Ordered: Iced Matcha Espresso (~$7): with oat milk Prosciutto Scramble (~$15): croffle, scrambled eggs, and subbed prosciutto for avocado topped with parmesan Aya's take: I was looking for a cafe to get some work done. My first option fell through and since I was in the area, I decided to stop by. Pretty small cafe (4 tables inside, 4 outside, and bar-type seating) but luckily I was able to snag a table. They have free wifi and I saw a couple of outlets too. I started off with the Iced Matcha Espresso. They initially made it hot which I didn't understand since the menu clearly says it can only be made iced. They quickly fixed this and got me my drink. This drink sounded better in my mind honestly. Despite the high quality matcha and espresso, between the two, it was bitter and the flavors clashed. I added some syrup which helped a lot! I would suggest adding a flavor (like vanilla) if you get this drink. The real winner was the Scramble. First, I'm glad they were able to substitute the prosciutto for avocado since I don't eat pork. They should really add this to the menu (and name it after me pls lol) as I got a few compliments on the dish from customers walking by. The croffle was delicious! Flaky, buttery, and warm. Cute interior - had a wall of film cameras! The yogurt bowl was made beautifully and had a whipped yogurt consistency. I liked the assortment of fruit and the granola had a crunch to the bowl. The matcha espresso wasn't my favorite. Couldn't really taste the espresso and the matcha seemed a bit watered down, potentially a bit too much milk in the latte. I do have to applaud for their size. Visited this adorable, cozy cafe for brunch today! Workers were super nice. Perfect spot to catch up with friends or study with good coffee. A friend of mine was in the city for a few days and wanted to catch up--she told me that she was staying in the UES so I searched for coffee/tea shops in the area and Frame piqued my interest. I got there a little after 11:00 am and was able to snag a table. They have three two-seat tables, three (or four) barstools and a table facing a wall and two barstools and a table facing the window. There is an interesting display of cameras on the wall and I noticed cameras placed in corners throughout the café. There were patrons drinking their beverages and working on their laptops but I saw a sign stating that working on laptops is not allowed on the weekends. When I arrived, it wasn't crowded--I think I missed the morning crowd. I ordered a chai latte with oat milk. My friend came in shortly thereafter and ordered a coffee. She wondered why my drink came in a mug and hers came in a paper cup. I told her that I mentioned that I was staying. I noticed that they didn't ask me. Anyway, it was a quiet place, great to do work, read or chat with friends. While we were there, a patron sat next to us and she ordered scrambled eggs and waffles. It looked really good but I wasn't planning on dining. My friend, however, decided to order food. She got the ham and cheese croffle sandwich. She asked for syrup but the employee told her that they only have maple syrup and that was an additional charge of .60 cents, then we realized that they did have regular syrup. Delicious all around. I order from here regularly when my bank allows as it's a bit pricey but absolutely delicious. The salmon croffle can be a bit inconsistent at times but when it slaps it slaps. I wanted to give Frame a review before I forgot because it's seriously such a gem of a coffee shop. Their latte was so delicious and was the perfect amount of creaminess and richness. I also ordered an avocado toast because I'm a fan, but I didn't expect to like it as much as I did. The toast was perfectly toasted, there was a really generous amount of avocado, and the seasoning/toppings were awesome. It's a great space to study in, albeit it's on the smaller side so seating is limited. However, I did some work in here and was really productive. This place is a gem. Small seating area but the food is amazing. I ordered the avocado toast and the pancake I shared with my daughter. I can tell you the blueberry pancake with cream cheese is mouthwatering and I can say the best one I had so far here in New York. We are staying mid Manhattan and the walk was worth it just to taste the pancake. The avocado toast was also delish and good size to really fill you up. Popped into Frame to grab a quick coffee. I loved the decor with the cameras on the wall. They had a variety of lattes. I chose the butterscotch latte with oat milk. The coffee was delish. There were a number of people working on their computers so this is definitely a spot to get some work done during the week if you wfh and want to leave your apartment. However I did see a sign that stated no laptops during the weekend so keep that in mind. Just about a year old, this spot is still being recommended by word of mouth or stumbling upon it - this spot has all the cozy vibes and good coffee. With the nice weather upon us, Frame offers both indoor and outdoor seating. The space is slightly small, fitting about ten tables of two - so make sure you get there a little sooner than you'd ideally like to eat. It is not full service dining, as you order at the cashier and pick up your own food - but the staff is super friendly! Coffee talk: they've got everything from espresso to pour-overs. I got myself an Iced Oatmilk Latte and it was a solid four out of five. It paired beautifully with my Avocado Toast, which I would also recommend.
