Went to Francolini's for a Friday lunch. I've been following them on Instagram for a while and their specials looked so good! We walked in, took a number and looked at the menu and specials posted. We were soon called to the spot where you place your order and I got the Cardini special and my SO got the Roxy special so we could split. The sandwiches didn't take very long and they were delicious! The Cardini was my favorite - crispy chicken cutlets, pancetta, garlic and pepper aioli, and basically Caesar salad on sesame seed bread. It was perfection! The Roxy comes with juicy meatballs, ricotta, lemon zest, basil and melted mozzarella. It's an adult meatball sub, and I'm here for it. Both of the sandwiches were quite large and filling. It's pricey but well worth it for the quality you get.

OMG THAT WAS SUCH A GOOD SANDWICH!!!! I think I'm in love with Francolini's. I've been dying to come here for a while and finally made it happen today. Worth the wait. When you enter, take a ticket. Check out the menu. The counter will call your number and you give your name and order. Then proceed to the register where you pay and pick a drink if you desire. They'll call out your name when it's ready. Kind and patient staff! I was definitely a little anxious not knowing how it worked but they were nice to me limited indoor seating but lots of seating outside out back! My sandwich was sooooo good. Today's special had Italian sausage from Gonzo's Smokehouse (if you ever see that Gonzo's is part of a special anywhere, ORDER IT. YOULL THANK ME I PROMISE). I'm pretty sure I was making noises that made other customers uncomfortable but I don't even care. It was that good.

I have only been here once but I can't wait to go back. They put time and effort into these yummy sandwich creations. It's a quality sandwich shop. Service great and food on point.

The Roxy. A Friday special. Just do it.

This is my favorite sandwich place ever. If you come to New Orleans with me during the day, go ahead and assume we're coming here and/or St. Pizza. It's the vibes. It's the flavors that they put together. It's the people that work here that actually want to be here. Get the Gaga on focaccia. Get anything with their pimento cheese on it. Get the pimento cheese to go. Always get the special, it doesn't matter what the special is - you're going to be like holy shit this is amazing. Dammit now I want Francolinis

I've been stalking Francolini's for quite some time now. I think I've liked almost every post they've shared on their IG. Interestingly, I went there twice to buy gift cards without actually purchasing a sandwich. The workers were always so friendly! Finally the day has come, I decided to buy a sandwich, and it did not disappoint! I ordered the Uncle John...WOW! The crumbled hot Italian sausage had a wonderful flavor, you can taste the Italian seasoning, complemented by the sautéed bell peppers and onions. And that provolone cheese pull!!? YUM! Let's not forget the seeded sub that held everything together perfectly. Only regret I have is that I wish I had added extra jalapeños. Definitely recommend

Unbelievable food, fresh ingredients, creative menu, authentic feel, wonderful staff, great service, reasonably priced, massive portions. We love Francolini's

Definitely an institution! Lots of recs from locals to try this place and it didn't disappoint. Was nervous it'd be super busy so ordered online and picked up in store. We tried 2 sandwiches and they were both incredible! There are such creative options and many drinks to choose from as well. Staff are super friendly. Extra seating on patio in the back. Will be back!

No need for a review when the weekday lunchtime lines (and they move swiftly) are what they are on tchoupitoulas. The bread is magnificent The ingredients are top shelf The combinations are artisanal 5 stars

We were craving sandwiches and found this place by accident! Walk in, take a ticket and order when your ticket has been called. We waited about 10 minutes. I ordered The Italian (added red hot peppers), and my husband ordered The Raphael. They give your bread choices: seeded, unseeded or focaccia. Both sandwiches were really good a filled with lots of meats, cheese and all the fixings! Add the vinaigrette and it's as delicious as it is filling. The peppers add a nice sweet kick. I was only able to eat half of mine and took the other half home. They also sell bags of chips, all kinds of sodas, seltzers and teas, pasta salads and desserts. We shared a bag of Maui sweet onion chips and one of Batterina's chocolate chip cookie cheesecakes! The overall vibe is casual. The staff is friendly and they are working very hard - all of them! I saw two cashiers and about 4-5 people making the sandwiches. Tip them well! Would definitely be back.

neither i nor anyone i know has ever had a bad sandwich from francolini's. i've had the flea and the mezzanotte and both have been amazing. i love that they can make any sandwich on the menu vegetarian. if i lived here long enough, i'm sure i'd go through the whole menu. really cute variety of stuff they sell in the freezer too!

