WOMEN BEWARE. One star because I can't give zero. We purchased an extended service contract through 80k miles when we bought our vehicle new at VW. The 80k service is extensive (and expensive) which is why we purchased the contract in the first place. We meticulously brought our Atlas in for every service when due. As we approached the end of the contract, my wife was informed by this dealer that our contract had expired - prior to receiving the very expensive 80k service. She tried to follow up with this dealer, but did not receive any calls back. Fast forward several months later, I (instead of my wife) call to set up service and miraculously they find that we do in fact still have the 80k service to go....however, now we are past the mileage allowed by the contract and the dealer is refusing to honor even though it was their error (or misogyny, decide yourself) that caused us to go over mileage in the first place. Just very unprofessional and questionable business dealings when they not only lie to my wife, but refuse to follow up with her, yet when I call the person tells me "oh yeah I can see it right here as soon as I pull it up that you have services left". Avoid the service dept.. I hd oil changed on 16 optima, at 2300 miles oil light on. Ck oil and its almost empty. Take it in for oil change and Want me to monitor it. At 1500 miles I ck and its down over a qrt. I take it back and they literally said its normal and no issues were found. BS! I called my old dealer Rosen about this..they started oil consumption testing After a month of checking..they kept over night and found number 1 piston not sealing. I brought KIA in for a new engine. I had to ask for a loaner. I was told none was available. Almost three weeks later no loaner available? I Never received a phone call until the car was ready No loaners. I went to get in the car to drive home, but the power seat was not working. I told them. I was brushed off and was told it was not their fault. I need that power seat. Got home and my husband looked no fuse! The seat was working when my KIA arrived. Did someone remove the fuse??? And never put one in. Put a fuse in it works fine. I will never go there again. I'll go to Milwaukee. I had a good sales agent while buying a new Telluride. I hit a lot of curbs (or my wife does, but that's another story) so I purchased a warranty package for $799. I sold the car a year later due to the amazing used car market. I have attempted 6 times to get a refund of the warranty and no one will return calls. I finally spoke to someone and he promised to email a form, but never sent it. Good sales experience but this company is not trustworthy and won't do what's right for the customer. This dealership is untrustworthy. I put a $500 deposit down on a factory order CX-50. Anthony (Tony) did not provide me with a signed buyers order or build sheet - meaning the OTD price we discussed would not be guaranteed on delivery. After all of that, they called me the next day to tell me that the dealership is not accepting build orders. Hours of time wasted. And I still only have a "conditional" refund for my $500 deposit and it has been MONTHS. Terrible experience! read more

I am guessing most people don't write positive YELP reviews for car dealerships, but I'll happily be the exception. I've now bought two vehicles at Boucher Mazda, and have serviced my Mazdas with Boucher as well. I stopped by the dealership on a Saturday (busy day!) to see a new Mazda Miata. I truly wasn't planning on swapping cars but after driving the new one I was sold. On both of my purchases, I dealt with my salesman Lee McGee, who is very personable and informed on his product. I'm a very educated buyer as a general rule but this was far more impulse buy. Still, I wasn't pressured and I felt like Lee was much more of a consultant than a salesman trying to close a deal. As with my last purchase, I also dealt with a manager named Brad Whippo. Again, low pressure, engaged, and personable. Lastly, and probably most significantly, service! Chris Miller, the service manager, is beyond awesome to deal with. He answers questions and is proactive with maintenance on my cars. On top of that, they have an "old school" Mazda mechanic on staff that unofficially is a specialist on the Miata named Scotty. Chris always had Scotty work on my cars. I would certainly recommend doing business with Boucher Mazda. read more

Last month when buying a certified used 2016 Volkswagen Golf SportWagen the sales agent lied to me about how they acquired the vehicle. He gave an elaborate b.s. story about a lady trading it in for a newer vehicle after one year. This was clearly an attempt to try to get me to purchase a newer and more expensive vehicle from him. So, I had my cousin who is a dealer in Nevada run the car's VIN and found out the truth. They bought it at auction. When I confronted the Boucher VW manager, he apologized for the "misunderstanding". Now, knowing what they paid for the vehicle at auction, and the average purchase price nationwide, I demanded they bring down the price by $900. They ended up knocking $400 off the price, but the ONLY reason I went through with it was because I had a new born at the house and I needed a car immediately. read more

