This Geico preferred shop is HORRIBLE, do yourself a favor and stay away! They told me it would take a week and a half to finish, it's taken over a month. I had a bad experience with this company. We were in a collision in July (a truck backed into us at the Costco gas pumps, of all things). We had the option of using our insurance - Century 21 or the other party's insurance, GEICO. Geico seemed like a good way to go as they are linked to Francis as an "all-in-one" collision center. It was very convenient to pick up and drop off an Enterprise rental at their shop. The shop itself is clean and the front ladies friendly enough. When our car was towed there, we were asked to do a walk around inspection like you would for a rental. The car was already in the garage with most of the front taken apart. We went over all the scratches and couple dings the car had. The repair was fast (we found out later, a bit too fast). Three business days to replace the grill, hood, bumper and put in a new coolant for the AC. We went in for pick up at 5pm on a Tuesday and dropped off the rental. The first thing I noticed was the plastic under apron of the car was hanging a bit. Then I noticed a new large scratch/chip on the front fender. I pointed this out to the guy who helped us. He said the under apron was not part of the damage so it was already like that. He noted the scratch and took pictures of it to show his boss. He seemed in a rush and said if anything is wrong, Geico guarantees the work for a lifetime. Well, we got home that evening and noticed a lot more wrong - *The gaps along the bumper, headlights and bumper were all wrong. Parts overlapped and stuck out. Where the hood meets the grill, a space of a quarter inch on one side and about a half inch (where I could stick my finger in) on the right side. *The license plate mount was stuck on crooked by at least half an inch hanging down further on one end. * Missing radiator cover on the plastic assembly under the hood *Improper alignment of the plastic assembly under the hood in such that pieces were overlaying the grill when they should have been tucked in * The falling down under apron was because a screw was missing - and realizing now that this part was taken off by them to asses the damage when we did our walk around * The new scratch on the left fender we noted before, plus a continuation and large chips taken out on the drive door as if something was dragged up agains the car. We got in contact with Francis again and was asked to bring in the car. I showed them all the things I noted. They said to bring it back again the next day at 8am. (Mind that this shop is about 25 miles from our house). Car was dropped off and they offered to drop us back off at home. No rental. The next day we got a call that it would take another day, that we could pick up a rental. We called Enterprise of Madera to "pick us up" as they always advertise. We got another call saying they will take care of the damage on the fender, but they do not believe that they did that damage on the door because it was so big and noticible that we should have seen it the day we picked the car up. So, very angry, I asked what is the point of a prior damage walk around signed by both Francis and the owner of the car, when they do not even acknowledge their own document? Why didn't we do another walk around like any rental company would do before handing us the keys? Francis just became liable for damage there, but wouldn't own up to the damage we discovered. Only after I sent pictures of the car door damage that I took with my phone (and happened to have time stamps within a couple hours of pick up) were they willing to take responsibility for the damage they did. Picking up the car for the second time - still no where near perfect as far as the gaps and alignment of all the external pieces, but better than before. We just wanted to be done with this company and have our car back. All in all, beware of this shady company. They rush jobs hoping that you won't notice the condition. They don't follow through with their walk-arounds to protect you and themselves from liability. And it will be near impossible to have them admit they are at fault on something unless you have proof. I had dropped off my vehicle on a Tuesday morning & immediately received a phone call in the evening stating that my vehicle was all good to go. I was a little iffy about this since it was suppose to be a 4 day job. So I went the next day to "pick up" my car. I paid my deductible and then was waiting outside for my car for about 5 min until someone asked me what I was there for. The gentlemen states that my car was not ready and better yet they hadn't even started to work on it. Completely disappointed. They took care of everything and I didn't have to worry about a thing. They drove me to my rental car place and picked me up. Their service is great. I had my car fixed at Francis collision center (several months ago - 7/15), and could not be happier with the service. My (Geico) insurance adjuster was waiting when I arrived at the shop and he was able to get the mechanic to check out my car within 10!" Not only did the mechanic give a spot-on estimate, he also fixed a few other minor cosmetic issues unrelated to my car accident. I asked him about some scuff marks that were on the rear bumper of my car and he was able to rub the area with a compound that removed most of the marks and made it look 100% better. I also had a problem with my passenger-side mirror that he was able to fix. The ladies at the front desk - Becky and Stephanie - were very friendly and helpful. And I wish I could remember the name of the mechanic (late 40's, about 5'10" and 170#s ???)... Vince? Everyone was so nice and the service was exceptional! I will definitely be returning (but hopefully no time soon!!!) and will let my friends and family know about the awesome service I received @ FCC! read more