After hearing several raving reviews, I had to try Francolini's this summer! I'm so glad that I did. The atmosphere is very authentically New Jersey Deli, with a streamline ordering process and friendly faces throughout! The options are plentiful, and I even saw some good looking vegetarian options as well. We didn't stay to eat, but our sandwiches travelled really well! The bread stayed crisp on the outside and tender on the inside, and the quality of the produce, meats, and cheeses made the sandwich that much more delightful. Definitely worth a try!

The best sandwich ever and it's a limited time only menu . Black Forest bacon and creole tomatoes! The big surprise for me was how tasty the shredded lettuce mixed with the pesto and vinaigrette was. I saved one half for later and the bread wasn't soggy at all. There's plenty of street parking but inside seating is limited. I work nearby so I just come in for pick up.

    The Gandolfini. Mmm good.

That is the level of devotion this place inspires. If you have not been, stop what you are doing and go. If you have been, you already know. Ordered: - Collard Green Melt - I was unsure about this one at first but honestly the flavors work really well together. - Fried Bologna - this one was also very yummy. I think if i reordered I would probably do not mustard (but that's just a personal preference since I don't like mustard). This sandwich had a lot of height to it, my TMJ was not happy but it was good. - Crinkle Cut Fries Both of the sandwiches were good but they're quite rich. I wouldn't be able to finish one by myself I got a little flavor fatigue by the end. Having a hard time picking between the two sandwich which one I prefer more so I would just get both and split it with others. Wait Time: Arrived around 1PM on a rainy Saturday, line was out the door. It was about a 30 minute wait until we ordered and got seated. Restaurant had slight nostalgia vibes to me, it almost felt like the sandwiches were something someone made after school with leftover ingredients and it works.

It was good, a little salty. But its not as tender as a beef burger. It was a nice change up. The pickles were good. We ordered some to go. ( take with you or they can ship to your house). The burger itself was filling to me. Rest of my party bbq pork and fish platter. Hush puppies were okay, they give so much. I could honestly do without it. Everyone was satisfied. 2nd visit ordered the porchetta . That was really good. Ordered a mac and cheese. It has breadcrumbs on top it comes in a small dish that i feel like is shareable. It wasn't bad actually ( ive had worse lol). One of the workers did really suggest it. I was willing to try it. It was edible, no cheese pull but also not just buttered noodles. Depending on my mood I might get it again. Porchetta and the leadership pig, I think the porchetta was better but both are great and filling.

I struggled with putting a 5-star review on a pretty basic menu (no offense), but dang it,…read moreeverything we've eaten in our last 3 visits (in 2 months) has been 5-star fresh, tasty and plentiful. Give credit where credit is due. And the servers have really stepped it up. Very nice! Have not had to deal with huge crowds on any of our three visits, just a steady stream of in and out guests and to go orders. Drinks are always brought promptly, and only once has one gone dry. (They are $3.79 ea, so drink up!) One visit involved Pesto Bites and a Savory Cannoli w/a pasta salad side. The Pesto Bites were to die for, and don't believe the picture on the website - the cannoli was huge and looked more like a very big calzone, but it was packed with ingredients and flavor. The pasta salad was seasoned with just the right amount of Italian dressing. Another visit involved Mozzarella Sticks, Pesto Bites, wings and a Combo pizza. It also involved a large to go box. :) The wings were very good - not bready or slimy, which I often encounter when wings aren't the sole business of the establishment. Loved the crust on the pizza. The 3rd visit involved 3 people and Pizza Bites, Seafood Bites, Savory Cannoli w/pasta salad, Spaghetti & Meatballs w/2 extra meatballs and a 14" Hawaiian Pizza. There were some to go boxes and to go drinks with this meal too. I was pleasantly surprised with the Hawaiian pizza, not something I would ordinarily try, the Pizza Bites were amazing, and I don't eat shrimp but am told the Seafood Bites were very good. I wish I had taken pictures, but each time we were sitting down starving; that's never good for the photo business. :) Try it, you'll like it.

The best part of the food was that they all came out very hot and fresh. I think this is what we always ask for when we go to restaurants. Aside from the food, the service remains great as our waitress did wonderful on checking up on us and refilling drinks as needed. Seating remains the same as I remembered it from last time with a New Orleans vibe in the benches. Overall experience was great and would definitely return to this restaurant if i'm craving Italian!