My husband and I had settled on purchasing our second Kia Soul and decided to try the dealer in town. I had seen one on the Boucher Website listed at $13,438. It was a decent price, so we went in to take a look at it. The day we looked at it, the salesman told me that the price would be an additional $800 since we were recent college grads or military. Fine. He also told me they couldn't go any lower because they wouldn't make any money on the car. We went home to think about it. We decided we were still interested in the car and went back a few days later to see if we could make a better deal. Oddly enough, when I looked at the EXACT same car again online the price had dropped $200. Weird, since I had already been told $13,438 was the lowest they could go. I even have the screen shots and stock numbers to prove it. We told the guy that we would buy the vehicle at the stated online price and not a penny more . He refused to budge, saying $14,238 (the $13,438 plus the $800 in invalid rebates) was the lowest they could go and that we couldn't get a better deal within 500 miles. Right..... We drove to Waukesha to Russ Darrow Kia and bought the exact same car for $13,250 that night. Russ Darrow also threw in 3 free oil changes and extended the power train warranty to 20 years/200,000 miles. So yeah, drive the 40 minutes out of Racine. After going to 2 dealerships in Northern Illinois and starting to feel defeated I thought I wouldn't be getting my SX. My first experience with Boucher VW was great. I took my Passat in for scheduled 10K service appt and waited for it to be completed. It took 1 hour as promised and the service mgr provided a very thorough explanation of what they did and when I need to come back. The waiting area was clean, welcoming and had current magazines to boot. There was complimentary coffee, soda and water as well. There is a separate area for kids to play also. They washed my car after the service and did a good job at getting the salt off it! Very happy with my experience and will be back! read more

This dealership has truly professional sales agents. We bought a Mazda CX5 Grand Touring last Saturday afternoon at 4:00 and they were supposed to close at 5:00. The sales agent, Kathie Johnston, was the most cordial, patient, attentive, and helpful agent we have ever dealt with. She made the sale happen and had the car cleaned while we were signing the papers with the Manager and Finance Manager. They were all very professional and we would come back to this dealership if we have to buy another car. It's a dealership like any other, I suppose. While friendly and easy to work with, I felt nothing special from the experiance and transaction. I wasn't there to get a fancy car, just a new and reliable family car, so there were no kick-backs at all, which I suppose is fine; I can't mark it against them, but it didn't make me feel great. Even asking to throw in a $10 gas card was met with immediate rejection. A young couple standing nearby, looking at a much nicer, expensive car were dishing out all sorts of praise "Oh my god, thank you so much, this is so great. Seriously man, thank you!". Which I can only assume were in response to getting some sort of special deal. We didn't have this same oppourtunity which did make it feel like our car was already discounted and priced pretty low (a good thing), but hearing it, while asking and being denied even an extra $10 gas card made me realize this is just a business and the talk of "customer loyalty" is just copywrite fluff that is more easily convincing to buyers looking at more expensive cars--larger price margin to work with. Their job is to make money, not hand out deals, but I think the overall experience could have been a little different as to not make this feel so obvious. This isn't a small purchase. In fact this is the largest purchase I've ever comitted to. Would I go back? Eh, probably not. Im left feeling like this place is like any other. I hold no reason to look at this place differently from the rest. Fidelity has a track record dating back YEARS before I bought my truck from Frank Boucher Mazda as being a completely worthless, scam of a warranty. Absolutely shame on me for not doing my research and trusting that a reputable dealership would sell me a reputable service contract. Now I'm on the hook for the cost of repairs to my vehicle and a $1900 piece of paper that would have NEVER paid for a single repair on the truck they sold me. My experience at this dealership was terrible. The Jeep I looked at had multiple mechanical and safety issues including: 1. Emergency brake did not work unless you pulled it to the max with an extreme amount of muscle. There is no way my daughter would be able to engage it. 2. Pressing the brakes at 60 mph felt like you were in a space shuttle reentering the atmosphere, with extreme shaking in the steering wheel. 3. Oil Leak Ok. So there's problems. All I asked for was that they be fixed and I would buy the car. After all they say the car is safety certified and two of the three are safety issues. Also, how do you claim you do a mechanical check and inspection and the first thing you see when you look underneath is dripping oil? Salesperson came back from sales manager and said that they would fix two of the three problems, which ones would I like fixed. I said number two and three. Done deal right? No, Salesperson comes back and tells me they're going to take the car to the service department to see what the problems are in detail After about 20 minutes the sales manager approaches asked me what I need to buy the car. I tell him that I want the problems fixed. He tells me that they are not going to fix any of the problems. The car stops and drives and the oil leak is just seepage. At that point since the sales manager is now reverse negotiating, and wants to sell me a car with safety and mechanical issues that should've been identified and fixed before I even drove to the dealership, I left. read more

