I LOVE the HK style wrapped roses here. Once upon a time (a long long time ago, LOL), I got my prom corsage here and true to SGV style, it was a massive, sparkly, glitter-covered giant that was almost too big for my wrist but very pretty. I recently received flowers from them for my undergrad graduation. Their HK style bouquets are even more gorgeous. Their bouquets are beautifully decorated and only a half dozen roses look MASSIVE. I'm normally not that big of a fan of flowers because they wilt easily, but the glitter on these glitter-covered roses preserve the look of the roses. They still looked like new a month after I received them and if my mom hadn't tossed them, I'm sure they would have looked just as good for at least another month. They also sell leis during graduation season and are very accommodating. Since my university's colors are cardinal and gold, my parents requested the red and yellow orchids and they didn't charge more than the regular double-layered purple leis. I had people stop me on my graduation day asking where I got my lei because it was that eye-catching and were actually $5 cheaper than the leis vendors were selling around campus that didn't look half as nice. Their flowers are definitely not cheap, but they are worth the money. TIP: If you ever need to pick up the flowers early in the morning before their store opens, you can arrange to pick them up next door at the wedding cake place. This was very useful for my parents when they needed to pick up my flowers at 8 AM to attend my graduation ceremony. read more

Hello my Yelpies, This is a super late review, but I just have to mention how great this place is. I looked everywhere for a decent Hong Kong Style flower for Mother's Day and this please definitely caught my eyes with their flower arrangement. I went to many many place to get a quote on the type of flowers and arrangement I want but every place i go to come out at least $200. I finally am lucky enough to found this place, they were so nice towards me, showing me what kind of style and color mix well together and also what would be the most decent price with what I want. I actually walk in wanting a bouquet for Mother's Day, but they suggested to me that most mothers doesn't really like the bouquet style and what would be best is if I get it with a vase which can also look like a bouquet. I was a little iffy about it but decided to trust them. YOU WON'T BELIEVE HOW BEAUTIFUL IT TURNS OUT. My son was charged $60.36 for one corsage and one boutonniere. I tried to copy and paste the charge onto this site, but unfortunately I was unable to do so. I am writing this review to WARN parents and teenagers about this place. They charge $35 for a corsage with 3 roses and a boutonniere with 1 rose (with the glitter). If you ask for a 4th rose, the corsage will cost you an additional $20. If you ask for a longer ribbon, it will cost you an additional $10. This time I am not going to refer you to another company that also does Hong Kong Style Corsages and boutonnieres so that yelpers know this is a legitimate review. When I previously ordered corsages and boutonnieres from Fragrant Flowers they did NOT charge me as much as they charged my son. I feel as though Fragrant Flowers took advantage of a teenager that did not know the price for a corsage and boutonniere. Alice (or Aunty Alice as I call her) really delivered and gave us absolutely floral pieces and bouquets and all etc etc! Everything that she did for our wedding was absolutely tasteful and gorgeous. Perfectly embellished with small decorations here and then, and all put together so well! My hubby and I have been married for only a few weeks now, but we started the process with Alice quite a few months ago. We walked in to chat for a little bit and just really liked how personable she is. She really listens to what you are saying and gives her expertise on things that we didn't have a clue about. She really knows what she's doing! She recommended certain flowers that would hold up for the entire day and would tell us straight out if a particular flower was too flimsy or expensive. We were definitely on a budget and she helped us keep our prices low. In fact, I think she gave us way more than what we paid for! The best best part was that Alice mixed up the colors so we had some that were a solid violet, some white with violet dots all over, some with white and violet, all different kinds. Alice placed them together into a nice pot and finished it off with a big violet bow. People were definitely fighting over these. Having Fragrant Flowers for our florist made this part of the wedding process extremely easy. We simply told Alice what we wanted and let her do whatever she thought was best. I have bought and received flowers from this floral shop and have been impressed both times. BEAUTIFUL arrangements, whether it's natural flowers or Hong Kong style roses. The first time I came here, it was a last minute occasion for a friend. All the other flower shops were closed and this was the only one that was open. I called in and made a request for a vase arrangement of pink and white flowers. I asked specifically for lilies, gerber daisies, baby breaths, and white roses.I was told