I was super sketched out by how the inside of this spot looked. It was a messss and the kitchen looked... well not tidy. Food looked like it had been sitting out all day and some things just looked old. HOWEVER I decided to trust the reviews and see what people were raving about. I'll say that Po'Boy was DELICIOUS ! I ordered a fried shrimp one with the dressing (aka all the toppings). I would order from here again. I didn't realize before coming to NOLA that Po'Boys were just anything in a French bread. Basically just French bread sandwich, I typically wouldn't order something like that especially with so many great food options but it was GREAT!!! There's not much interacting since this is just your local corner store / bodega. You order at register and take a number. There is NO SEATING inside or outside. We went at 11 pm one night and it took about 10-15 min wait for food. We got one sandwich and split it.

    All That Jazz Sandwich

After the first two spots we tried to grab food at were closed on Easter Sunday, we decided to stop by Verti Marte and fortunately they were slinging sandwiches. We ordered an All That Jazz to split, paid at the front, grabbed our food from the back counter, and then walked to the French Market to sit down and eat. It was definitely a messy sandwich but stuffed full of meat and mushrooms and cheese. The bread had gotten a little squashed and soggy in transport but overall, delicious sandwich that would be great for late night tipsiness :P

I was drawn to the numerous reviews that praised this spot. It was a lil walk from the French market. This deli market is located in the back of a small corner store, and it is a tight fit. If you're claustrophobic, you're gonna have a bad time. The options are pretty vast, with even a few options for vegetarians. Order at the main counter of the store and bring the ticket back to the sandwich counter, and they make your sandwich fresh. I went for a spicy mufuletta, as I had never encountered a spicy variation of this classic sandwich. It was a hefty sandwich that is easily shareable between two people without huge appetites. Flavor wise it was delicious, with plenty of olive mix. My only quibble was that both my sandwich and my companion's sandwich were on the greasy side. Make sure to have plenty of napkins. There's also some cold premade non sandwich items to take home as well as some desserts. Oh, it's also worth mentioning there is no seating here at all. You'll have to trek your way to the French market for open seating or take the sandwich back to the hotel room.

    6 shrimp shrimp Philly (fail)

I Called myself starting off 26' right going for some flavor and variety with my 1st po-boy of the new year so Verti Marte was the choice. It's the go to spot for specialty poboys at least it used to be. I ordered the shrimp Philly cost ($20) and literally came with 6 butterflied medium sz grilled shrimp 3 on each half 3!! The rest was bell pepper mushroom and onion with wow sauce filler. The bread was soft and warm the veggies with the wow sauce were good (1star) but I paid for a shrimp Philly not a grilled vegetable sandwich with wow sauce for $20. The service is always the same (1star) for the ability to call in your order but not consistent with the inflated prices & decreased portions & Quality. They have taken a Nosedive but the branded logo sandwich wrap paper was a nice touch & looked better than my sandwich at least. I'm disappointed to see such a staple Fall off especially charging those prices. They definitely for the tourist & FQ transplant residents now. Hopefully they get back on track until....... I wouldn't recommend.

This was my last food stop in NOLA before flying back to Calfornia. This place was recommended so had to give it a try. It's within the French Quarters a store and deli market open 24hrs. Ordered 1/2 Mufaletta considering it was going to be huge. It's basically NOLA's. version of an anti-pasta Italian sandwich. You order and pick up at the back of the market. I love olives but there was too much olives. The sandwich was decent and better than most of the food I had ate in the area. Stop by here if you're in the area. It's also near several haunted places including the Lalaurie Mansion and Zack and Addie Murder House.

    All That Jazz Sandwich

We stopped by for some muffulettas because when in New Orleans, it's a must. We ordered the All that Jazz ($19) and Po Boy Muffuletta ($15.34). It ended up being $38.38 with tax or $39.91 (with the card fee). To start, the shop was very small, there were some aisles to get to the back where the sandwiches were. It's a very tight fit, so if your group is large maybe have 1 person have a list of what you want to order and only a couple people go in to grab the muffulettas. The owner of the shop was nice and the ordering was pretty simple where you order at the register at the front first and then proceed to the back for pick up. The sandwiches were large but very messy. There are no places to sit at the shop so we opted to walk the French Market and sit on some benches at the park to grub. To be honest, you could share one with another person. The sandwiches were very heavy, saucy and a little soggy. I thought it was a bit too salty for my taste but the flavors were good. Overall, large sandwiches, tad salty, but nice service. Stop by if you're in the area!

Listen, this sandwich is life changing! Trust the process, go in the store, awkwardly order, and awkwardly wait. You will not be disappointed. We got our sammy hot and it soothes all the days down-goings and beats any Les bons! The staff are welcoming and you can feel the love in this lil cramped corner store! A must stop in the French quarter!

If you didn't know any better, you'd walk right past this place thinking it's just another tiny hole-in-the-wall grocery shop at the edge of the French Quarter. But step inside, squeeze through cramped aisles, order at the counter, and prepare for a life-changing sandwich. I ordered the legendary "All That Jazz" and it lived up to every ounce of the hype. This is a generous-sized toasted sandwich that is absolutely packed to the brim. Every single ingredient is flavor-oozing, creating this messy, decadent, and perfectly seasoned harmony of ham, turkey, roast beef, and melted cheeses. The real star of the show - shrimps. You get a good amount of shrimps in every single bite, and they are grilled to perfection--not rubbery, just juicy and soaking up all that "Wow Sauce." It's take-out only, so grab your sandwich, walk a few blocks to the river or a nearby park bench, and enjoy. It's not fancy, it's not spacious, but it is hands-down one of the best things you will eat in New Orleans. Don't skip this one!

