Grilled Chicken Salad, comes with garlic bread.

A hidden gem located a few miles outside Southpointe PA. Great spot for quick lunch or dinner. Frankie, owner, is always in the back cooking away. Welcoming atmosphere, Frankie and his staff recognizes familiar faces. Always enjoy coming back. Takeout or eat in joint. They also do delivery. Never had an issue with seating, but there are 4 tables max. Menu is mostly Italian, but there are hoagies and salads if you are not in the mood for carb loading. They also have fish specials during the Lenten season. I am a big fan of the meatball sandwich for lunch. Frankie's marinara is excellent! Hard to find places like this.

Chicken Parm with pasta (pink sauce on the pasta)

Yummy food and portions were huge!! My lasagna could have fed 3 people Chicken parm was delicious -ordered it with a pink sauce on the pasta and marinara on the chicken We came from California and so happy we found this place

Pizza was pretty darn good. Also got the breadsticks with cheese. They were lacking flavor, it was literally was just pizza dough and melted cheese, no garlic, oregano, etc. would have liked some garlic sauce on the side too. The worst thing we had the cinnamon sticks. There was hardly any cinnamon on them, they looked exactly like the cheesy breadsticks just plain. Definitely needed a lot more cinnamon, and sugar on them to be worth getting them. We would order pizza again from Frankie's but not the other stuff.

Jump on their website and call-in your order or walk in and say ciao amici!

I ordered a large pepperoni pizza and the taste was truly, absolutely horrific. I never in my life,…read morehave ever tasted a glycerol, oil like, chemical flavor on my pallet from a simple bite of pizza, like the pizza I had at this restaurant. He's putting some type of artificial fat, additive, or extremely low cost/ quality ingredient (cheese) into his pizza that makes the product almost inedible. It tasted like he put a stale synthetic vegetable oil based popcorn butter (that has no salty taste or popcorn flavor) with a tannic, and bitter flavor in the sauce or on the dough during cooking. To this day, I question, how he even managed to do that and it gives me chills just to think about it. Actually, I should rate this review higher. As a person that appreciates and enjoys good food you can make at home or get from a quality restaurant; I am truly impressed that this business produced a pizza that tasted like literal garbage. The pizza from this business is situated below the economic rock bottom for quality of Dominos and boarding on what a raccoon would question as a midnight snack. Mind you, this was the first time I ate two pieces of a pizza, and threw the entire remaining pie in the trash. I would rate this lower than a restaurant that served me 8 month old freezer burned ribs. I wish I had the vocabulary to describe that what I was served and ate, "didn't taste like food." Something that I also need to mention is that his business does not take any form of electronic payment, only cash or "personal checks." If you can't understand the owner's rambling at the end of the call when placing the order, he wants you, when you arrive to pick up your order, to walk or drive across the street to a gas station, to pay a fee and withdrawal money from an ATM machine and walk/ drive back over to pay for your "gruel." An expectation that 90% of his potential market is not expecting. Is this why they have such great reviews, are people just infatuated with a business that only takes cash? I'd rather eat boot leather boiled in a quality chicken broth, served by a bum in the street, over my experience with this restaurant and the food I was served. Something has to change here. NOTHING about this restaurant is sustainable or good. I would rate it lower, if I could. Advice to the owner: Make a quality product or turn the key and close down shop, Fucking disgusting.

We were staying in Southpointe and this establishment came up as a nearby option. We had three of the grandkids with us along with our son. Two of the grandkids are picky eaters, but pasta and pizza often do the trick in a situation like this. Hence, Italian fare fit the bill quite nicely. Located in a small complex sharing a driveway with a daycare, a bakery and a couple of other businesses, this place was otherwise located in a very quiet neighborhood. It was not hard to find with GPS, but was one of those places that surprised you when it came up because there was little other commercial activity around it. The storefront was simple. The dining area was moderate in size and seemed to be sectioned in two parts. They also apparently have a seasonal patio which was not being used that evening as far as I could tell. It was an hour before close when we walked in on a Saturday evening. It was not terribly busy, and thus we were seated right away. Our server, Sarah, did a great job. She was engaging without being intrusive and made sure we had what we needed. The menu featured several Italian favorites as one would expect at a place like this. The kid's menu featured a cheese pizza and a penne pasta with a meatball that worked well for the two picky eaters. Our son suggested that the three adults split a Greek Salad and a pizza to conserve on costs. This sounded good to us and we made what turned out to be a great choice with the medium Italian Steak Pizza. It was very tasty and this amount of food was enough to satisfy everyone. The youngest grandchild was able to share the pasta with her sister (and they still did not eat it all) further conserving cost (and food). We did end up getting dessert since we offered it to our grandson. He opted for the Zeppole, which was fried pizza dough drizzled with honey and sprinkled with powdered sugar. They were almost like donut holes. This option was nicely shareable and allowed for moderate consumption. We took four or five pieces back to the room with us for later. It was a nice finish. Our final bill was $89 including food, drink, tax and tip. At just under $30 per adult (ignoring the kids in this equation), that was not bad. Considering three kids were also fed, that's a really good deal. If we're in the area again, we'll certainly consider making a return visit.

Owner came to our table twice to let us know he didn't agree with us and was very confrontational. He said we were happy to "waste food" (I would argue that we would not waste it if it was made properly) so I handed him my card and told him I would pay but we were going to leave because of how he was acting. We walked to the counter and he threw my credit card at me and told us to leave. He then started walking towards my wife and when I told him to stop talking to her, he stepped towards me and followed us into the parking lot. Told us he didn't care because we only spent "a little bit of money" here (my credit card would disagree considering we are there multiple times per week and also have used them for catering twice). I genuinely thought he was going to try to hit me so I got my family out of there. There were a lot of people in there, so I am sure many saw it. Disappointing and unbelievable how he acted towards people who are pretty loyal to the place. Only had three issues in four years. Following us to the parking lot scared my kid. Never seen anything like it. I never post a review, but feel this is warranted.

We shared a zucchini planks appetizer-they were huge, hot and crispy- the marinara was so good I could have eaten a bowl of it with a spoon! I had the Spinach Salad-I hadn't had one in ages and it was delicious. The hot bacon dressing really made the dish. My niece had Chicken Parm with spaghetti- it was a huge portion and enough for two meals. I ordered a steak hoagie and a quart of wedding soup to take home. There's no scrimping on the amount of meat in the hoagie and the wedding soup is full of shredded chicken. We enjoyed chatting and catching up in the cosy dining room, tunes from the past playing in the background. It made for a wonderful afternoon of great food and fun. I can't wait to go back and have more of that delicious marinara!!
