Won't visit this restaurant until the cook get lessons and the staff check their attitudes. It's been awhile since I visited this restaurant. Before the food and staff was amazing. How the food is absolutely HORRIBLE. The meatballs and spaghetti tasted gross. The meatballs were over processed. And I don't know what the hack was in those green beans. I have never tasted nothing this horrible ever before. They have definitely lost me.

This was the first time I've been in here, and the service was amazing. The woman who helped me was so nice. The shop was clean and well organized. I ordered a large shrimp PoBoy, and it was the best one I've had so far. I will be back for the shrimp plater, and the beef sandwich that was recommended to me.

Your average Cajun hole in the wall. Decent tasting lunch specials and other meals, larger than average portions at a decent price. The staff is super welcoming, friendly, and helpful. The inside was clean as well which is a plus during these times. Nothing special about the place but also nothing bad that stands out. I wouldn't travel far distances to come here but if you are in the area and looking for a typical Cajun lunch special with decent portions, come give it a shot!

    Fried oyster on white toast.

Good food, good service, reasonable prices, and family friendly atmosphere. I got a fried oyster on white toast. The oysters were great and fried to perfection. The bread was toasted just right.

This place is ok. It's a like in hole the wall place. Looks like a neighborhood convienience store. Food is alright; a bit pricey for what they serve. We order a 12 inch shrimp poboy and large cheese fries to split. The cook behind the counter was nice enough to serve the poboys on seperate plates. The cheese fries was a very big portion. We only ate a third of that. My boyfriend didnt like that the poboy was served on sesame covered french bread. I didnt mind it too much. The shrimp were nice sized but this was definitely NOT overstuffed. The lettuce and tomato were shredded and diced and sparce. It just really wasnt anything worth bragging about. It was just... ok. We left out of there full but not satisfied. We contemplated on what better options we had with the money we just wasted on this place. We couldve split a kobe beef burger at cheesecake factory for probably the same price. Im not even crazy for cheesecake factory's atmosphere. Well, lesson learned. Always gonna be hit or miss when trying new places. I always have high hopes for small mom and pop businesses but for the most part this was somewhat of a let down.

Just passing through and decided to try a local deli instead of Burger King.... great service, quick, and DELICIOUS!!!

Great sandwiches at value prices. You can't bet the roast beef "overstuffed" poboy! I like to get a side of gravy for my fries.

Guys, it was THE BEST CHICKEN SANDWICH I'D EVER HAD. It was lava hot, juicy, and greasy. It was also absolutely delicious. I was concerned that the thigh meat was going to taste different. But I could not tell. The fries were crinkle cut, but were seasoned well. Didn't even need ketchup for them. The place is very clean and they had 80s music playing in the background, my favorite decade of music. Not surprising, being an 80s kid. The damage all told, including a tip, was $25. Is it expensive? Yes. Is the quality and quantity of the food commensurate to the price? Also yes. Is it worth the hype? ABSOLUTELY YES. I was also informed there's a Hammond location. I will definitely bring my family there, as it's closer, to try them out as well.

We went to the restaurant in New Orleans (Metairie). It is off Veterans Blvd. It is on the right side as you are driving east. Please be on the lookout. Otherwise, you might pass it by. Tends to spring up and drive by. We almost missed it. This is a fantastic location! Kinda tight and almost missed it. Parking is very limited. If you get discouraged you cannot find a good parking spot. I believe you may park on back street? Do not hold me to that. Worst case, you can always get your order to go. It was our first time. We were curious about and not many restaurants offer fresh made pork cracklings. Usually you have to buy it at a local market or know someone. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They briefly went over a few recommendations. We started with of course, order of adobo fresh pork cracklings. Adobo or traditional** crispy pork belly, adobo sauce, topped with garlic peanut rub Southerns Queso burger - 6 oz. beef patty*, pickled jalapeño, queso, beer battered onion ring with order of fries. Tender meal - Choose your spice level. 3 jumbo chicken tenders, fries, and tender sauce. (Mild) Southerns Original Chicken Sandwich - Choose your spice level. Boneless chicken thigh, Yuzu aioli, slaw, housemade pickle. (Mild) I was curious about the Phuket Sauce. So I got an order too. This tastes great! Not spicy at all. Do not let the pepper fool you. It has a little kick but not spicy at all. All are well seasoned. Few of them you can choose your spice level. We all washed down with fountain drinks. They do offer catering services and possibly call ahead ordering. Please reach out to them for options. If you are in the mood for something different but great food. Give them a try if in the area.

My MIL brought me here for the first time in '93 and she and her friends still come for lunch a few times a month as do most people who've lived here their whole life. Parking is tight but don't let that keep you away from the World. Yesterday, I went in for meatballs and red sauce but quickly took a detour when I saw the daily special, Crawfish Monica. If you're visiting for the first time, crawfish or shrimp Monica is a local favorite that's getting harder to find on restaurant menus partly because every family has their own version of this special party dish. The Monica special was outstanding. I got a plate full of spicy crawfish cream sauce mixed with rotini pasta, a side of spiced corn and garlic bread, enough for lunch and a midnight snack. I also couldn't pass up the shrimp remoulade salad for my lunch the next day. The shrimp were seasoned, the romaine greens were fresh, and the remoulade dressing was a knockout. If you're not feeling like a hot plate special, World Deli has a big list of sandwiches and poboys that are super popular, as well. But whatever you decide, don't skip out on dessert. This is one of the few local sandwich spots with a homemade dessert menu as big as the sandwich one and these desserts cater to the local palate. Yesterday they had plain cheesecake, cheesecake with cherry sauce, Tuscan cream cake, rum cake, pineapple upside down cake, wedding cake, pralines, and tiramisu. Don't ever pass up the rum cake in Louisiana. If you're in town for the weekend and have access to a fridge, buy some spinach artichoke dip and crab stuffed mushrooms from the ready-prep fridge for a late night snack. This place is the real deal. Stop in and see where y'at.
