It is a gem within the town of Cuddy! Beautiful inside & new / fresh tables and chairs. You can BYOB or order off the menu The service was fast. And we loved the pastas. Super yummy. And the chicken was so fresh.

We were looking for Italian tonight and stumbled upon this new place in South Fayette . We started off with beans and greens .. good, different because there was Kale in it , then the special was chicken scarparella and I had chicken picatta .. both delicious and chicken dishes come with a side of pasta (bigger than typical ) . I added a nice size side salad for $5.. our waitress seemed new but trying hard to make sure all was good.. we will be back for sure !! We ordered drinks here but may do BYOB next time with $10 corking fee.

    Penne à la vodka sauce

We were first time diners at Ava Mae's and we had a wonderful dinner. Our server was delightful and the food delicious and very plentiful. My wife had tomato vodka penne, which had lots of sauce with a slight spicy tang I had the pasta Bolognese, which was meatier than usual and delicious. To top it off the tiramisu was one of the best we've had and we've eaten it all through the city. While the ambience is informal, it is a friendly vibe and we will certainly be back.

Unfortunately, the ground beef "Philly cheesesteak" sandwiches were greasy and the square pizza was dry.

Although the tables are spaced pretty tight, but the patrons are very considerate. Service - Our server was friendly, attentive and helpful. Food - come for the wine and stay for the food. The wine menu is deep and broad with plenty of quality wines to suit your preferences. The food menu is very limited with regard entrees (3 pasta choices), but their pasta is very good. There are ample options for small plates and appetizers. I ordered the Spaghetti ala Vodka. Overall - even if you are not a fan of wine, this restaurant should be on your list to frequent. The food, service, portions and prices are all very good.

There is inside and outside seating as well as some bar seating. The decor and atmosphere are interesting. Our server was super friendly and reminded us happy hour was over in 10 minutes, so we quickly looked at the drink menu and ordered. They have lots of drinks!!!! I settled on a lemon blueberry martini and it was good. The food menu is very limited, but being that Italian is my favorite, I was a happy camper. 4 of us shared the arancini, which was not my favorite. I order this often when I am out and this one was dry and I didn't care for the prosciutto and cheese in the middle. For my entree, I settled on the spaghetti and meatballs which arrived steaming hot which I love. There were 3 huge meatballs which had a nice little spice to them. The sauce was good and the portion size was perfect. No room for dessert. Overall, a good evening

First thing that happened was being reprimanded by the hostess for having 9 people and the reservation was for 8. 2nd thing, it was very warm inside, so we requested to be outside, which was wonderful! Our waitress was amazing. My BIGGEST complaint was the serving size! I ordered gnocchi; they were delicious. However, I had approximately 12 gnocchi!! And it cost $25.00!! There was not enough food to justify the price. Thank God there was bread or I would have left extremely hungry and I am not a big eater. And the fact that everything is extra is very discouraging. $12 for a salad, $15 to add a chicken breast. That is outrageous. Im sorry but I will not be going back any time soon.....

I found the beans in the beans and greens to be gritty; apparently they are unsoaked dried beans, and that's the way chef likes it. It was edible, but I prefer a smoother, softer texture. We enjoyed our experience so much that we came back after the show to the bakery side, where we devoured a slice of blueberry pie with blueberry ice cream on top. Street parking (free on Sunday), and I believe there is a nearby lot. Gender-segregatwd restrooms. We are already planning to come back with friends! 4.5 stars rounded up to 5.

We were warmly greeted by Todd and Gina, the owners, who couldn't have been friendlier. Todd told us all about their wines, including the awards they've won, especially in California, and generously offered us the chance to try any of the wines at no cost. We started with the Gruner Veltliner, a bright, citrusy, and crisp wine. It was extremely dry compared to other Gruners we've had, which are usually more fruit-forward, but it was still quite enjoyable. Next, we tried the Riesling, which was also very good. My wife moved over to the semi-sweet side and tried the Traminette, which I eventually sampled after trying all the dry wines. We both really liked it. I then tried the Cabernet Franc, which was a medium-bodied wine with notes of raspberry, blueberry, and a light mocha oakiness--delicious! The Chambourcin was also quite good, without the typical bite or tartness. Lastly, the Flagship Red, a classic Bordeaux-style dry red, had a pleasant hint of pepper and was definitely a standout. Todd shared that they exclusively offer wines from Stony Run Vineyards in Breinigsville, PA, which has a wide selection. They're also planning to offer Old Fashioneds soon, as their winery includes a distillery, and they'll be featuring a "drink of the week" as well. What really sets this place apart, though, is Todd and Gina themselves. They're genuinely kind people who are dedicated to the community, and it was heartwarming to learn that they both served in the US Military--Todd in the Navy and Gina in the Air Force. We're already looking forward to our next visit when we're in the area again. Don't forget to thank them for their service when you stop by!
