The food was absolutely delicious!! My nephew Dante and I went for an early dinner. For appetizers, we got meatballs Parmesan and beans and greens. We each got a house salad, which was big enough to be an entree. Dante got gnocchi which was serv ed with burrata and Italian sausage. Dante got one glass of red wine, and I got one glass of Concorde grape cider. The bill was over $100, which is a little too rich for my blood I must say. However, I can't regret the meal. It was fantastic!

Located in a "Main Street" business strip in Southpointe commercial park, there is limited shared parallel street parking out front. Its typical Italian menu offers salads, pasta, pizza options. Our server, Jordan was knowledgeable and experienced. Our group of 6 adults had a whole separate dining room to ourselves on a Monday evening in January. We started with the complimentary bread and olive oil. Our entrees came out in the appropriate amount of time and were enjoyed by all. I would eat here again if in the area.

I went to Toscana brick oven for dinner on Saturday night. We got reservations and I'm glad we did because they were packed. The vibe was like nice casual if that makes sense lol! The waitress was so nice, probably one of the nicest waitresses I have ever had. I got the chianti to drink and it was so good!! The table bread was really good as well, very fluffy. For my food I ordered the prosciutto pest pizza. The pizza was so tasty and really unique. It had pesto as the base of the pizza instead of the typical marinara sauce and I loved that! Also, the prosciutto was cut into small pieces instead of just a giant slab like most places do. They also roasted it a little bit, so yummy!! If you live nearby you definitely need to check them out!

As much as I wanted to love this place it just didn't work out. We planned to have dinner here with a couple of friends of ours and everything just seemed to fall short. I started out with the pomegranate cranberry martini. It literally tasted like cough syrup. We ordered the zucchini fries for the table which was pretty much the only thing that we enjoyed. They were cooked perfectly and had a delightful dipping sauce served along with it. They serve you complimentary bread along with a dipping oil. The bread was good, but the dipping oil was not the best. Just didn't have a good taste to it. Since I was disappointed with my martini I ordered another drink in hopes that I would like it better. It actually ended up being worse. I thought it would be pretty hard to ruin a greygoose with cranberry, boy was I wrong. I felt like I was drinking straight vodka. While I'm not one to complain about a stiff drink, this one resulted in several uncontrollable facial expressions with each sip. I gave up after my two attempts to be served a good drink. For my entree I decided to go with the Toscana meatballs thinking that they would be delicious in this Italian restaurant. Sadly I was wrong yet again. While the presentation was nice, the meatballs were not cooked through in the middle. They were very gummy and bland. The pasta seemed to be fresh but also was very bland. I do want to mention that our waiter was very good, hence the reason why I gave this place the 2 stars. If it wasn't for him I would have rated it 1 star. All in all this place was a big disappointment. It had a great atmosphere and potential but definitely fell short.

We were staying in Southpointe and this establishment came up as a nearby option. We had three of the grandkids with us along with our son. Two of the grandkids are picky eaters, but pasta and pizza often do the trick in a situation like this. Hence, Italian fare fit the bill quite nicely. Located in a small complex sharing a driveway with a daycare, a bakery and a couple of other businesses, this place was otherwise located in a very quiet neighborhood. It was not hard to find with GPS, but was one of those places that surprised you when it came up because there was little other commercial activity around it. The storefront was simple. The dining area was moderate in size and seemed to be sectioned in two parts. They also apparently have a seasonal patio which was not being used that evening as far as I could tell. It was an hour before close when we walked in on a Saturday evening. It was not terribly busy, and thus we were seated right away. Our server, Sarah, did a great job. She was engaging without being intrusive and made sure we had what we needed. The menu featured several Italian favorites as one would expect at a place like this. The kid's menu featured a cheese pizza and a penne pasta with a meatball that worked well for the two picky eaters. Our son suggested that the three adults split a Greek Salad and a pizza to conserve on costs. This sounded good to us and we made what turned out to be a great choice with the medium Italian Steak Pizza. It was very tasty and this amount of food was enough to satisfy everyone. The youngest grandchild was able to share the pasta with her sister (and they still did not eat it all) further conserving cost (and food). We did end up getting dessert since we offered it to our grandson. He opted for the Zeppole, which was fried pizza dough drizzled with honey and sprinkled with powdered sugar. They were almost like donut holes. This option was nicely shareable and allowed for moderate consumption. We took four or five pieces back to the room with us for later. It was a nice finish. Our final bill was $89 including food, drink, tax and tip. At just under $30 per adult (ignoring the kids in this equation), that was not bad. Considering three kids were also fed, that's a really good deal. If we're in the area again, we'll certainly consider making a return visit.

