It was a nice day so we sat outside. There was a fountain and umbrellas to help block the sun. The service was quick and the server was very nice! We ordered the Zucchini ribbons and they look amazing. Unfortunately they could use some seasoning. The sauce it came with couldn't completely save them. The insides were a tad soggy as well. I wouldn't order this one again. The chicken entree was very good. It's a lemon Alfredo dish with breaded chicken breast. The sauce was flavorful and the chicken was also flavorful. We would order this again. The pizza was really good. It had roasted tomatoes spicy vodka sauce spinach and whipped goat cheese. The goat cheese was really good. The crust is thin and crispy, yet still airy. Very filling for the size. I will definitely be trying more of the pizzas. read more

3.5 A Nice Take on Italian Food. I stopped into Toscana Brick Oven for dinner on a Saturday night. It had been raining on and off all day, and I decided to eat inside at a booth in the bar area. Toscana serves up brick oven pizzas as well as Italian and American Classics. I ordered a favourite of mine to start, Italian Wedding Soup, which was very good and full of flavour. The meal also came with complimentary bread with herbed Olive oil. My main course that night was Toscana's take on Bolognese made with Beef and sausage ragu over pappardelle pasta. The Bolognese was very well made, and the pasta was cooked to perfection. The portion size was very large and filling. I washed my dinner down with a nice glass of Italian Wine. The service was great, and I had a good meal in a nice place. The only problem I had was that I accidentally left my credit card in the bill envelope by mistake as I was leaving the restaurant. I didn't discover my card was missing until the next day. I called and left voice messages, sent an email, and left messages on their socials. No one responded on Sunday; they are closed on Sundays. I waited until midday Monday, and still no response. I went to the back of the restaurant on Monday afternoon, and one of the kitchen staff prepping for Monday's service went and found my card and gave it back to me. So if this happens to you,m be warned: you will get no response. Aside from that, the food and the meal were very good. read more

We did a team dinner at Toscano Brick Oven after playing a game at the SouthPoint Field House. This restaurant is located in the SouthPoint complex. The service was really good. We had a group of about 30. The servers were very attentive to our group needs. Fresh bread and oil was first brought to the tables. I ordered the margherita pizza and my son did as well. I had cauliflower crust and my son had the regular crust. My wife had greens and beans as her meal. We enjoyed everything. read more

Overall, a very good experience! Other than a minor glitch in my order, we had a great meal. Six of us on a hot summer's night, celebrating a birthday. The food was absolutely delicious!! My nephew Dante and I went for an early dinner. For appetizers, we got meatballs Parmesan and beans and greens. We each got a house salad, which was big enough to be an entree. Dante got gnocchi which was serv ed with burrata and Italian sausage. Dante got one glass of red wine, and I got one glass of Concorde grape cider. The bill was over $100, which is a little too rich for my blood I must say. However, I can't regret the meal. Our server, Jordan was knowledgeable and experienced. Our group of 6 adults had a whole separate dining room to ourselves on a Monday evening in January. I went to Toscana brick oven for dinner on Saturday night. We got reservations and I'm glad we did because they were packed. The vibe was like nice casual if that makes sense lol! The waitress was so nice, probably one of the nicest waitresses I have ever had. I got the chianti to drink and it was so good!! The table bread was really good as well, very fluffy. For my food I ordered the prosciutto pest pizza. The pizza was so tasty and really unique. It had pesto as the base of the pizza instead of the typical marinara sauce and I loved that! Also, the prosciutto was cut into small pieces instead of just a giant slab like most places do. They also roasted it a little bit, so yummy!! First time to visit . Did not have a reservation, but were able to be seated immediately. Our server , Samantha O ( "Sam") was super! She made great recommendations, including Bolognese over Pappardelle (25.99) and the Eggplant Napoleon (26.99). Both dishes were very tasty. The reason for a four-star versus a five-star review was the serving size on the eggplant ( maybe a 6" by 3" thin crispy strip of battered eggplant layered w yummy filling ) resting on red sauce - period. So, if you have an appetite, this may not fill you up. Note, you do get fresh bread and dipping oil that is served while waiting for order. No salad or side included with entrée. That being said, I feel that 25.99 and 26.99 = overpriced. The " spice is nice" martini was very tasty and nicely priced at 9.99 ! so from a price standpoint, the reasonable drink prices made up a little bit for the overpriced entrée. we will return and we will request Sam, it was a very enjoyable visit. read more

