They are attentive and concerned with the overall health. I could go on and on about them but if it is your destination you will be in good hands. I was fortunate to only have a short stay at 90 days. They have long term patients which seem to love it here too. The food has a little to desire. But I have been told they are working on it. You can tell when the food is prepared here it is very good. The good thing is your family can bring your food in as long as your diet permits. With today's door dash and grub hub. The food is an easy fix. I would recommend this place even though I do not have much experience with long term care. They have helped me return to my life and I will be grateful to them for the rest of my life thank you valley oaks.

All three of my boys are dyslexic, and I have spent years fighting a system that was fully prepared…read moreto let them fall through the cracks academically. By the time I realized how severe the situation truly was, thanks to years of the school district lying, manipulating and gaslighting me, my children were years behind and being pushed through school without the ability to properly read, write, or do math independently. I refused to allow that to become their future. Like many parents of struggling learners, I was desperate to find help -- and unfortunately, not all "experts" are created equal. We had an extremely painful experience with our first educational therapist, whose treatment of my child caused real emotional harm. After that, I became incredibly guarded, skeptical, and hypercritical of anyone I considered bringing into my son's life. I wasn't just looking for someone qualified. I needed someone safe, compassionate, ethical, patient, and genuinely skilled at teaching complex learners. Thank god for Kellie Henkel at Lights On Learning. Kellie completely changed Hudson's life. In just ONE year, she helped Hudson close massive academic gaps -- literally 4-6 grade levels in multiple areas. The progress has been unbelievable. What felt impossible a year ago is now our reality. Hudson went from feeling defeated and overwhelmed by school to believing in himself academically again. But what makes Kellie extraordinary is not just her skill level -- it's who she is as a person. She is kind, patient, calm, compassionate, encouraging, deeply knowledgeable, and an absolute badass when it comes to teaching kids with learning differences. She knows exactly how to push students while still protecting their confidence and emotional well-being. Hudson trusted her. He felt safe with her. She rebuilt not only academic skills, but self-esteem. As a mother who has lived through the trauma of watching her children be failed by schools and hurt by professionals who were supposed to help them, I cannot explain the level of gratitude I feel for Kellie. She will forever be part of our family's story. If your child is struggling -- trust your gut. Do not let anyone convince you your child is lazy, unmotivated, or incapable. The right intervention and the right teacher can completely change the trajectory of a child's life. Kellie Henkel did exactly that for Hudson, and I will never be able to thank her enough for what she has done for our family.

We wanted him to get the help he needed before attending Kindergarten. We were so happy when we found Kellie and could not believe how quickly our son made progress. Not only did she help our son but she also helped my husband and I understand what was happening with our son's speech and explained ways that we could help him using her proven methods. Kellie knows how to engage with her students and makes learning fun and enjoyable. I highly recommend her!

Up until recently, we didn't know the brain could lack development in the pathways, which are like roadblocks. And our children developed around those roadblocks. However, science proves we can go back and repair the undeveloped neuro-pathways at any age. I was referred here by a family member who shared about Brain Boost Academy's unique innovative methods which help people who lack certain early neuro-developmental sequences, which affect attention, learning and daily home life. I know how difficult it is to have a bright child that is very over-active like a little tornado with a short-attention span. I couldn't keep up with him and had to keep him busy to keep him out of trouble. I learned that with an evaluation, the deficits could be identified and treated specifically and that it would require a developmental one on one program. Seeing the progress before and after has made me a believer. I saw multiple results of how the program works. I wish Brain Boost Academy was available to everyone everywhere!

We began seeing results about a quarter of the way through his program and he continues to improve each week. I am so thankful that we found Brain Boost!

I got referred for a round of sessions here to treat a problem I was having with a pain in my knee and a pain and tightness in my calf, and of course when I had the initial consultation I had to lay down my extensive history of scoliosis and back problems, and the multiple rounds of PT sessions I had already done at other places prior, and the physical therapist assessed that my back problems were probably an underlying factor for the symptoms in my extremities I was experiencing. So he crafted a PT regimen not only to address the symptoms directly but also to further address my back problems, and that was much appreciated. I believe this holistic approach to treating the current problem I was having was the right approach. By the end of the round of sessions, my knee pain was all cleared up and my calf was significantly improved, with no more pain but still a bit of tightness every so often. With the continuing at-home exercises and stretches I was given to address that, as well as a handy calf-stretcher heel-rocker piece of equipment they had which they taught me a few exercises for and that I subsequently found a reasonable approximation of to order off of Amazon, I believe I won't be having any serious issues with my calf anymore. I did do a round of sessions for my back pain here years ago, probably about a decade ago, and at the time they were in a smaller building and I honestly wasn't too impressed with the experience. But they have since moved to a larger location and hired more staff, and I was much more satisfied with the care I received this time.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but I felt this experience was important to share…read more My first visit mostly involved intake with the physical therapist and a short treatment on my hand, which seemed fine. During my second visit: * I only saw the PT briefly before being directed to a young assistant who was not a physical therapist. * The treatment room was extremely cramped with essentially no privacy between patients. * While using ultrasound on my finger joint, the assistant became distracted in a side conversation with another staff member. * The ultrasound wand was repeatedly left sitting in one place instead of being kept moving. * This caused a burning sensation in the joint. I understand ultrasound is normally kept moving during treatment, which is why this concerned me. * I moved the wand several times myself until I eventually asked her to stop as the discomfort was increasing. * I was also instructed to perform one of the exercises incorrectly. When I mentioned the ultrasound issue to the PT on my way out, the concern did not appear to be taken seriously. When I later called to cancel my remaining appointments, I had to leave multiple voicemails during business hours and received no call back. After four attempts I finally reached the receptionist. Overall, in my experience this did not reflect the level of patient attention or professionalism I expect from a physical therapy clinic. I'm sharing this feedback in hopes it helps improve patient care going forward. I have since switched to AG Physical Therapy, where experienced therapists provide focused, professional care.
