Last week knucklehead dog ate a chicken bone off the street on Northern Blvd. He chewed it up before I could do anything about it. Then he ate a popsicle stick.Two days later his bowel movement was ALL blood. I called FAC but they were very busy and recommended the emergency room. I started driving to Long Island and got stuck in traffic. While I was waiting I remembered I had Dr. Bs cel number from a previous serious visit. I called him he picked up and told me to drive right over, he would wait for me. Well two prescriptions and two days later we are all back to normal! I wish Dr. Bekhet was my doctor. THIS IS A LONG POST BUT PLEASE READ MAY SAVE YOUR PETS LIFE:::::: I want to share my experience at Francis Animal Clinic. The doctor and staff were pleasant, and I did feel comfortable during the visit. However, I specifically brought my dog Cash in on 03/14 because he had a visibly distended abdomen. At that time, he had also started to show some increased breathing, which I mentioned, although it was not yet very pronounced. I clearly expressed my concerns during the appointment. I was told that he was fine, that his abdomen looked normal, and that he only needed a routine cleaning and vaccines, which I agreed to based on that professional reassurance. On 03/20, just days later, Cash's condition worsened and I rushed him to an animal hospital in Westbury. The following day, 03/21, I had to take him to a second hospital for further evaluation. Both veterinarians questioned how his symptoms--his distended abdomen and breathing changes--were not identified or further evaluated during his initial visit. I was then informed that Cash had an underlying heart condition that was already affecting his body. Learning that he had received multiple vaccines during that initial visit, while already showing concerning symptoms, has been extremely difficult to process. By 03/22/26, just eight days after being seen and reassured that he was "fine," Cash passed away. This has been devastating for me and my family. I will be consulting with legal counsel to further review this matter. I share this experience so other pet owners can be encouraged to seek thorough evaluations and ask detailed questions when something doesn't feel right. Dr. M.M. Bekhet was such a miracle worker. We had a young stray cat that we fed in our yard who came to us after being gone for some time and returned with most of her arm broken off. We thought she got in a fight or fell. Immediately, we rushed this cat into the care of this animal clinic and her condition only improved from that point on. He completed the surgery and gave us clear care instructions. Other vets didn't want to help and even recommended we euthanize this young cat. He is highly qualified and generous with his knowledge. He won't hesitate to describe treatment pros and cons and is reassuring that he will try his best. He was honest when he spoke of the challenges that might arise with my sweet dogs, Nova Blu and Mia. Last year Mia had a corneal ulcer, he saved her eye. Last month our Nova Blu had to have emergency surgery. Dr. Bekhet went above and beyond to save her life. If I could give ZERO stars I would!! This is the most unprofessional animal clinic ever!! I'm enraged at the level of stupidity. My cat has been suffering from severe symptoms of "in heat" on and off and so we scheduled her to be spayed at this clinic. We made this appointment OVER TWO months ago in April when first symptoms started showing and tomorrow was SUPPOSED to be her surgery. My brother called them and that when they told him the DAY BEFORE THE SURGERY TO TELL HIM "VET IS OUT OF THE COUNTRY??!! Huhhhhh??? No email. No phone call to reschedule the many weeks/ months before. NOTHING before the whole 2months to reschedule! They waited the DAY BEFORE to tell us the doctor wasn't available. unprofessional animal clinic. Where was the courtesy of the phone call the whole time before? Safe to say we won't be back here! I guess thank you for the bare minimum of at least picking up the phone when WE CALLED TO TELL us the day before the surgery that the vet won't be available! HA WHAT A JOKE! read more

I brought my little yorkie (HazeI) to Francis Animal Clinic. She was in labor for several hours. At this point, I noticed that she was going into complications. She couldn't give birth anymore at home. I contacted Francis Animal Clinic. I explained what was going on. I rushed her into the office. It was the best decision ever. They quickly responded to giving her all the help she needed in order save her & her puppies. She underwent a emergency C-section at the clinic.  Dr Bekhet performed the C-section & helped deliver all her puppies safely. Im filled with tears of joy knowing that the Mommy & her pups made it through .Thanks to the help of Dr. Bekhet & his staff.  Hazel is doing well & is home recovering with her 3 beautiful puppies. Terrible terrible terrible!!!! DONT GO HERE!! The vet scheduled a surgery telling us to come back in two months and when it was finally time for her spaying procedure. He decides to leave the country without letting us know. I had to CALL and they informed me. They never told us prior. We waited two whole months just for him to disappear without a word. incredibly disrespectful and waste of our time and money. They just took our money for the first appointment and did nothing. First of all, you let a suffer puppy wait for 3 day to get a treatment done, do u know how painful it is for a person with dislocated joint suffer? Second, do u have a back up plan or someone to help u when you fail? 3rd, did u know because of you delay make the wound got worst? 