We didn't have a reservation but they were able to seat us in one of the extra rooms - which we had all to ourselves for a while. First time there. Nice place and staff. First the place was VERY noisy. No consideration was given to all the hard surfaces during the design. Noise bouncing everywhere. Had the breaded zucchini appetizer. It was a little soggy but the sauce with it was excellent. six of us and all entrees were great. Service was great also. As much as I wanted to love this place it just didn't work out. We planned to have dinner here with a couple of friends of ours and everything just seemed to fall short. I started out with the pomegranate cranberry martini. It literally tasted like cough syrup. We ordered the zucchini fries for the table which was pretty much the only thing that we enjoyed. They were cooked perfectly and had a delightful dipping sauce served along with it. They serve you complimentary bread along with a dipping oil. The bread was good, but the dipping oil was not the best. Just didn't have a good taste to it. Since I was disappointed with my martini I ordered another drink in hopes that I would like it better. It actually ended up being worse. I thought it would be pretty hard to ruin a greygoose with cranberry, boy was I wrong. I felt like I was drinking straight vodka. While I'm not one to complain about a stiff drink, this one resulted in several uncontrollable facial expressions with each sip. I gave up after my two attempts to be served a good drink. For my entree I decided to go with the Toscana meatballs thinking that they would be delicious in this Italian restaurant. Sadly I was wrong yet again. While the presentation was nice, the meatballs were not cooked through in the middle. They were very gummy and bland. The pasta seemed to be fresh but also was very bland. I do want to mention that our waiter was very good, hence the reason why I gave this place the 2 stars. If it wasn't for him I would have rated it 1 star. Yelp menu prices are off; lasagna on yelp $16 website $27. They have up their prices. Also if you use a credit card they add a 3.5% service charge. Upside they give a 3.5% discount with cash. This is a nice place to eat. I would suggest a reservation for parties more than 2. Waite staff are excellent. Food is okay but overpriced. Ambiance is pleasant; except for all the signs concerning the 3.5% service charge that is a bit insulting. I used to recommend this place but not anymore for two reason. 1) Their obsession with that service charge 2) New menu items have not been stellar. read more

I absolutely love this place, me, the hubby and the kids save our appetite for when we go. The apps are to DIE for, the pasta is always perfect and don't get me started on the desserts. Not a fan of salmon but I've heard very good things about it. The staff is always so nice. The last time we were there, they had this sweet young lady who brought our food, she gave us as much cheese as we wanted, the hubby really was pleased (big cheese lover). Ok. I am legit confused about the low ratings here. My 14 year old son and I came to dinner here tonight. We are staying in a nearby hotel. I was a little leery because past "Yelpers" have them at a 3.5. But.... We had the best time! My son had the meatball appetizer which he loved. He's Italian on his dad's side so he's had a lot of meatballs at home, holidays and family dinners. But he loved these. Heavy praise. Our entrees were huge and tasty. And the service was so attentive. When we failed to make a decent dent in the (huge) entrees, our server Kayla, came by with legitimate concern. The fresh pasta was so tasty and the right texture, the proteins were well cooked. Also, with respect to service, the hostess and wait staff were the best kind of attentive and helpful. This used to be one of my favorite places, but now they are charging a 3.5% "Convenience fee " for people to pay their bill if they are using credit card...and who doesn't? Not only am I paying for the food and the staff but now they are charging me an additional fee to pay my own bill. I live pretty close to the Southpointe area, but don't frequent Toscana too much because it is so overpriced!!! I was at Toscana on a Friday night with my husband and we both really enjoyed our meals. We got the meatball appetizer to share and the meatballs were delicious! Two huge meatballs covered in sauce. Highly recommend. I got the chicken Marsala for my entree and it very good as well. My hubby got the chicken and crab which was basically chicken with crab Oscar and served in a lemon capers sauce. It was supposed to come with fried potatoes but he asked for pasta instead. He really loved his meal and I liked it as well. I actually liked it more than my meal. The service was incredible. I am kicking myself for not catching the server's name, because she was such a delight and deserves a shout out. They sat us in the wayyyy back of the restaurant and i was afraid of being out of sight, out of mind; but that was not the case! For an app and 2 chicken dinners, our bill was over $70. We didn't even order alcohol. That's just way too much in my opinion for a casual restaurant. Toscana is in no way fine dining or a steakhouse.
