    a half eaten sandwich
    Audrey R.

I have heard great things about this place and finally was able to get here. I've been looking for a breakfast spot for a while since moving to White Plains. We kept it simple, bacon egg and cheese for breakfast and it did not disappoint. Fresh bread, cheesy and good amount of bacon. Can't wait to come back and try the subs/wedges. Would definitely recommend.

    Italian combo! Yum!

Finally made my way back and it definitely lived up to the memory. The sandwiches are packed, flavorful, and actually worth the hype. I had enjoyed their sandwiches in the past, especially the One Upper, so I was looking forward to it. Unfortunately, about two and a half hours after eating the sandwich, I became sick and vomited multiple times. The Aristocrat breakfast sandwich was the only thing I had eaten that day, and I believe it was what made me sick. The following day, I was dealing with significant stomach pain from vomiting so much. My mom called the restaurant and spoke with Marisa, who apologized and offered me a free sandwich. While I appreciated the apology, a free sandwich didn't make up for how sick I became. During the conversation, Marisa suggested that the issue may have been unrelated to the food. Given that the sandwich was the only thing I had eaten that day and I don't have any known food allergies, I felt my concerns were not fully addressed. It's disappointing because I expected the same quality I remembered, but this experience was the complete opposite. It will be a while before I feel comfortable returning.

We were there a little before opening and a small line had already formed. Once they opened, we took our time to figure out what to order. Most of the staff were really friendly. One of the guys was not pleasant. He seemed super annoyed with every customer and then we had to hear him complain to all of his coworkers about how he wasn't supposed to open that morning. I get it; no one wants to be in that position. However, all of the customers don't have to be subjected to the poor attitude, especially since this place is obviously popular due their social media presence. Other than this one sour apple, the rest of our experience was great! Giovanni's Italian Deli is an intimately sized sandwich shop in White Plains, New York. They are located in an area with other businesses and there is free parking shared among the nearby shops. The establishment doesn't have any indoor seating, although they do have a few chairs and table outside if you want to eat on site. We ordered a total of three sandwiches: - Joe Rogan - The Famous Bronx Godfather - The Summer Bruschetta All of the sandwiches were great. Definitely crafted well with generous portions on the inside of all of the sandwiches. We watched them make the mozzarella fresh while waiting to order and for our sandwiches to be made. The guy making the mozzarella, Johnny, even gave my family samples. He made a little small portion for our toddler. Truly an awesome experience with quality sandwiches. The Summer Bruschetta was my sandwich and I can only hope it becomes something permanent on their menu! It goes without saying that, aside from the one rude staff member, our first trip to Giovanni's Italian Deli was memorable. My husband was so happy about the "sangwheeches" and is already talking about how we'll have to fit another trip to White Plains during our next visit New York. Our only hope is that Giovanni is there the next we stop by!

Our family ordered a #13,#17, #5 and a . The sandwiches were good. We should have ordered the rolls that weren't seeded but it was still good. We tried other sandwiches in the group as well. I really enjoyed the roast beef but went back in to ask for mustard which I always enjoy with my roast beef(Again I should have asked for more pickles, banana peppers and mustard) . I like my sandwiches with a punch of dilly and vinegar mix. The other thing is we should have ordered the meatball as a hot hero. Like I said it was a great stop and definitely worth the money. Service was as expected since it was all hangout and wrapped. Sodas are in a cooler which is self serve. We ended up eating our sandwiches on the outside tables and enjoyed conversing with our family. This is a family trip to a graduation. Overall great place to grab a

The place looks great, and the food and customer service is on point as well. If you want a salad for lunch, this is the place to go. I bought a salad yesterday, and I ate 2 full servings from it, and get this, I still have two more servings to go before it's finished. The best part of it is that it's less than $10. For 9.36, you get a huge helping of one protein, and whatever other toppings you want. Unless, you plan to share this with someone, I recommend that you don't put dressing on it, so that you're able to eat it later. Panera won't be seeing me anymore for their high dollar salads. Knollwood deli all the way. Besides, I'd rather support local businesses in the area. I haven't tried any of the hot food, but I will update my post whenever that happens.

Prices are not cheap either. Why pay for rats, cats, and insects nibbling on the food they sell to you? There are so many other better places in the area: Pats Deli on Columbus Ave, Rose Hill deli (the best) on Columbus ave, the Sandwich Spot on Legion/Grasslands, and there are more places on route 9a Saw Mill River Road, such as Wendy's, Dunkin, IHOP Applebees, even ShopRite has great sandwiches, and locally there's even Panera and Dave's Hot Chicken. This bodega follows the normal bodega counter setup but boasts a little three-top dining counter inside the window, as well as a shaded picnic table outside. We got the tacos de chorizo y huevo con aguacate and two of the fresh juices--the sabato and the summer juice. We waited for the meal outside at the picnic table and dined there as well. After about 15 minutes, the order was ready. I went in to get the juices, and the kind gentleman working there brought out the tacos. The juice was delicious and was juiced then blended for the perfect velvety texture. It was super fresh, as evidenced by all the fruits and veggies washed and displayed in the deli case. The tacos are served with a piece of queso frito, a side of salsa verde, and a side of salsa roja. Everything was cooked perfectly, and the portion was generous. The salsas were very flavorful with great heat. I only wished the filling had a little more salt or a little more chorizo to give it the additional saltiness it needed. Overall, a good solid meal. Definitely will be back.
