Ok it's been a year since I reviewed Frankie's NY so I am compelled to make an update. I will share what my wife and I say after a Saturday night delivery in peak busy hours ... Thank Heavens for Frankie's! Or let's leave the cooking to Frankie's (when you're too tired to cook) After over a year of frequenting this joint we have yet to get a mediocre meal the Pasta, the hoagies the cheese steak, and the NY style Pie! We were in a bad place recently moving from New Jersey the adjustment was challenging but with no NY pizza we were desperate, I saw the sign but was hesitant and couldn't take the disappointment again but a friend convinced us to give it a try and it changed everything! Fresh, Authentic and consistent the cooks are machines that belt out perfection time and time again! For the money you will not find a better pizza / Italian joint that the rating is anything but 5 Stars is ludicrous. If you are like me and know and need NY style pizza and expect a certain level of goodness Frankie's is the place. I forgot to add one of my favs the meatball Parm Sammy. The worst pizza I have ever tried. Rubber dough, to much red sauce and nasty melted cheese.

I've only recently started coming here and all the food i've tried is great! The grinder sandwich and chicken parm were fantastic today. Last week we got two different pizzas and they were also spot on! The service is pretty quick considering its cooked to order and they are always friendly. Great place for kids too. Always a great go to for take out! Spaghetti and meatballs is large enough for two meals and pro tip , get a side order of meatballs for the second day! Some of the best garlic knots around- steak and cheese subs are very good as are the calzones- staff is always friendly and service is quick, prompt and friendly. Smaller quaint place with about 8-10 tables but this gives a nice comfort feel for dining and being close to the action and great aroma from the kitchen ! read more

Stopped b/c of the Grinder on the menu! We will definitely come back for the food! Ziti and meatballs with a side salad and garlic knots- The garlic knots were huge! They had fresh garlic and oil all over the four knots. The kids loved it! We saved the side salad for tomorrow but the ranch dressing was okay and thick. For two upper elementary kids it was plenty. No bites whether offered, "because it was to good to share." Stromboli " Italian" Large- was HUGE and Yummy! There was a slight heat to it but not overwhelming. Good balance of meat and cheese. The crust was good crispy too. Greek Salad large- OMG the feta cheese was super good and it was a super fresh salad! They also had 2 greek rice roll on top. Different but we enjoyed them. Definitely will get this salad again! We will be back next time we drive down Highway 85! read more

It's really good pizza. Definitely New York style thin crust, light sauce, lite cheese, and just the right amount of pepperoni. I'd definitely come back to get the pizza again or one of their sub sandwiches. However the seating and the interior environment leaves a little bit to desired. The pizza pizza makes it worth the trip if you just want a quick slice and a Coke. read more

Like any other place when you first try the food, we went safe and ordered a medium 16 inch pepperoni pie. As a side dish I ordered fries just to see what was up with them. Pizza was amazing. And the fries were chunky and well over a reasonably amount of fries for only 5-6 bucks. Overall good food, would eat again. read more

Frankie's pizza is the closest you will get the NY style pizza. This little gem of a place is worth the trip.

Ok so the food is really really good. But the service was ummmmmm not. And if you want a place to sit and eat... it's very NY .. in that you absolutely could find this place on a side street in Manhattan.. where they sell you a slice and want you to eat it anywhere but there lol. My boyfriend and I just moved to the area and were looking for a NY style pizza place. I'm from Maryland and spent a lot of time in Upstate NY so I was so excited to find Frankies. We got 1 large meatball pizza and a Sicilian. When we got there they had accidentally put olives on it, their customer service was phenomenal and they made sure they did everything to make sure we were happy and fixed us a new pizza in no time. Both pizzas tasted AMAZING. Not too greasy, the crust was thin and crispy. Absolutely delicious. We look forward to going back soon. read more

Aw, man! I love this place, so I am really conflicted about dropping it down a star. 1.) I ordered a single pizza and was told it would be ready in 30 minutes. I arrived 40 minutes after I placed the call, and I was told to wait another 20 minutes. They were slammed, which is great for them, but it took twice as long as originally quoted. 2.) Barely any mask use. NONE (4-5 guys) of the food handlers were wearing masks. Obviously, I had some extra time to observe, and I really would have appreciated it if they had masks on. The ladies working the front had them on, but they would remove them from time to time. 3.) One cook was handling his cell phone in between making pizzas, and didn't wash his hands afterwords. This was the deal breaker for me. Phones are nasty, and we're in a pandemic. The pizza was great however... As always. I love this place, but I may just hit the pause button for a while. read more

