Been a customer for over 20 years. He's always sucked at communication, but recent years have been really bad.. good luck getting replies to your emails, texts or voicemails. If you're lucky he might pick up the phone and will lie to your face and tell you what you want to hear, and will ask for your money. After your payment you'll never hear from him again. I hired him for two cases in 2024 and he setup a court date for one and never showed up for it. The court rescheduled it 2 other times and Francisco was a no-show. For the other case, he didn't even ever contact the court and I had to find that out the hard way through a court letter that I lost. Eventually after a ton of calls one time he picked up and when I questioned him he acted all surprized and gave me some BS for being involved in a big case and asked me to send him all my documents again.. really? Based on his other recent reviews and my experience he has turned into a thief and a liar. If you want to lose your money and your case, he's your guy. You've been warned. read more

I needed some advice on a speeding ticket I got back in 8/2023. I paid my ticket and took traffic school only to find out later that I was never eligible. Francisco said they'd have to reopen the case and he was 90% confident he could fix it. It would normally cost $600 to get the ticket dismissed but since the case had to be reopened, it would be closer to $1k. He recommended I check with my insurance company to see how much my rates would increase and whether or not it's worth fighting in court. I found out the cost was about the same but I'll probably go with my insurance since it's not a lump sum. The fact that he didn't push me to go with him and said I should do whatever costs less is the kind of service I wanted. I will definitely keep him in mind if/when I get into another ticket situation. read more

Changed my account, here is my 2014 review! So the CHP claims I was speeding in July 2013 and was pacing my Porsche 911 at some outrageous speed in heavy bumper to bumper rush hour traffic as I passed a Prius going 50mph in the fast lane. I haven't received any moving violation for about 18 years and qualified for traffic school, but I wanted to fight the ticket. I called up Francisco to see what he can do to help me contest the ticket. It was $600 prepaid with no results guranteed but that usually he can get traffic school for the defendant, which I already had. Either case, I decided to go for it. I did inform Francisco that I cannot be present at court but he did advise me that it would help for me to be present. He sent to court and the court date changed three times and ultimately in March 2014, it went to trial. One week later, I received a letter from the court that my case was dismissed! Been needing to post this, Francisco has got to be the BEST lawyer in town! This guy simply knows what to do and how to do it. If you're searching for one right now, you can stop here, trust me. What was my case? An Underage (20 yrs.) D.U.I. What happened? Got pulled over on 880 N. going 80 MPH, went through the field sobriety test, breathalyzer, BAC % level above 0 (underage), and bam! Took my license away right then and there. Two offenses: dui and speeding. I didn't know whether a lawyer was going to be worth it or not. I decided to call a few that I found through yelp, google, and other people. I had mixed results; some said they couldn't do much since I was underage, others wanted to charge $4000 to try to handle my case, and others just wanted me to plead guilty and try to bargain for softer consequences. Francisco stood out to me because of his confidence in beating this case, and the fact that his price was a fraction of the other lawyers'. I went with it, and it went down pretty much like this: I told him what happened - Gave him all the papers (citations) - Paid (can be tweaked) - Waited - Waited.. - He beat the DMV case to get my license back (I didn't have to show up!) - Waited... - Finally we went to handle the court case (which I didn't need to go to as well, but I did), and he got it DISMISSED! If you're ever in trouble with the law, Francisco's your guy! My problem: DUI. Charges against me: 1) driving under the influence, 2) driving with blood alcohol content above 0.08, and 3) driving with blood alcohol content above 0.15. Evidence against me: 1) Blood test: Blood Alcohol Content of 0.17 2) Video recording of weaving and not responding to police 3) My own admission of consuming alcohol on audio recording 4) Failed 5 field sobriety tests (according to the CHP officer) I had a bad case. We went to trial, and the jury was deadlocked 10 for guilty. After the judge declared a mistrial, the DA was set on a re-trial. Long story short, all charges were dismissed. I will preface this review by stating that if you already have points on your driving record and were caught in a bad plight such as DUI or driving 100+ mph, Francisco may be just the guy you need. If you're like me with a clean driving record and were unlucky to get a red light camera ticket ($500 fine, ouch), think twice before hiring Francisco. I spoke to Francisco before hiring him, and he went on and on about how he has handled many red light camera cases and, in the vast majority of cases, he is able to get the ticket dismissed or reduced. He said it's because of the way the data is collected; it has nothing to do with what you did or what was caught on camera. He made it sound like it's a simple technicality and he knows how to get around it. He said this over and over, "dismissed or reduced", being careful to say "dismissed" first. So I hired him to handle my red light camera case, thinking it's an easy matter of using technicality in your favor to get an expensive ticket dismissed. I knew I had been taken when, as soon as he rang up my credit card for his $450 fee (Yelp deal instead of the regular $500).... he immediately changed his tune and said he thought he would be able to get my ticket reduced to a non-moving violation which doesn't increase insurance rates or go on your DMV record, but made no mention of getting the ticket dismissed. I new right at that instant that I had given my money to a scheister and that my ticket would cost me $950 instead of $500. And the outcome was exactly that: the ticket still cost $500 and was recorded as a non-moving violation. I was stunned at the change in what he said PRE- and POST-payment. If he had said at the start, what he said after he rang up my credit card, I would have never hired him! A friend who received a red light camera ticket in California went to traffic court to fight it, and the judge said red light camera tickets are not reported. However, Francisco insists red light camera tickets are reported, so I'm not sure who to believe. Either way, even if the ticket *is* reported, it's just 1 point which doesn't cause insurance rates to go up (they do after 2 points). I spoke to an insurance agent who confirmed that rates only go up after 2 points, and it's a 3-year window. After 3 years, that point will drop off for their rate calculations anyway. So again, if you have a clean driving record like I did, 1 point won't cause your rates to go up, which an honest person would have told me instead of selling me something I didn't need. My friend who went to traffic court got $100 off the ticket just for showing up. So I would have been better off going to court myself rather than sending Francisco. Again, a most honest person would have told me I'd be better off going myself, or just paying the full ticket and not hiring him. Basically any other option would have been better, in my particular case. Again, I'm not saying he can't get you off the hook from a DUI or 100+ speeding ticket. Sounds like other reviewers are saying he can. I am writing about my experience with a red light camera ticket only and the slick sales job. UPDATE: You should question why this guy has no negative reviews. I almost caved and removed mine, but decided I'm standing up against bullies. read more