After an accident, I brought my car here, and over 8 days later, they did not complete repairs (minor body damage they said) so I brought it back. They returned it to me and it is still not fixed. We took it on a 7 hour trip to vegas with my three children in the car thinking everything was okay... but it was far from ok. It was not only driving horrible but the lights were put back together wrong, the siding was peeling off due to wrong placement........we took it back with a list of things wrong with it. They said they would order parts, come back in two days. I came back and they said, "let us drive you home...across town...IN YOUR OWN CAR, and bring it back to you when we are done. I assumed they didn't want my 3 kids in their office for several hours. When the mechanic gets in the car to drive us home....he barley pulls it out of the parking lot and he says he can feel the bearing humming. They finally bring it back around 5 p.m. and it is still messed up and the guy says he will have them call me. I haven't heard anything and it is almost 2:00 the next day. So I called them. I called them finally and they said oops. They told me to bring it back in. I live across town and that is not acceptable cause it is a waste of my money for gas. He said he can come pick it up....duh....waste more of my gas??? NO You should cut me a check for the multiple trips!!!! So the next day, I brought it back in. This would be my 7th 15 mile trip to the business. @ $3.25 a gallon, that is $32.31 in gas that I have spent for them to waste my time and ruin my vehicle. While I was there with my 3 kids, one of the mechanics cat called (whistled) at me. I complained and they said he was calling a different mechanic yet when I heard the whistle, I turned around and saw him staring at me. I know the difference between a cat call and a whistle trying to get someones attention. I complained to the Geico chick that was there helping me from day one and she went and talked to Mike about the gas money. He put a rolled up $10 in my cup holder and assured me that nothing bad would have happened if the ball bearing was left unnoticed. One of the main issues was the wheel ball bearing which could have killed me and my family on our road trip. They freely released the vehicle without test driving it, because you could hear it, it was extremely loud. I asked when they didn't feel the vibration and he told me since he does not want people to think he is joyriding in their vehicles, he does not take them over 50 mph......what???? Seriously???? The mechanic felt it at 20 mph..... I spent over a day on the computer researching how peoples tires have fallen off, causing major accidents on the high way....since I drove my family 7 hours away on a trip with a bad bearing, I was terrified that they allowed this to happen and that Mike told me nothing would happen. How are you a mechanic and you don]t know that my tire could have fallen off????? Are you just lying to me to try to make me feel better? Because I know what would have happened. It's been over a month and I still don't have my car back yet. One thing after another came up and I wished the majority of the damages were discovered in the beginning. Took my car in to get service for my fender and door. Went through the geico express service there. Geico adjuster was cool. Everyone else was just meh I guess. My car was suppose to be done in a week but called last minute stating it wasn't done. Waited the next day and got my car. It was so loud there that I couldn't hear everything on my car. My door was loud and they didn't finish patching it right when i got home to check it again. The quality control guy didn't do such a great job looking at the car and the minor details and probably expected me not to know these things. Good thing I'm a enthusiast in cars. He could have left his name and phone number on the paper they left in the car for me. Had to take it in the next day and also my fender they fixed had air bubbles and a nicked on there as well as my other fender that they didn't touch. Plus, I had many white paint droplets on my car. Had them fixed it, and the air bubbles were still there. I had them buffed it again and it was still there. They fixed the door and my non damaged fender but the white paint everywhere was still everywhere and they didn't bothered to take it out. So I just gave up and did it myself as i don't have time to take my car back in all the time. The front desk customer service can use some work. They're more busy flirting with their guy employees rather than pay attention to customers who walk in. They left many grease marks on my windows and car after they detailed it and plus my rims weren't even clean. My second time using their service and I think I'll probably go somewhere else next time. Always remember to take pictures and do your own walk through before going to a shop. I'm glad I did to back up your claims of extra damage on your car that the shop causes. read more
