We had an early Saturday dinner at 4pm. We had a little bit of a line going inside, but was seated shortly after arriving. The waiter name was Michael. Hands-down the best service ever. He was attentive and had great recommendations. The food was excellent. We had the fried zucchini. It is thinly sliced, with a lite egg wash and breading. The horseradish sauce complemented it nicely. We had a soup option and got the New England Clam Chowder. It was a bowl and could have been its own meal. The main course was a fettuccine alfredo and added chicken. It had a creamy sauce with two grilled breast on top. We ordered Tiramisu and cannolis. Those were delicious. The food as a whole was well worth the price. The ambiance was classic but not formal. It was a great meal and can't wait to return. read more

Went on a Saturday dinner night. The Greens and Beans with Italian sausage appetizer is delicious. For the main course, the stuffed salmon with crab meat was perfect. The hand made ravioli with meat sauce was expertly flavored. For dessert the pecan roll ice cream with warm butterscotch and chocolate fudge was decadent, and the cinnamon cheesecake was the perfect ending for this Italian meal. This was a great choice a few years ago for good home made Italian food. Our past two visits however were unremarkable. The veal parm was average tasting and was somewhat dry. We enjoyed the fried zucchini, but did not appreciate having to pay extra for marinara sauce. The service last time was rushed and just ok. Went to Franco's yesterday and once again had a very nice and tasty dinner. We had those grilled tomatoes covered with Gorgonzola cheese on top of a salad of greens. I ate here in a private room a while back with a party of about 10. The food was great. I loved the fried calamari and for my entree I had the shrimp romano. I did not like the side of polenta I ordered though. Service was kind of a miss. Our server must've been flustered with her other tables. She seemed dismissive and would pop in the room and then leave before anyone could ask her for something. Also, the doors to the private room do not stay closed which was kind of annoying. No matter how many times someone got up to close them so we could have our dinner meeting, they would gradually swing open again and it was too loud to talk. Our server also told us that if we were paying separate (we were and I said that as soon as we got there) that it had to be cash. Most of us didn't have cash. Then she said well we prefer cash because it's easier. If that's the case, then it needs to be communicated to the customer over the phone when booking a large party. read more

Wow.. how have I lived in the area so long and never been here? I can't remember the last time I went to a restaurant and couldn't decide on what to order because everything looked SO GREAT. in addition to the super fresh food- the wine was a large portion, and was super cold (yelp 5 star). The waitstaff was kind, and on top of everything. Prices are low compared to other similar restaurants in the area, portions are much larger.. and entrees come with a side and soup/salad. You get your money's worth! We sat outside on the patio and it was great. I would highly recommend this restaurant!!!! read more

No exaggeration, this is some of the best Italian food around! We visited for a late lunch and were one of only a handful of tables at the time. The hostess and server were extremely friendly and attentive. The fried zucchini appetizer is a must! It is served piled high, with a light and crispy breading. For my main meal, I had a cup of the chicken pastina soup (seriously delicious!) and the chicken piccata. It was a very large serving, and the leftovers tasted just as yummy the next day. We took my mom here for her 70th birthday. I made a reservation for a Saturday at 6pm about two weeks in advance. On the actual day they were completely sold out with reservation and walk ins. We got the fried zucchini appetizer for the table. My meal was the crab cakes with a side of pasta and a side salad to start. I will say by the time my food came I was getting full and taking one crab cake and last home! The portions are very generous and they haven't cut back on bread for the table like some restaurants have. And then the food! AUTHENTIC old school Italian in an upscale urban setting! Checked all the boxes for a great experience. Had the Arancini appetizer - delicious. Had lobster bisque - very good. A very generous portion - I had to take half home to save room for main course - and the waiter topped off my soup in the to go container! I had the gnocchi with meatballs. We were there with our entire family tonight. We have been there several times before and always thought the food was impeccable. Not so tonight! The food was good but did not compare to past experiences. However the service still remained good. I think we'll take a hiatus from this restaurant until we hear some positive feedback from this restaurant from other friends that frequent it. This review is 3.5 stars. I ordered their Franco salad. It's a big salad with lobster, shrimp, tomatoes w/ fresh mozzarella, and many other accompaniments. See photo. It was good but the tomatoes were not really ripe enough which was a bummer since they are such a big part of the dish. I also didn't love the olives they used and I do love olives. The interior is very nice and they have a bar where you could sit and eat. I would go back to try something else. It was very busy when I was there and the service was pretty good. read more
