After months of debating driving an hour for donuts (my top pregnancy craving) we finally tried fractured prune. It was delicious! The storefront and store itself isn't much but the donuts are deliciously fresh and the options are endless. It reminded me of a funnel cake. But the best part was the fantastic customer service. One employee stuck our sons freshly baked donut in the fridge since it was too hot for him (he's almost 2) and even gave him a cookie while he waited. Well definitely be back. Astonishingly good donuts!!!!!! While headed to the area for a work trip, but running a bit ahead of schedule, co-workers wanted to stop for donuts and were searching for options-- one doing the googling mentioned the Fracture Prune, and another who'd been to one before immediately began freaking out and insisted that's where we were going-- I now understand why! Combo #1, $4 for two donuts and coffee. I ordered the salted caramel and rocky shores donuts (though there was no end to options on the menu that sounded amazing!), and sipped my coffee while my warm donuts were topped to order. Going to have to preface this review that I am not huge into sweets but these donuts hit the spot. The donuts were fresh, light and mouth-watering. Cooked to order with plenty of toppings to pick from. Prices are definitely reasonable for what you are getting. The reason for the 3 stars and not the 4th was the same complaint that some other reviewers had mentioned. I'm all about the greasy spoons on the corner with some good food but there really isn't much to this operation. We were one of the first few customers in the door and the place looked like it hadn't been cleaned from the night before. The least you can do is take a broom out. With that being said I hope maybe it was just this location because I would like try them out again, maybe down in Ocean City. So forget about Double Ds and try some real donuts out. read more

Yummy donuts. Shop could use quite a bit of TLC. My husband has been back 4 times since our first visit, so obviously the food is more important than ambiance but, I would probably take my little one as a Mommy daughter date if it was a cuter shop for hanging out in. read more

I love that they give you the option to customize a doughnut, here. I have never been forced to try the same old boring flavor twice. I'm not a huge fan of overly-sweet things and I honestly don't think that these are. The glazes are tasty without being sickeningly sweet and the doughnuts are heavy enough to satisfy but not so heavy that they leave you feeling too full or sick. I do wish that they were open a little later...but other than that, all's good. read more

Went there this morning to pick up a dozen for the first time and I must say that was amazing!!

We love Fractured Prune, great donuts, fresh and warm. Great service, great selections and you can make your own flavors.

I'm not a big fan of donuts, but fractured prune has good ones for sure. I originally found FP in Ocean City a few years ago. I was pleased to find out that there's one in Frederick too. The donuts are just as good at this location, but the "feel" is definitely not there. It's situated on the end unit of a smaller shopping mall, and the lease space itself feels kind of dirty (I would at least like to point out that it seems FP does clean and keep things sanitary, but the actual space needs a facelift), and not well layed out at all. The space is pretty awkward which isn't a big deal when you're just picking up some donuts but it's a little uncomfortable if it's crowded and you're trying to stand and wait for your order, but there's nowhere good to do so. No complaints on the donuts, but either a different location more suited to what they're doing, or a revamp of the current would certainly help things in my book! read more

This place has amazing donuts for a very moderate if not cheap price. They seemed to be under construction but I wouldn't say it was filthy like some of the others. If you like donuts you'll love the options here and if you dont like donuts chances are you'll find something here. read more

The staff is always friendly, the combinations are amazing, and I love getting hot, fresh donuts! I highly recommend the OC Sand, Banana Pudding, and the Lemonade. Wish I could eat there every morning! And now that I live in Vegas, it is the one place that I miss most where food is concerned. Best donuts I've ever had. They come warm and are like a delicious cross between a cake and a donut. Lots of flavors. The store itself is a simple locale, the service is quick. They have mostly friendly employees, one (the owner, I think) is a bit more aloof and that may seem unfriendly to some customers, but I'm just there to get my donuts. read more

Love the doughnuts...but don't really care too much for the owner. Went there few days ago, and I don't know what time they close...I was guessing 4? And it was 3 so When I pulled up I saw the open sign was still ON and I go to open the door and its UNLOCKED, well I'm quickly "greeted" by this man that rudely says " hey...where closed!!!" In shock I raise my eyebrows and turn around like okay whatever. Well maby next time if your CLOSED you should turn OFF your sign and LOCK your door!! I wanted to get a box of 20 to take to a family birthday party but never mind. I've only been to the FP once before and it was in OC. I guess I'll just Waite till next year and go back to that location on the boardwalk, or I'll just b that asshole that's in the parking lot standing at the door waiting for them to open at 5 or whenever it is they open....haven't made up my mind yet. read more

Extremely disappointed. I've been an OC native and have frequented fractured prune at several of their Ocean City locations and have been thrilled with my purchases, nice, round, big fluffy donuts! But at the Frederick location, I found in my fractured prune box limp, small, unappetizing to the eye, donuts. While the taste was kind of there --- the presentation was just appalling. Taste was OKAY. But just wasn't comparable to the Ocean City locations. Service was OKAY too. I wish also, the store itself was in better shape. It felt, for lack of a better term a run down shop. Fractured Prune is a great store and great idea, this store just didn't stand out. This store has such potential and could give good taste of the shore! I want it to stick around and I like my fresh guilty pleasure being in my now residenc. read more

I seriously don't know what is so spectacular about these donuts. For starters the place is filthy. You don't have to look far to find dust and grime everywhere. The staff seem absolutely miserable to work there. While waiting in line, you want to go bonkers over the constant chime of the microwave or alarm that the donuts are done. There are a total of three small tables to sit down. Not that you would want to eat there any way with the dirt and noise. You have no idea what the donuts are as far as flavor, when you get them in the box. Completely overrated because of how sweet, soggy and messy they are. read more

Their good...BUT I've been here 6 times in 3 yrs...they were only open ONCE!! I feel that they come and go as they please.

This location was filthy. I saw a girl sweep the floor, but it looked like she was just moving dirt from one place to another. They need better management. read more

These Donuts are SOOO Delish! my coworker brought them in for us. I'm usually not a fan of fancy looking donuts but i though why NOT just try. I had the glaze donut with oreo cookie crumbs. MAAAAN i tell you this donut was everything you could want in a donut plus more. they were warm, soft, and oh so good. As soon as he put the box down in the breakroom I went to grab another. I tried the glazed donut with mini chocolate chips. This one was the icing on the cake. Chocolate chips were very milky smooth chocolate, the donut was soft and moist. I've never had such fresh, delicious, mouth watering donuts such as these. PLEASE TRY THEM! Let's make this company go VIRAL. These donuts would make the world a better place. read more
