I used to do picture framing in this area at a few different places and I can tell you that having this guy right here is like finding a Picasso in your attic. I worked in a frame shop through high school so I understand the amount of effort, precision, care and creativity that goes into a quality frame. Don't underestimate the creativity, you're also paying for that. Sometimes the frame costs more than the art. The only solution to fix that ratio is to pay more for the art. I've had 6 or 7 pieces done by Kosal now in the last 3 years. Some were basic frames, some were more complicated and the last one was a completely custom hand-built frame with custom fabric dying and hand stitching. The custom frame was for a cheap $15 poster that has sentimental value to me and the job that Kosal did on it was incredible and well worth the money. He turned the $15 image into a show stopping masterpiece that gets constant commentary from guests to my home. I can't recommend this man enough. His work is more than fairly priced, he takes great care with his work and he's supremely artistic and tasteful. This was the first place that showed up on my yelp search, so as I had left my frame job a little too long, and it was time for my friend's birthday, I thought I would give it a shot, and see if they could help me frame the hand painting I wanted to gift him. First I met the lady who was married to the artist doing the framework. She was amazing, patient and very helpful. Then the young man who owns the place came in and set everything to perfection ensuring that I would never need to look for another frame shop again! I got estimates from Kosal and two other vendors in the area. He was the clear choice. His price was very fair and competitive, but that's not why I went with him.