to pick it up within 15 minutes. When I got there, I wasn't impressed with the initial results. I wanted it to be fuller which costed a bit more but I didn't mind. In the end, they made a gorgeous arrangement and even added ribbon around the vase for me. The flowers were in full bloom and healthy. Some ferns were added which was a nice touch of green. It was such a plus that they included a box to hold the vase in since I didn't have anyone with me to help carry it. For my birthday bouquet, I was given 1/2 a dozen of lavender roses by my boyfriend. He told me he was given a choice of three different displays of purple to pick from ranging from dark, medium, or light. He chose the medium purple and it came out gorgeous. Every white rose was generously glittered and spray painted purple. Then each were individually wrapped in white tulle and surrounded by a good amount of baby's breaths. The baby's breaths were also glittered. Two butterfly decorations were whimsically placed inbetween the bunches of baby breaths. The entire bouquet was then wrapped skillfully and symmetrically with a mix of clear and purple cellophane wrap. Finally, a giant bow held the entire arrangement together. They are definitely not stingy with their supplies either. The bow was made up of both tulle and a fat ribbon, which made it so impressive and full-looking. I'm usually not that impressed by the wrapping of other flower shops but this one blew me away. It was so so so gorgeous and smelled so wonderful :) I am definitely planning to save this bouquet!! The only down side my boyfriend mentioned is that the woman forgot his order. He came in at 2 and then came back at 6 and she admitted that she actually forgot about him. He had to wait around ~20 minutes for her to make it but it didn't really matter. The results were amazing!!! I called around 10am from Vegas the day after Mother's Day (I know, I know.. horrible daughter for not having it sent the day of....but I had work!) to see if I would be able to pick up the flowers the same day if I placed an order over the phone. The lady that answered the phone went to double-check and told me they would be able to have it done in about 2 hours. I told the lady over the phone that I would be driving from Vegas-MPK in about 4 hours so she could take her time. It's wonderful to know how accommodating they are to last-minute orders!! The ordering process was smooth. I told her the occasion it was for, how many roses and lilies I wanted, the style I wanted (either flat or round), and the payment. 3.5 hours later, I arrive at Fragrant Flowers. It's easy to miss from the street, so just park as soon as you see the bakery on the street corner. I arrived and they were just putting the bow on my bouquet. Keep in mind Vegas does not have Hong Kong Style flowers. When I saw them bring out the bouquet, I had to contain my happiness! It was absolutely gorgeous and huge!!I was thinking maybe they would skimp on quality by making an arrangement in such short notice, but every single detail of the arrangement was wonderful. Half a dozen roses were individually wrapped in cellophane with a very generous amount of baby's breath. They even included 3 strategically-placed butterflies in the bouquet and an extra lily bud free of charge!!!! Quick, simple, and helpful. I ordered a HK Style Bouquet (half dozen) over the phone a few days in advance in Baby Blue and Pink. When I picked them up, it was an easy process. The store itself is quite small and located in a corner of a plaza. There's not much inside it, since it's mostly for pick-up and deliveries. The flowers themselves are beautiful and they are completely covered in glitter so that they almost look fake. It's not just the tip of the flowers that have glitter on it...it's the whole thing. The wrapping was colorful and complemented the flowers well. Since it was a bouquet, everything was staggered so it shows up better in photographs. Otherwise, they would have arranged the flowers in a vase. A half dozen is quite a large already...I can only imagine what a full dozen will look like. It cost about $60 (tax included) for a half dozen, so it's a bit on the expensive side, but it's definitely worth it for the size and grandeur of the bouquet. read more

I was looking specifically for HK style roses and there were a handful of florists to pick from. After reading reviews on a few places I decided to give this place a shot. Alice was very kind and friendly; the roses and the arrangement she put together were amazing. I haven't purchased HK style roses too many times before but I am aware of a couple minor things to look for that distinguish a great arrangement vs a mediocre one. Scotch tape is usually used frequently to hold the wrapping paper in many areas - a good arrangement will never leave scotch tape in plain sight. The last time I picked up HK style roses from another florist, I saw tape on a few very easily viewable places and there were some damp water spots on the wrapping paper (just didn't look perfect). I would recommend this place to others. Alice is very friendly and the quality of the final product is amazing. The prices aren't the cheapest in the area but it is well worth it. read more