I would agree with the below in that he explains the law thoroughly and will do pretty much everything for you - you don't even need to show up in court for a red light ticket. However, he is extremely hard to communicate with once he takes your case - doesn't return phone calls or emails - you have to just hope that he answers the phone when you call. Also, he charges more than the actual bail for the ticket so it may only be worth it if you need to prevent points from being added to your driving record so that your insurance payments don't go up. I got two consecutive red light camera tickets within a few days at the same intersection, and he was able to get one of them dismissed but not the other. read more

If you don't mind paying more than what a ticket might actually cost, in order to avoid points on your license, hiring a traffic attorney is a great way to go. I've used Francisco twice, and both times we won, saving me a massive amount of money in the long run. When it comes to traffic attorneys in SF, I don't know of anyone else who will get it done for the kind of reasonable fee that Francisco charges. Bear in mind, he takes care of everything. This is a double-edged sword. You don't have to do anything once you submit your paperwork to him, but at the same time don't expect to hear from him until he's secured a court decision. He tends to work in the background and won't reach out to you. If you ask for any updates, it might take a while before you hear back. I guess that's just his style, but takes a little getting used to. read more

It's not completely his fault as the guy has more people wanting his services than he has time. The fact that he will NOT cut you off means that he listens a LOT. Pros: -Able to take on my case, even though there was only 1 weeks left until my trial was due -No hassle, give him the ticket, pay him, he'll take care of the rest. In, short, I was pulled over while driving home and handed a ticket I didn't deserve. Later to find I had asked my previous traffic lawyer about an attorney for DUI in the past in case anything ever happened better to be prepared than not and recently found the notes with his name on it. Negotiated with the cop to change a 1-point infraction to a petty CVC code that leaves no record in the system and carries no point on the license in exchange for a slightly higher fine. Case dismissed. I don't think anyone could have handled the matter more effectively. Apart from that, he is a great guy to talk to, very personable. The flat fee is reasonable.
