Frankie's is running a complete bait-and-switch operation. I inquired about a vehicle on their website and was contacted by Colleen telling me I was "approved" and asking when I could come in. I went in the SAME DAY based on that approval. When I arrived, I dealt with Dean and another guy in the office. We submitted every document they asked for and sat there for THREE HOURS waiting for a "bank response." No legitimate bank takes three hours to respond. The next day I called and was told they "still hadn't heard back." Then suddenly they needed more check stubs. We sent them immediately. They said they'd call back in 30 minutes. They didn't. When I called back, they literally hung up on me. I called again and was told they were "VERY busy" and would call when they could. They never did. Then I get a notification saying the vehicle was sold. An hour later? The SAME van is back online -- with a higher price. The next day? Another price increase. So which is it? Sold? Or just relisted for more money? This dealership wastes your time, plays games with pricing, and treats customers with complete disrespect. They Are FALSE ADVERTISING. They dont work with Low or Bad Credit. If you have 600 credit score or lower you need at least 2-3,000 to put down. Doesnt sound like your working with the Customer. When they realized I had some extra help as far as a cosigner they said it would only work if I put down 2-3,000$... I'd choose elsewhere, this place had me waiting for service as well. I thought I'd already posted a review for Frankie's but since it appears I didn't, I simply MUST! I bought my car from Frankie's Auto sales on a whim, and had no opportunity to do any back ground runs on the company. My previous vehicle was totaled in an accident and I needed a replacement fast. I showed up to Frankie's and saw a beautiful Camaro I knew I wanted. I settled on a price in my mind and spoke to the staff. I had a live check so I was anticipating getting the car right away, and they turned me away! Thank goodness after consulting with the owner of the vehicle and having a good counter offer for me I was able to dive off in my beautiful car! But what made the experience great was that the staff was friendly, and professional. About a month after purchasing the car I noticed some minor issues that the car would have during the acceleration phase of driving. I figured it was just air in the fuel line and that it would eventually stop. It never did. I called Frankie's and they immediately had me come in. To eh researched the problem and aligned it with a manufactured issue from the dealer. They personally took my car to the dealership and had it repaired and didn't charge me a dime even though they told me it would probably run about $500 to repair (with their discount with the dealer). Frankie's has integrity and they genuinely care about their customers. If you're looking to buy a car, please patronize them. They do NOT disappoint. read more

Actually , Zero . Do not recommend purchasing a vehicle from Frankie's Auto sales. They are the epitome of stereotype smarmy salesmen. Sold me a car without running any diagnostics. Within one day of purchase, there was no oil. The engine was about to blow. I had it towed from my home to Frankie's. I was told by Delacey (Sales Mgr) "Don't worry, we'll make it right." How? By telling me the oil & antifreeze mix ISN'T a head gasket issue? All reps tried to blame the sub zero temps. The timing chain was so off, the car was jumping, while in drive, with my foot on the brake. The quick test drive, nothing was amiss. They cleared the Diagnostic Codes, then sold the vehicle. 2016 Chevy Equinox to me. 5 codes lit on the dash. Once the vehicle towed, they inspected it and found it to be undrivable. They handed me the keys to my trade in & sent me on my way. Didn't try to put me in another comparable vehicle, reduce their profit margin and have a happy customer. In 2005, I looked at cars in the Dyer location and the Chicago Heights location and decided to purchase a car from Frankie's. The finance manager added my 2,000 down payment to my owed balance making the car 2,000 higher than our agreed upon amount. When I requested my money back for their clerical error they stated that they couldn't do anything for me, because I signed the paperwork. I was young and eager back then, but Frankie's finance department is full of predators. My cousin went to Frankie's last month looking for a car and wow what do you know they have the same people working there as they did in 2005, I doubt their business practices have improved at all. read more

I would never purchase a vehicle from Frankie's. Found a car they advertised online and upon arrival quickly realized the car had far less options than the advertisement stated. I felt lured into the dealership by lies. The manager on duty could not have been more rude. I tell everyone I know looking for a car to stay clear of a used car lot like Frankie's. I also find it funny they post on this site that they use Kelley Blue book. When they saw my vehicle I told them Kelley said my car was worth 9k. They tried telling me they use a more accurate system that all car dealerships use and my car was worth 3k at most, and that they were being generous. I ended up selling my car for $8500. Do yourself a favor and educate yourself before going to Frankie's and you will be happy to walk away like I did. read more