This used to be one of the nicer dealers in Racine, I bought a Audi about 5 years ago. but it's really gotten bad there. Good Management seems like it's lacking there. But the WORST part is all the cars on the import side. Stay away!!! Everything bend painted hit or running bad. One black BMW 3 series had a whole side painted and was poorly repaired. Even though it had a "clean Carfax" Another white Audi had multiple problems on test drive. Other cars were accident repaired with clean Carfax. They say they didn't know but come on!! Dropped off Kia for service. Had a 100k full wrap warranty. Stated suspension was clunky. They state it was due to a bad bearing and warranty fixed it. They didn't bother to look further just stopped at the first issue they found. Suspension still clunky, more than likely it's the balljoints but now passed the warranty and they won't cover. Typical crappy dealership service that does not deliver. This place doesn't understand the meani,g of finding the root cause of the issue. Avoid this service center and Kia all together. Cheap parts, over priced labor. 1.5hr labor charge for rear brakes? I have changed these plenty in the past. read more

Waste of time! I had an appointment with Suzanne scheduled, received not only an email confirmation from her the morning of, but also a phone call confirming my appointment from a gentleman at the office that afternoon. I showed up, and two salesmen sat at their desks and failed to even acknowledge I was there. When a sales person finally asked if she could help me, she found out that Suzanne is off. Reluctantly (and only at the instruction of her boss) did the same sales girl then offer to help me look at the car I was told would be pulled up and ready (that was not). After test driving it I was sold (I had full intentions of buying a car that day, cash down payment in hand). My friend was with me and noticed there was visible damage to the rotors, when he mentioned it, the sales girl responded with "I sell cars, not work on them". With that, and (small but noticeable) dents to the driver side, they still would not budge on the asking price. And even more insulting, they offered me $250.00 on my 2012 Mazda 3 (my intention is to trade it in for a Mazda CX-5). I explained that my sister recently had her engine go out on the freeway, and she had a dealership tow it for free to their lot and still gave her $500.00 for trade in value. She told me that is all they are guaranteed to get at auction so that is the most they can offer. I immediately left. I honestly have never had such a terrible experience in car buying, or dealt with people who could obviously care less whether or not they sell you a car. Don't waste your time. read more

Been shopping around for a new KIA. I had stopped at other dealerships and kinda knew what I was looking for but I didn't find the right salesperson until I met David Lehman. He was extremely easy going, pleasant and had all the answers to my questions. We took a test drive and I wasn't thrilled. He and I walked the lot until I found the car I wanted. Then he went to bat for me to get me the best deal. I ended up leasing a 2016 Kia Sorento with all the bells and whistles within the payment amount that I could afford. Just bought a brand spanking new 2014 Passat Diesel with Tim Nyquist over at the VW side (Tim works at Mazda). Got to say the sales experience was top notch!! I met Tim at the Auto show 2 months before my purchase at the Mazda both, where he gave me his card and told me that I could come in whenever to take a look at the mazda. Through two months of research I decided that the Mazda was not going to fit my family need and was a little above my price range. So I called Tim and he told me that I could go over to the VW dealership next door. My concern is that Tim would lose out on his commission, but Tim did not care and he told he would help me purchase a VW anyways. I came back in to boucher with offers from 3 other dealerships that had beaten the price of Boucher by quite a bid (Use True Car for offers it is great) I told Tim that I really wanted to buy from Boucher but I would need them to get as close to these low ball offers from Illinois dealerships as possible. Tim than communicated through me via email that he was able to get within only a $100 dollars of the offer, and because I already had a great relationship with him I was going to purchase through Boucher. I came in the next day shook his hand and he was already prepping my car for delivery for a seamless checkout procedure. The transmission went out on the car I had been driving so was looking for a used car that would take little maintenance and not need large repairs in the near future. Ended up buying an 06 Mazda Tribute just shy of 100,000 miles. It was in great condition and had a good experience with the salesman. It ran great for about five months and then the battery died, $220 later it was good to go until the transmission went out about two weeks later. $3,000 after that we have ended up putting way more money into this car. Oh, it needs new tires too. In hindsight perhaps we should have had it looked at before we bought it..... Called the dealership for pricing on rebuilding the transmission and they were of little help. Will NEVER purchase another vehicle from them again. The car was on the high price end to begin with for how many miles it had on it and then to put $3200 of work in five months after is just ridiculous. DO NOT RECOMMEND. read more