Starting with the counter person having zero personality, it got worse. We received our food. We ordered a sandwich that does not deserve to be on a menu of a place that claims to have great grinders. Come on fellas - add mayo, add cheese, add more turkey (not a thin line) and toast these things! For what you charge put some passion into it. Profit driven - not taste focused at all. Have your staff smile - customers are watching. We needed 30 pizzas for a soccer event and decided to go elsewhere based on this experience. I'd imagine we are not alone. Step it up - lead your team and give this community something for their hard earned dollars. read more

Worst pizza I have ever had. The crust was burned and dry and chewy. Way over done. I got the white pizza that did not have any garlic taste at all to it. A large cheese pizza that was burned on the bottom and had a watery sauce, and lemon pepper wings that leaked greased all Over the place before we got home to eat them. I was recommended this place by a friend who said it tasted like NY pizza. It's awful. Worst $50 I've spent on food. read more

My second visit here will not be my last, but it was chaotic. Both of my visits were carry out. The first was a calzone and it was large and excellent. My second visit was on New Year's Eve and I really feel for the guys because even at 6PM they were already slammed. I ordered around 5:00 and had decided to purchase a broad selection for a sort of "tasting menu." So we had a large pepperoni pizza, an eggplant Parmesan dinner and a ziti with meatballs pasta dinner. Dinners come with garlic bread knots and a large side salad. Each dinner is enough food for at least two people. The food - The pizza is recognizable as the NY style thin crust pie. I think our pizza was made early in the time cycle of our order and sat on top of the oven for quite a while. It was warm, but all that pizza grease had just soaked into the crust and instead of the pizza being fresh, bright cheese, glistening pepperoni, etc. it looked like day old leftovers and a pale pink cheese mess. The flavor was not bad, but the product was certainly not as intended. The eggplant Parmesan comes with a side of spaghetti with sauce and the spaghetti kind of overlapped the eggplant. It too had the feeling of mushiness rather than crispness to the eggplant, but it was very good. I could see ordering this again, especially if I could eat in or get it before the sauce got things too, too soggy. We had ordered an extra side of meatballs (3 of these for $4) to go with the ziti and meatballs so everyone could get a meatball. These were tender and flavorful, but maybe a little too tender (slightly too much on the breadcrumbs). The sauce was good, I do prefer more garlic, but that is an easy fix. The salads were enough for splitting the two side salads for four people and then some. We had the excellent home-made Greek dressing. The garlic knots were the highlight. They were warm, fresh, garlicky and buttery. The service - very polite, very harried. My order was a phone order and they forgot to take my name. It kind of got lost. It also sat on top of the oven for a bit too long, hence the food problems. The customer in front of me received his food and was standing there and the cashier says, "what did we forget something?" The guy said, "I had two pies, the antipast and a two liter." The cashier: "what?" The guy: "I wanna pay!" Oh yeah! It was that kind of night. They found my order, I went home and ten minutes later get a phone call asking for a delivery address for my order, which was on my kitchen table. Never mind! It was that kind of a night for them. The restaurant itself is an in and out place, not really set up for a lengthy dine in experience and with limited tables. It is doable, but get in, eat and get out is the decor. I will return because this is a family owned, small restaurant that obviously has good food, good people, good attitudes and was having a rough night. read more

I am from Arkansas and tried to find a nice local place with authentic NY pizza. We set inside and the staff was very friendly and the entire place had a NY feel to it. It is a small pizza place next to a paint store. One of my son's favorite pizza places. Consistently great food. We very much enjoy their cannolis. Service has always been good and consistent. We will continue to return to Frankie's. read more

Frankie's has thin crust, crispy yet doughy, perfectly sauced and topped pizzas. They offer a couple different sizes but we always go for the largest, 18", because even with just two of us we always end up eating more than we expected - it's that good! Currently (Oct 2020) they are still offering curbside pickup for their take out orders. When I called and placed my order they asked what color and type of car would be picking up. It was a short wait time and when we pulled up they almost immediately came out with everything. Makes it quick and convenient to pickup, but they also offer delivery. They have a few dessert options but I highly recommend the zeppolis. The order of them is slightly pricey for what you get (a dozen munchkin sized balls for $5) but they are so sweet and tasty they are worth it! I'm not entirely sure what they are made of - but I can say they pretty much tasted like a deep fried ball of dough covered with powdered sugar. It's the perfect amount of sweetness and they're served hot and fresh in a paper bag! read more