Owner came to our table twice to let us know he didn't agree with us and was very confrontational. He said we were happy to "waste food" (I would argue that we would not waste it if it was made properly) so I handed him my card and told him I would pay but we were going to leave because of how he was acting. We walked to the counter and he threw my credit card at me and told us to leave. He then started walking towards my wife and when I told him to stop talking to her, he stepped towards me and followed us into the parking lot. Told us he didn't care because we only spent "a little bit of money" here (my credit card would disagree considering we are there multiple times per week and also have used them for catering twice). I genuinely thought he was going to try to hit me so I got my family out of there. There were a lot of people in there, so I am sure many saw it. Disappointing and unbelievable how he acted towards people who are pretty loyal to the place. Only had three issues in four years. Following us to the parking lot scared my kid. Never seen anything like it. I never post a review, but feel this is warranted.

I'll post a photo of the menu, but here are some of my thoughts: Turkey - so delicious Mashed potatoes - perfection Stuffing - I loved it but the kids didn't. Rolls and butter - literally such delicious butter! Apple pies - they were more like empanadas. I was expecting mini round pies. The crust was amazing but the apples were a bit tart. Our waitress Ellie was attentive, patient, and helpful for our party of 9. She was even willing to give some of the guests tea bags from her own stash! Our group of 9 tried almost everything on the menu. They have a small menu with a few appetizers and main courses along with some desserts. Because we were a larger group, at least one of us got something on the menu. We also shared, so I tried many of the dishes! They gave us an amuse bouche, which was aracini with caramelized onions and peppers. DELICIOUS. I wanted more. We also got foccacia with an oil dipping sauce. The focaccia was denser than usual, but I loved it! Here's what we tried: [Sausage Greens & Beans]: A traditional Italian dish that was absolutely delicious. There was so much flavor between the panchetta, beans, escarole, and sausage. This dish was out of my comfort zone but so delightful. [Crispy Brussel Sprouts]: Man! These were good. They were perfectly charred and paired with a spicy sauce that took this dish to the next level. [Wedding Soup]: A little non-traditional since their noodles were much larger, but I loved the denser meatballs. [Caesar Salad]: My husband loved this dish! The croutons made the dish extra, and it was well dressed and slightly lemony. [Warm Mushroom Salad]: I hate mushrooms but I loved this. The rosemary smoked mushrooms were the star of this dish. [Shrimp Risotto]: This was so creamy and flavorful! [Chicken Marsala]: This dish was out of this world! The rosemary smoked mushrooms gave this dish a perfectly smokey flavored. The chicken was stuffed and accompanied with lyonnaise potatoes that were so crispy and delicious. [Roasted Veggie Rolled Lasagna]: Wow was this dish flavorful. The variety of vegetables were perfect, and the roaster red pepper ricotta in the middle was just what this dish needed. [Apples, Peaches, Pumpkin Pie]: This was the perfect fall dessert. Apple turnovers, peaches, and pumpkin pie mousse. The perfection portion and not overly sweet! This restaurant made it to my top 5, and it was so delicious. All of the flavors were so complex! You need to try this restaurant or you'll really be missing out! I cannot wait to try more items on their menus as their specials and menu changes. Such a hidden gem!

The calamari you see in the picture was heavily breaded and the oil it was deep-fried in was old, so it clumped everything together, and you got more of a burnt breaded taste than the ability to taste the calamari not good at all. I had the pasta Primavera that was cooked perfect and the spices were out of this world. It had some heat. I had their tomato salad with hot peppers and anchovies. The salad was good. My critique on this would be the tomatoes they weren't ripe and juicy as described in the menu. Would I go back yes but it wouldn't be my top priority, but worth a try.
