    AIR FILTER

    Took my car in for oil change. NEVER even checked my air and cabin filters (which were FILTHY) yet indicated on my receipt that "Customer refused" (see pictures below) When we checked them, we could tell they were never checked, the screws and top of the filter cabin were not touched (still dusty,) Cabin filter is behind glove box and that was also untouched! I would have NEVER refused these to be changed! Said my tires were good at 3/32, my tires are NOT good, I did not have them rotated with my oil change because I have an appointment to get NEW tires put on, my thread is less than 5/32, yet they said they were good. Requested a rear wiper blade replacement, never got done, said they had to order one, that never happened. I called and talked to the service manager, he basically said OH SORRY. and asked me if I checked my dip-stick to see if the oil was clean WHAT??? Told me if I wanted to drive back (over 10 miles) he would check the dip-stick for me to be sure the oil was clean.....never really apologized much at all. Never offered to make things right other than to "check my dip-stick" I got the feeling he did not care about his customers at all I am CERTAIN they did NOT do the 21 point inspection they claim to do. and I am actually doubtful they may not have even did an oil change........I will NOT be back.....

    This company sells cars with branded titles without disclosing it. Found out about this in January when I went to trade in my car at another dealer and they told me my $30,000 car was now only worth $8000 because of this branded title. Now it is 6 months later and I still have no answer on if my title is fixed. Zeigler tells me the original dealer made a mistake in marking it branded but will not take ownership that they still sold it to me with the title branded. Now to top it off, I have been trying to get in touch with someone for 2 months about canceling my car's warranty and keep getting the same "someone will contact you soon" reply. Would never recommend this dealership. Bunch of scam artists. They also scammed a family member of mine with her purchase by adding $1000s of unnecessary fees that were never disclosed at purchase but would not assist her until she threatened calling her attorney.

My salesman, Miles, promised the rental would be returned promptly to Enterprise in Waukegan, Illinois. But then it apparently sat on the lot for 15 days, three days past the deadline for return of the car. No one told me what they did with the car. Then Enterprise billed my auto insurer for the 15 days. My insurer notified me it paid for twelve days. That money improperly went to Zeigler. I was informed I owed for three more days. When I contacted Enterprise and Zeigler about this matter, I encountered resistance. I filed a complaint with my insurer and Enterprises' headquarters. I am sorry I bought the car from Zeigler.

I have purchased several cars over the years from various dealerships and have never had such a horrible experience as Ziegler provided. Their offenses warrant a formal complaint to the FTC and WI DATCP. First, their advertising and sales practices are deceptive. They advertised a lower vehicle price to lure us in and then put what are supposed to be optional add ons to the final price without disclosing them to the buyer. Beware, Zguard and LoJack will be added to your vehicle final price. Alfredo annd Zach initially refused to remove the fees after hours of arguing. Thankfully we were able to prove the Zguard was not disclosed in CarFax so the manager reluctantly agreed to take it off but still refused to sell the car without charging for LoJack. They could have upsold us on LoJack with proper disclosure and explanation but they chose deception and bullying instead. The first red flag of their lack of integrity as a business. Pretty sure it's also not legal or is some violation but we'll let the FTC and State of WI decide on that. During the final signing process, the salesperson, Alfredo, could not explain the line items of what "other fees" were. He said he's not a numbers guy but asked us to sign anyway acknowledging that it was explained to us. Sleazy. Seriously just adds to the mistrust and poor experience. And everyone was completely unapologetic about every negative interaction we brought to their attention. Asked about the fully tinted windows and windshield being illegal in WI but the sales guy said he didn't know. I think a dealership should know what is legal or not and not sell it in an illegal condition. I can remove the windshield tint myself but again, something I shouldn't even have to be thinking about after buying from a large dealership like Ziegler. When we finally got in to the car, after being told it had just gone through a detailing, it smelled of smoke. They also gave us our new used car with a 1/4 tank of gas. Every other dealership I've ever bought from at least had us leave with a full tank and a fresh clean vehicle. We were exhausted and frustrated with the whole experience and just wanted to get as far away from Ziegler as possible so decided to do our own detailing. They also only provided one key FOB that was very faded. Attached are some picture of what we all found during our cleaning process. Disgusting cabin filter, shrimp, cigarette, old papers and just nasty dark brown water coming from cleaning the interior. Also, the original picture of the vehicle showed black rims. When we got the vehicle, it looks like the rims were scrubbed and now just have remnants of what was black. 2 days after purchasing, the check engine light came on. Took it to a trusted mechanic, diagnostic scan revealed a dysfunctional thermostat and several error codes that needed to be reprogrammed. After all repairs were done, purchased a second FOB so we have a back up and detailing/cleaning supplies, we've spent over $2000 total to get this vehicle into the shape Ziegler should have had it in before they sold it to us. We have messaged our sales person multiple times with these concerns and since we left the day we bought it, he has not responded at all. Went down to the dealership in person to talk with him and negotiate some compensation and opportunity for Ziegler to redeem themselves for all of this trouble and cost. Our sales person, Alfredo, quickly ushered my son away so his new victims couldn't hear the complaints. The second sales person offered to inspect the vehicle and do some detailing. Too late for that, should have all been done before we drove away the first time. And they have lost our trust to handle our vehicle or business ever again. Ziegler justified everything they did saying all dealerships do this. That couldn't be farther from the truth. They are unapologetic about their sleaze and deception. If you care about integrity at all, tell everyone you know to avoid Ziegler.

    Unprofessional Last Friday I saw they had this Captiva…read morelisted so I stopped in right away. I was told by sales consultant Mark it was coming in on a trade and would be available later this week. I tried to place the car on hold, etc. but was told it was not possible. They would call me as soon as the car came in. This morning I checked the website and it was showing now with photos, so I immediately contacted the salesperson to ask if he could put on hold and would stop in the evening. I was told they could not put on hold, nor could they take a deposit. So an hour later, I messaged I was on my way. They told me to hold off because it may already be sold. I still stopped and talked to sales manager "Noa" to explain my displeasure with their sales process - no call, no ability to do anything beforehand, etc. Seems like something shady where someone internally is purchasing it instead of the public. The car still shows as available online. I've purchased used elsewhere recently - CarMax and a dealer in Chicago. Both dealers had no issue holding vehicles and as soon as we made the purchase the car was gone online too. Your best bet is taking your dollars elsewhere - I'll be doing that when purchasing a new Toyota Tacoma TRD. *Revised* Now on Tuesday, after they said it was sold, they raised the price. So shady.

So we wasted an hour of your time and gas to drive her and back only to say sorry we screwed up. Nothing to make it right on my side, just a straight ope. I'll never go back here, this was garbage. Their mistake and a waste of time and money for me so a shrug and sorry.

The 80k service is extensive (and expensive) which is why we purchased the contract in the first place. We meticulously brought our Atlas in for every service when due. As we approached the end of the contract, my wife was informed by this dealer that our contract had expired - prior to receiving the very expensive 80k service. She tried to follow up with this dealer, but did not receive any calls back. Fast forward several months later, I (instead of my wife) call to set up service and miraculously they find that we do in fact still have the 80k service to go....however, now we are past the mileage allowed by the contract and the dealer is refusing to honor even though it was their error (or misogyny, decide yourself) that caused us to go over mileage in the first place. Just very unprofessional and questionable business dealings when they not only lie to my wife, but refuse to follow up with her, yet when I call the person tells me "oh yeah I can see it right here as soon as I pull it up that you have services left". Go to these guys at your own risk.
