized a bounce in the floor that was alarming and causing cracking in various tiled floors. We hired Shairful and his team to do the structural work needed to shore up the floor. Starting in the cellar, they added two additional support beams running perpendicular to the existing ones while also adding support columns. On the ground floor, they added a large exposed beam to support the floor above. From cutting into the concrete floor in the cellar to framing out the exposed beam on the ground floor, Shaiful and his team's work was quick, clean, and professional. They showed up on time and cleaned up at the end of each day. Communication was open and clear. He was responsive and attentive to our needs. Called FR Contracting after have water leakage in my home. Once I contacted Shaiful, he was very communicative and helpful throughout the process. By the eye test, he was able to determine what work needed to be done such as brick cleaning, scraping, pointing, and replacement. Midway through the job, Shaiful's team member Tino advised that the roof was also crack and needed to be fixed or else the brick work would be pointless. They acted quick before a rainstorm and were able to replaced the shingles on my roof in less than a day. The price was very reasonable for the quality of work. I am satisfied with the work and would definitely use FR Contracting for any future brick or roof job, and would definitely reccomend to anyone reading this. Of course you never worked with me because you sent someone for an astronomical quote that they wouldn't even bother to put in writing. I recall speaking with Mr. Mohammed Islam more than once. We did get our wires crossed at one point, but got it together and then you sent someone to my home who gave me an astronomical cost for what I wanted. He represented your firm. We haggled a little and I asked him to put everything he was willing to do in writing as an "estimate." It is imperative that written estimates be given.
