As the saying goes, don't judge a book by it's cover! I'm expanding my Girley Girl Foodie Horizons by trying new restaurants! The BODEGA did not disappoint! The menu is limited, which I love because generally the quality and taste is better. I ordered the Cobb Salad and it was absolutely delicious The owner, Jared prepared my salad. He grills the chicken breast to order, the mixed greens are Spring Mix! I'm not an iceberg fan so I was happy! All of the toppings were colorful, crisp, and fresh! I requested red onions be added because what's a salad without it, right?! It's accompanied with a homemade dressing called the Bodega Vinaigrette. It's light and flavorful. The setting is Bodega style with grocery and specialty items to purchase. There's a small "kids station" with a kitchenette, plastic groceries, and action figures to keep your little one(s) entertained while dining in! I know parents worry about sterilization. There was an employee there cleaning this area and toys. The kitchen is open style so you can see your food being prepared while chatting with the chef. He's very kind, which is nice. I truly enjoyed my salad and will be returning again soon! I encourage you to check them out! Great small businesses thrive when you try them and share!

In an upstairs food court inside a small mall. You can easily miss it but worth the stop-in. Excellent breakfast burrito. Nice staff.

Everything was disrespectfully delicious. Every bite had us questioning our life choices in the best way. By the end of the meal, we were all sleepy and completely defeated by how good the food was. The staff was on point, courteous, and polite. Our food came out hot, fast, and perfectly plated with consistency that never misses. My only small complaint is that the sweet potato habanero sauce isn't as thick as it used to be. I'm a little annoyed about that, but it still tastes exactly the same Cochon Butcher remains one of those must visit New Orleans spots that never disappoints. Great food, great service, and a place I'll always adore.

Juicy, thick, and opulent. The pork patties were softer and lighter than their beef counterpart but equally tasty. The Cajun fried ribs were the best part! Bite sized flavor blasts of Norlins! The fried pork chops were well executed and crispy complimented by the bed of beans and rice. Overall, a great meal! Service: Accommodating, efficient, and fast. Waters will be filled quickly and readily. Ambiance: Vibes of a casual eatery with a seat yourself style akin to a BBQ or taproom.

However, I know wait times can be out the door so plan accordingly. We were dropped off by Uber, but in terms of parking, it's mainly street parking. Overall, the shop is pretty small. They have a handful of tables outside and more seating inside but it's not huge -- hence the longer lines. It's also quite eclectic with serving on plastic McDonald's plates and the music that was playing. We ordered: The ham sandwich, wedge salad, and a delicious pickle cocktail The ham sandwich had excellent flavor! I wish it had a but more ham on it, but overall the flavor was 10/10! The wedge salad had too much salad dressing. I LOVE blue cheese and blue cheese salad dressing but the lettuce to dressing ratio was off. Could have used less as I felt so much went to waste. The thick cut bacon on the salad was the exact salty touch it needed and the fresh dill was such a fresh touch. The pickle cocktail was delicious! I wish I would have ordered another one! It was slightly sweet, but also salty... SO good! Overall, I would highly recommend Turkey and the Wolf and totally stop by again if I were visiting New Orleans in the future.

Yes it's a small Italian deli and shop but it's also the home of the original muffuletta sandwich, opening in 1906. I hate olives, but I was converted by this sandwich. I…read morenever ever write reviews because I believe they hurt small businesses and feeds the egos of the ignorant, but that being said this place pissed me the fuck off with their service. I come to central deli whenever I'm with someone not from New Orleans due to the fact their muffuletta is quintessential! I would like to reiterate nothing was wrong with the food , great food purely with the lady taking orders. I got a classic half muffuletta and a "glass" San pellegrino. The lady then told me open glass is prohibited in New Orleans , I retorted with "o really I didn't know that , since when?" Before I could finish The lady then yelled with "SINCE FOREVER, IM SORRY YOUVE BEEN TO BAD BARS WHERE THEY SERVE YOU GLASS ITS BEEN ILLEGAL SINCE THE 50s" which isn't true the city changed the law in 2001. She then proceeded to open my glass bottle even though I told her I didn't want it open, so I the asked if I could get another one since she was in rage mode and didn't understand that she just contradicted herself. As I asked for the second San Pellegrino, she then takes the first one and goes "NO PROBLEM THANKS FOR THE FREE DRINK", and starts to drink the San Pellegrino infront of me as I check out, making thirst quenching noises like "AHH". As I leave she can't help but remind me for her free drink again. I'm pretty sure the management witness this whole situation and I hope they do something about, that lady doesn't realize what hospitality is and needs to be fired. I did nothing to her and I bet I wasn't the first she has blow up on. But in my eyes absolutely unacceptable.

I'm not an authority on poboys, but I've been told this is not really a traditional poboy and that it's more of a cross between poboy and bahn mi, with all the pickled vegetables. I know I love bahn mi, so I was sold. It's tucked away at the back of the bar, which is already pretty small. But the service was so friendly. I placed my order and then went to the front of the house to grab a frozen Irish coffee. There's one six people ish table and some small bar space in the Killer Poboys area, so I sat by the bar solo until my sandwich came out. I got the grilled shrimp poboy-- it reminded me a lot of the grilled shrimp sandwich from Num Pang, which is an NYC institution I miss dearly. But the bread is much softer and plentiful. The mayo and the overflowing pickled carrots makes it a messy experience. For Gulf shrimp, the fishy taste was almost nonexistent, a testament to the good seasoning and grilling. I wish we would all be so lucky to have late night bar eats like this.

If you read…read morethe whole review I'll give you the best tip on how to skip the line (insert shushing emoji) and don't cheat by skipping to the end! Hands down, the best po'boys in all of NOLA. Everything is made from scratch (except the bread, which they source locally), and you really can't go wrong with anything on the menu. My personal favorites are the Surf & Turf and the James Brown. The Surf & Turf gives you get the best of both worlds (shout out to Hannah Montana). Look it up kids. You get the slow-cooked roast beef with gravy plus fresh Gulf shrimp. Shut the front door! The James Brown is just as incredible: juicy BBQ beef, pepper jack cheese, fried shrimp, and a hot sauce mayo. Bring napkins - you'll need them. Pro tip: go with a group and order a few different po'boys to share. You'll want to try everything. You made it to the end, so here we go. I feel like gate keeping (look it up old-timers), but I'm going to be generous because I love y'all. In order to skip the line, go to the bar area and find a high top or seat at the bar. A seat always opens up quickly. It never fails. You can order from the bartender and the service is top notch. Cheers y'all!