4th, where are you from? Do you know in America if you fail to get a job done u shouldn't try to get more money out of the patience. My wife and I took our 12 year-old Shiba Inu here after a bad experience at a previous vet. Right off the bat, we learned that this guy doesn't charge a credit card fee (awesome). The waiting area's a little tight, but we were seen pretty close to our appointment time. Being a Shiba, our dog is admittedly harder to handle than most other breeds. He's 50/50 when it comes to being touched by strangers. That sure didn't show when we brought him in to see to his constant scratching and biting himself. The vet tech handled our fox demon like a pro. Dr. Bekhet himself demonstrated knowledge, compassion, and patience. He didn't seem like he was in a hurry to kick us out, as so many doctors these days are. Nor does he strike me as money-hungry. He offered us multiple avenues to resolving our dog's issues. He didn't try to sell us a million different unnecessary tests. We ended up going with a Cortazon shot and some ointment. So far, it seems to be helping. I am so happy & grateful to God that we found Francis Animal clinic on Google, it's been a few weeks since my Teddybears surgery!! He's doing great!!! He already went to 2 follow up appointments after surgery & thankfully he is healing very well!! Thanks to Dr. Milad Bekhet my Teddybear is doing really well, his incisions healed up pretty good, his stitches were just removed today, he's eating & his bowel & urination is back to normal which that was the main concern, Teddybear is more active & happier than usual.. I'm beyond grateful to Dr. Milad Bekhet & his exceptional staff for their patience & taking such good care of my Teddybear, especially for their patience & compassion, making my family & I feel comfortable...keeping us hopeful & positive that our fur baby was going to make it!! He saved our kitty's life. Poor little guy had ingested a yo-yo string, at least two shoelaces and a black rubbery thing I still can't identify, and ended up with a small bowel obstruction and perforation. Dr. Bekhet did the surgery (resecting ~10 cm of intestine from a 4 month old kitten!), patiently explained postoperative care to my 20 year old kid, and called several times (including over the weekend!) to check in. He genuinely cared, and sent me photos of the surgery (impressive). Not expensive, considering everything he and his caring staff did for us. Office is clean and welcoming. DO NOT TRUST YOUR FURRY FAMILY MEMBERS WITH THIS DOCTOR. I have never written a negative yelp review and normally I let things slide, but there's no way I can not warn others about this clinic. - I brought my cat to this clinic to get the rest of his remaining teeth extracted (my cat had some damaged teeth when I adopted him in 2021 that had to get extracted that year at a different clinic + developed bad gingivitis which resulted in the rest of the teeth needing removal this year). The visit initially went well and people were nice to me. Before the procedure, the doctor told me he would take out all of my cats teeth (the vet I saw before him also said all of my cats teeth would need to be removed). After the procedure, the doctor told me that all of my cat's teeth were removed, except for his top four incisors, which he said looked healthy and would fall out over time anyway. A few months after the surgery, I discovered that my cat STILL had an inflamed back molar tooth that had been missed on accident and was never mentioned to me. I tried to reach the doctor for over a month in hopes to have a conversation about what could possibly be done. I tried sending 3 friendly emails and called his office twice. I was able to chat with the assistant and receptionist (who were both responsive and nice) on the phone, but never got to talk to the doctor. The receptionist told me that the doctor would be willing to do the second surgery to remove this missed tooth if I paid an ADDITIONAL $200. I emailed in hopes of speaking with him directly to see if it was at all possible for me to not have to pay again, since this was the clinic's mistake. Instead of saying "no" or the two of us speaking more about it one on one, he just sent me an angry email and voicemail full of complete lies and things that never even happened. Then he told me to find a different vet to fix his mistake. The whole situation was the most unprofessional interaction I've EVER experienced. He proceeded to tell me that he was doing ME A FAVOR by only charging me $200 for another surgery to fix his mistake. When I had my first initial vet visit with him, he would complain about other clients and clinics. Guess I'll be another person for him to complain about to save his ego. Also, they do NOT provide visit summaries like other vets do. The only paperwork I received was the receipt for my credit card payment. Guess this helps when he wants to change the situation to save his pride. He can accuse me of lying, being a fake client, or even try to insult me as a pet parent (like he's done with other negative reviews) but I have the documentation and voicemails to prove it.
