My pittie, Lola, had to have surgery for two lumps (Mass cell tumor and sarcoma) and they were really caring and helpful and called me to let me know of the status and kept me well updated as to how the surgery went and when I could pick her up. Dr. Cohen also stated he would not be taking action regarding the employee involved, citing that she had been "showing improvement," and added that she is pregnant. This was extremely hard for me since I had Bacon before my daughter and my husband. The staff were so kind, and made the process as gentle on us as possible. They created a memorial keepsake with her paw print in sand. They also included patches of her fur, and they made sure to include all of her colors. Not only that, they sent a beautiful, handwritten sympathy card. I know it's old fashioned, but it also shows that they care. That action took time, and they didn't have to do that, but they did. I will take my other cats there, any future pets, and I'll recommend other pet parents to this vet.

They let us come to the waiting room 15 min before closing to do a check for fleas, any major issues, gender, and a microchip for an existing owner. He checked out fine and we came back a week later for his first checkup. My 4yo (human child) was SO upset about our new kitty being taken into a back room so they worked to find a solution that made him calmer about his friend. It was so sweet and the care was comprehensive, I really appreciated it. Sometimes I've been hit with vet visits where the bills are astronomical and I don't understand what's happening, this was the exact opposite. The staff are so friendly and put us totally at ease. Also, if anyone cares, I compared the pumpkin and trupanion pet insurance for cats. Personally, I found pumpkin pet insurance covers quite a bit of care and is very affordable, in my opinion.
