Great coffee and super friendly staff. Great vibes /decor. Great food (fluffy scrambled eggs). Highly recommended. I do appreciate their no laptop policies on the weekends so that you can actually hang out with a friend or read a book if you want to hang out there. This is last comment is not about the restaurant but more about folks who have pets who bring them in and sit with their dogs in a cramped cafe when the sign out front says "NO PETS". My bf and I stopped by Frame Coffee for a late breakfast as we happened to be on UES. We got the egg and cheese croffle sandwich, sesame croffle (not pictured), Americano, and matcha latte. The eggs were very fluffy and not oily at all. I didn't like the texture of the croffle that much. The drinks were solid. The matcha latte was smooth with a slight earthy taste. The cafe is very spacious compared to other coffee shops in the city, so it wasn't too hard to find a table despite it being fairly busy. There is also a mini Photo Booth where you can get a B&W photo printouts which is a cute touch! read more

The space is small, so it felt especially claustrophobic near the door where there is also a camera that prints black and white photos! They have an extensive drink menu as well as lots of food options. I had a matcha latte that was just whatever. My friend's cold brew coffee was much better. I would stick to the coffee here. Great coffee! I really enjoyed my cortado and felt it was well worth the roughly $5. The shop is well decorated with an elegant atmosphere. I appreciated the staff's choice of a calm jazz playlist, which went a long way in making the space feel atmospheric and cozy. Baristas are very friendly and wait time was short. The shop is clearly popular, as seats fill up quickly, but there are still a large number of tables for the space. There's a no laptop policy on weekends, though when I visited on Sunday morning it wasn't being enforced, which was mildly frustrating. There were only three people were behind the counter, though, and they had a steady stream of customers to help- I'm sure they can't catch everything. Delicious croffle! The chai was tasty- well spiced. I'm not the biggest fan of chai but this was solid. Not too sweet and well balanced flavors. I loved the croffle! I would come here for the croffle alone! Delicious. A slightly crisp outside and soft interior. Buttery and delicious! Not too sweet either! Perfectly acceptable as a breakfast food. Would highly recommend! Seating was a bit hard to find but me and my sister were able to snag a table after waiting a little bit for our drink. We were right by the door and it was a bit drafty. Big prices, little seats! This is a very interesting place. The back seating area was blocked off and the chairs and tables that were available were very tiny (it felt as though I was at the kid's table during Thanksgiving) and is not appropriate for individuals with disabilities. Such a cute cafe located in the Upper West Side! I popped in after taking a walk in Central Park and was really pleasantly surprised. The exposed brick walls, wooden decor, and cameras make the space feel really inviting and cozy. The front area of the cafe is also very well-lit with natural light. Tried out their Thai style coffee (Es Yen) which was a double espresso with condensed milk. A little on the sweet side with the condensed milk but a pretty unique coffee! It was definitely on the pricier side though, after tip and tax it was over $7 for a coffee. My friend and I got a butterscotch latte with oat milk and the maple latte with oat milk. Both were pretty decent! You could taste the flavor in both but the espresso was definitely lacking. If you're not a sweet coffee drinker, I would avoid them. The price for each drink was $5.75 with a $0.90 milk substitution. Considering this is the UWS, the price isn't bad either. The inside has a few tables near the door but otherwise it's pretty narrow inside so I wouldn't recommend hanging out here. Overall, pretty good speciality lattes! Came by for a quick caffeine fix after a long day. You pay at the counter but the seating area was extremely limited as the back half was blocked off for a different restaurant seating. The sign said that they do that on the weekends only. And the few tables they had in the front were all occupied. The baristas were super nice and efficient. Unfortunate first experience. They are not equipped to handle the morning rush or the rush of people wanting to welcome them in the neighborhood. From getting in line to getting my latte it took 30 minutes. I ordered a butterscotch latte. It's a good latte, not much butterscotch flavor. They have decaf espresso but it's $0.50 charge. Not sure if they also charge more if you get different type of milk rather than whole, ie oat milk. Next time I'll go back when I don't see much of line! I still would like to try a croffle. My friend and I were wandering along Amsterdam looking for a coffee shop, when I spotted Frame and remembered adding it to my shortlist of cafes to try. It's in a cool building and pretty discreet - it's after a long set of stairs. Inside, we were so surprised by how cute and cool it was! A super clean, eclectic little shop with plenty of seating, it felt very warm and inviting. Our drinks: Butterscotch latte, iced ($6.25) - YUM! This was perfect. I did ask for it to be a little less sweet and that was absolutely the right move as it was super sweet. For New York it was pretty spacious had a few tables, enough space to do study or do work for a few hours. The UWS has been recently blessed with a flurry of new coffee shops and restaurants, and Frame Coffee is another great addition. It's cozily tucked in on top of Hummus Place, right above street level. Despite the deceptively small space, there's a decent amount of seating in the back (just enough for a couple people to read or do work). The layout makes for a cozy atmosphere. Interestingly, they share space (and possibly ownership?) with Sala Thai and have adjoining seating areas in the back. The cafe is neatly and thoughtfully decorated, but I was pleasantly surprised that Frame isn't all looks. They have some of the better coffee in the area. Their espresso drinks are smooth and not too milky, and their Thai-style coffee was appropriately strong and not too sweet when I asked for less condensed milk. Perhaps my favorite thing, though, was their "croffle" (a waffled croissant). I got mine with chili shrimp paste and pork floss and it was a delicious and totally different flavor. It also had a really satisfying texture: crisp on the outside but chewy on the inside. read more