I finally decided to give it a shot and go out there and I couldn't be happier. I was able to get into a car with an affordable down payment and affordable monthly payments. The warranty I got for the car is AWESOME and I feel secure in knowing I didn't get a car that is going to break down on me with payments that I can afford. My credit is the best and a lot of times dealers can make you feel like a waste of their time or a cash cow. Not Frankie's. I worked with an awesome salesman who was super friendly and knowledgeable. I bought a car from Frankie's Auto Sales (which I found out later I paid way too much for). During the purchase, I asked 3 TIMES to have GAP insurance included. Two months later my car was totaled in an accident. That's when I found out they DID NOT give my GAP insurance. After my insurance paid for the totaled vehicle, it cost me over $5,000 out of pocket to pay off the car loan. I contacted Frankie's about their error & they said "They would make it right!" Their idea of making something right that cost me $5000 was to pay off my existing bank loan, then add the $5,000 back onto the purchase of a new vehicle from them. How is this compensating me for their mistake? I will NEVER purchase a car from them again. Frankie's Auto Sales in Dyer, IN are the biggest crooks. My son purchased a 2015 Impala from them and put down $8,000. They wanted an additional $1400. We said no. My son had the car for a month and low and behold they came and repossessed the car. They said the reason being my son failed to bring back the additional $1400 for a total down payment of $9,400. We went there yesterday and informed we wanted our $8,000 returned. They informed they would return the money minus the restock fee, repo fee, towing fee, first car payment fee and a cleaning fee. Now mind you his first car payment was not due until January of 2018. I called my salesman (James Ireland) at Mike Anderson Chevrolet of Merriville, IN. My son was able to get the same car with a much less down payment, fewer miles, bumper to bumper full warranty and a lower monthly car note. When you think you can't get a car from a reputable dealership still check first. You have no idea as to the unlimited resources they have to get you in a vehicle. Do not allow credit issues to keep you from going to a reputable dealership first. Please stay away from Frankie's unless just want to get burned and have money to throw away. Lesson learned. We serve a God that sits high and looks low and he blessed us indeed. I will continue to trust in Him as I know he will deal with Frankie's and their unscrupulous salesmen. read more

buyer beware!...shady! have the vehecle inspected before you buy from these guys. i was rushed into taking a car at night, the next day i found that it had severe rear alignment issues. i wanted out of this deal and a refund of my 2k downpayment. they threatened to keep my dp if i did not let them fix this car or take another vehecle, which they can do in indiana because of the as is contract. i took another vehicle and of course the service lights came on as soon as the 30 day warranty went out. most of their vehicles need new tires immediately. and the 2 or 3 days i was there all sorts of people were bringing back vehecles they had just purchased within that week. all cars are at the 100k miles area. these guys know that you are desperate for transportation when you get there and take full advantage of it! read more

I didn't buy a car at Frankie's Auto Sales, however my boyfriend did. The salesman prayed on him as soon as we stepped into the lot. He was asking question as they do, what you looking for, do you want to finance, bla, bla, bla...I asked him if he they any vehicles for $6000.00 and under, and he said no. But come to find out they did, after looking online when I got home, lie #1. Now in the meantime, they also had a online coupon for $250.00 dollars, in which they never told us you could print out at time of sale. I then took the coupon back, as my boyfriend still had some business with them, and they didn't want to honor it because it wasn't brought in the day he purchased the car. Just gave a bunch of bull as to why he couldn't let us have the discount. Then they over priced the car and claimed they gave him a deal, that was bull because I pulled a Kelly Blue Book value for dealership pricing for that same vehicle, and a NADA sheet too, both showed to be $2,000.00 less for what the car should have cost! The same guy who wouldn't give the discount on the coupon, gave a me a line of bull on that as well. So please be aware when car shopping at Frankie's Auto Sales. I personally would not buy a vehicle from them! Although my boyfriend likes his vehicle, it's a place to go if your credit is damaged. I wouldn't even tell an enemy to buy from this place. My boyfriend and I went in to look at cars March of 2014 after his car was stolen. He was really down on his luck and the guy who helped him took advantage. His credit was poor but he had adown payment and a great job so they put him in a decent ford fushion. He only had 1,000 for the down payment but an arrangement was made to pay 500 along with the bi weekly car payments. Once that was done all of a sudden calls from frankies came that they never recieved the 1500 payment. Complete liars showed them recipts would get told ok dont worry. This happened for months until we were told a receptionist passed and that was the problem. Well almost a year later we go back to maybe trade in the car for a better but told we cant because we never paid the 1500 down payment. Of course a year and a move later we cant find the receipts anymore. The manager who sits in the back office is a complete a** and couldnt even get off his butt to speak to us. Once we spoke to the bank we found out the 1500 was added to our lease agreement we are only suppose to owe 4400 but instead 8000 on a 10000 car that we have been paying for a year. This review is long but if i can stop ppl from getting conned by these ppl it is worth it. I really believe they pocketed the 1500.00 and new eventually we would lose those receipts. went in just wanting to look and ask for some prices. you can't get a straight price out of anyone working there before they run your credit first. they rush you into the finance office and to my more shocking experience paper work and credit approval with payment plan was all set and ready for me to sign and all i was doing was shopping around. they sell you cars from the auction that are either dealer headaches or customer trade in at kelly blue book resale prices. ive been lied to and manipulated by this dealership 1 time to many. i took the car back to them 3 days later complaining about the transmission locking up in gear & slipping out of gears while driving. their head service tech notice the drag and said sit in the waiting room and i will look into your trans. well when i decided to take the care to a certified dealer of my choice and not frankies. the dealership notice all of the computer codes and history on this car was wiped clean out of the car computer. now im stuck w this pos for atleast 1 year nickle diming me little by little. read more
