I went for the first time today for lunch! The parking lot was packed and I've enjoyed other restaurants in this shopping center. The women's restroom was nice and clean and had a changing table for the little ones! I think that's really thoughtful of them. The staff all seemed to work very work together and they were all very kind and patient. It was very busy but they still got my order out to me quickly. I got the godfather which was a thinly sliced ribeye and white American cheese. It was delicious! I wish I had stopped to take a picture but I wasn't thinking straight! Five stars because how nice the people were, and how good the food was. I had the Italian sub and it was delicious. One of the best I've had. With that said, from the time I ordered until the time I got my food was about 20 minutes at lunch time. I don't know if that is normal for this store or not. I have gotten Thai food a few doors down much faster than that and it is a much more complicated meal. The barbecue place next door usually only takes a minute or two. Again, different food, but I would take that into consideration if I was tight on time. Also the person taking orders at the counter would stop and take call in orders. I think three orders came in while I was in line, about 5 people back. It did make me wish I had stepped outside and called my order in since I was in a hurry. One of my favorite sandwich shops! All the staff are so friendly and welcoming. Their sandwiches are so wonderful, with so many options as well as lots of build your own choices (which is what I always order). As someone who is a little bit of a picky eater, I love to order a bbq chicken sandwich on croissant, warmed. The bbq chicken is wonderful, as is all of their deli meat. You can get chips and a drink with every order, and also add any of their salads, one that I love to have is their phenomenal potato salad. One of my other favorite aspects is that their soda machine has the option for diet Mountain Dew, which I don't see many places offer. As far as delis go in Greenville, this is definitely on the better end of the spectrum. All the meat is cut fresh and the sandwiches are stuffed as full as can be. We visited for lunch along with approximately 6,000 other people, so if you're going for lunch, be prepared to wait. The service was relatively fast and friendly, all things considered. In town for business and this place was close and convenient to where I was working and I am SO glad I checked it out! This is one of the few places in the Upstate that is truly a New York style deli, or close enough to it that I don't care. Boar's Head and other upscale meats, fresh baked rolls, heros, and sandwich bread, and high quality veggies and condiments. My only complaint is that it does get very backed up for lunch. Even with a pre-order left with them that morning when I bought breakfast, I still had to wait 10 minutes to even get to the counter to get my sandwich, which was ready as they promised. Maybe they should add a little pick-up only register for people like me who are on lunch break. I felt a little jaded that I had to wait in line. I have always enjoyed this deli but this is the 2nd time I feel that they were just too rude to me. The latest incident I was on my 15 minute break from work so I called ahead to ask if they were busy and to see if I could get my order pretty fast. The lady told me they could do it. When I arrived there were so many orders in front of mine. I paid for my food after ordering but since they took so long to actually fix my food, I had to run out the door to avoid being late back to work. I called to find out how I get a refund and she stated the next time I visited they would just allow me to eat at no charge. I finally revisited the deli last week to get my meal and they treated me like shit. The only person who was nice to me was a young guy who works in the back because he always is so kind. The lady who normally helps me was so dam rude man. My food was also not good at all that day, as if they wanted to make sure I knew they don't give a dam about receiving my business. I am highly disappointed and I feel completely disrespected by their attitudes in a place where customer service should be inviting to anyone who spends their money there. I refuse to visit this deli again to be treated bad because they messed up. read more