After months of research I had finally decided what car I wanted to get for my first-ever brand new car. I started out the negotiation process via phone with several car dealerships in the area. Frank Boucher Dealership in Racine was running a promotion that day for a complimentary GoPro with purchase, so that was something that caught my attention. Around noon the internet sales person at Frank Boucher texted that we had to be there by 1:00 or they would take back the price that we had negotiated and agreed upon. We were about an hour away, so the time window was nearly impossible to meet, but even when we explained that we were planning on grabbing lunch before heading down, they refused to move their 1:00 " deal deadline". We skipped lunch and rushed down to the dealership. I actually decided on a slightly more expensive vehicle. At this point they also refused to give me the promotional item (GoPro). By the time the financing was complete, their garage was closing up, so we were unable to view the vehicle in the garage, and it was dark outside. The sales man voluntarily told me that "it's dark out" and that if I got the vehicle home and noticed anything wrong, to call him right away. The next morning (Sunday) I noticed over a dozen faded-looking paint defects on the hood, that couldn't be rubbed off, they were actually under the clear coat. The car only had 12 miles on it at the time of purchase. I was able to take the car back to the dealership on Tuesday evening, was given an older loaner car to use while the dealership addressed the paint issue. The dealership offered to chip off the hood re-paint it, which I was not satisfied with for several reasons. When the dealership became unreasonable, I called Mazda to see what could be done. The Mazda rep stated that they would call the dealership, and meanwhile I still have this loaner car. The salesmen called asking for me to come and pick up my car, and claimed that Mazda were the ones who would be calling the DM. Essentially, both of them were saying the other was responsible for calling the DM, and I still had the loaner car. That evening, I still hadn't heard back from Mazda, and the GM Keith Zylka called me, and he became incredibly nasty, and threatened to call the police and report the loaner car as stolen if I didn't bring it back right then. Reminder, this dealership is an hour away, this conversation was around 7:00 at night and I had house guests due to arrive at 7:30. He accused me of "avoiding them", which was ridiculous as I had just spoken to his sales rep that afternoon. There was so much miscommunication. I explained the situation multiple times, and he repeatedly told me he was going to the Police, even asking me when I start work in the morning, where I work, how far I drive, and calculating in his mind that I could bring the car in before I go to work in the morning. He finally agreed to 6pm the following day, but reiterated that if I was even a minute late, he'd call the police. Flashback! This dealership really loves threatening its customers with deadlines, from the start to finish of the buying process. Upon hearing how I had been treated (I was pretty rattled), my boyfriend actually went to the police station to inquire about the legality of this threat, and the police immediately assured him that these harassing threats were essentially a load of crap. When my boyfriend called the GM to inform him that we would be bringing it the following evening and not that night or in the morning, the GM spoke very differently to him than he had to me. Keith is a sexist bully who uses threats to intimidate and harass females, and makes unreasonable demands with little notice. Frank Boucher Mazda Racine and specifically GM Keith Zylka have made what was supposed to be a happy, exciting first-car-ever buying experience into the biggest nightmare I have ever been through. Had I known how unethical of a business they run, I would have happily gone to another closer dealership and paid thousands more than to endure this horrible ordeal, which resulted in paying full price for a defective vehicle. read more