Came here to get the All That Sandwich at the recommendation of a friend. She warned us that the place looks sketchy but the sandwich will be worth the stop. She wasn't wrong. If you blink you'll miss the entrance and the store is wuite cramped. But that sandwich is packed with flavor. It's HUGE so my husband and I just shared one. We found a stoop a few blocks over so we could sit and eat since there isn't anywhere to do so at the store itself. I heard someone call in a delivery order while I was waiting to place my order at the front counter so good to know next time we are in town. Delivery is cash only but you can pay with card in store. The sandwich was messy but oh so good.

    Bryan R.

Had their 2 famous New Orleans sandwiches. PoBoy Meh & Muffuletta's Meh. Old cramp bodega location, in the French quarter, very sketchy sandwich maker, but friendly cashier. Ambiance of cleanliness leaves a lot to be desired. Open 24/7 so lots of street hustling action abound.

The very poor representation of the All That Jazz.

I'm a fan of Verti Marte and have been going here for quite a few years now. I'm not sure if my experience this evening was a result of the current theme of increased prices and decreased quantity/quality or something else, but something is definitely off. We ordered the half muffaletta, which I will say was absolutely excellent! One of the best muffaletta sandwiches I've tasted outside of Central Grocery. Definitely get it warm if you can because it is so tasty. My concern this evening though was with The AllThat jazz which is my favorite sandwich at Verti Marte. This evening it was more like 'All that humdrum' instead. It had about three shrimp on the whole sandwich and both ends of the sandwich had absolutely nothing on it - no meat, no sauce, no veg. It's like we got 2/3 of a turkey and ham sandwich with just a sprinkle of shrimp. It was a pitiful attempt at the usually great poboy. At $21 a sandwich, they gotta do better than this. The lady who took the order was extremely pleasant. She said the order would take about 15 minutes, but it took 30 instead. It would not have been so bad with the extra wait, but there was some confusion with the staff and the order. One person said that a delivery driver accidentally took it. Then the muffaletta came out cold instead of hot and when asked about correcting it, the Cook said to let him handle it and do his thing as if he was already handling it, which he wasn't. Anyway, the muffaletta was great, the All that Jazz was not... It'll probably be a while until I return again unfortunately.

Best Muffuletta! Ordered it warmed up and wow. Tiny little store making some great sandwiches. Ordered at the counter and waited for the order in the back. Still thinking about that slightly crispy bread and warm olive mix. Yum!

Verti Marte was super close to our hotel so we grabbed a sandwich to-go. We got the famous "All That Jazz" and a bag of Zapp's chips. The sandwich was extremely rich, saucy, and heavy. Honestly it was a little much and a tad too salty for me, but my husband liked it. I think it's good drunk people food. I returned to the mart on another day just to get a can of beer and some Chee Wees which we don't have back home. Good experience both times.

Do they take calls for a pickup order? Or do I have to go through the food apps?

    They take calls for orders!

Do they serve po'boys after 11 pm?

Do crawfish live in the swamp? You bet they do!!!

    Do they sell tshirts?

Green ones in stock now, baby blue will be next

Is proof of vaccination or negative COVID test required here?

They didn't ask when I went a couple weeks ago. I think because it's more like a small corner store with a deli counter in the back (no indoor or outdoor seating), they don't ask.

    What is the Muffuletta price?

    The original Muffuletta is $10.50!

Hi do y'all take credit card?

    Yes.

    Will they deliver to Marigny?

NO. They just a bodega. Maybe Grubhub or UberEats may help.

Can you order a half of the All that Jazz sandwich instead of a whole? I don't see it on the menu.

don't know.... but get the whole thing and have leftovers (so good to only have a 1/2)

Is there somewhere to sit down?

No. It’s a pretty tight corner store with a deli in the back. Take it go and find a stoop or bench. So worth it.

    Is anything vegan here?

Really not the place to go for vegans. Possibly some vegetarian options (menu changes daily) but there is going to butter and/or cheese in/on just about everything here. That's why it's SO good!

Does Verti Marte offer catering/ large format orders? I live out of town, but am throwing a party for about 60 folks in NOLA and would love to have their food for my guests.

Give them a call. I don't know how involved they would get in formal "catering", but providing food for that many people shouldn't be an issue

I would like to reiterate nothing was wrong with the food , great food purely with the lady taking orders. I got a classic half muffuletta and a "glass" San pellegrino. The lady then told me open glass is prohibited in New Orleans , I retorted with "o really I didn't know that , since when?" I feel like gate keeping (look it up old-timers), but I'm going to be generous because I love y'all. In order to skip the line, go to the bar area and find a high top or seat at the bar. A seat always opens up quickly. It never fails. You can order from the bartender and the service is top notch. Cheers y'all!

My 4 star rating might seem weird for a newly minted Michelin Bib Gourmand awarded restaurant..,…read morewhich category is for high quality food at great value. Which I 100% agree. Amazing food at a fair price. I can't rate the service as it is really go up to the counter and order and then pick the food up yourself... but the staff was amazing. The ambiance is great and unique, very nice I had the BBQ Shrimp Po-Boy and it was great. I can't say it blows away other Po-Boy shops. But, I can say it is a great Po-Boy, if that is what you're looking for... so, why the missing star ??? It's the fries , average at best. For a Michelin Bib Gourmand restaurant, I expect better. Fries are nothing special (IMO). While service was good, because they allow ordering food from the bar and because the bar is encountered before the regular ordering window... people tend to order there and make it difficult for people like me to obtain a second Mango Margarita. I did score a 2nd one, but I almost didn't... we need to figure out how to keep the drinkers happy
