Popped in to get an order for takeaway. I was helped by Nessa, I think she may have been the manager. If not she deserves to be!! She was hustling the whole time I was in there; taking orders, bringing food to people, cleaning up, restocking the drink cooler..... I got the chicken soup and the steak saltado. I was expecting the soup to be off the charts salty (because restaurant chicken broth soups usually are) but it wasn't at all!! The steak saltado was good, you have a choice of three sauces. I asked Nessa about the three, she recommended the green because it's cilantro based and would complement the cilantro in the steak saltado. She was right! I didn't get any silver (plastic) ware in my to go bag, luckily I was able to scrounge some up back at my hotel or else I'd have been eating this all with my fingers. read more

We absolutely love this place. The food is always great, fresh, and tasty. We love that you can buy bigger servings of the sauce to take home and eat with stuff we cook during the week. Our kids love the Peruvian rice, and the fried yucca is delicious! The salad is also really great too. Most of the time, we get the family meal with the whole chicken all white meat and the two sides and sauces. There have been a couple times that the establishment had technical issues and went above and beyond for any inconvenience. I was so taken back by this and impressed! Ooo this place was so good! We popped in today for the first time and ordered the family meal. $28.99 for a whole chicken and 3 family size sides. We got the Peruvian fried rice, plantains, and yuca fries. Everything was delicious and we all liked it - kids included! (The food was enough for 4 people.) The food here is simply amazing! Growing up in Lima, Peru, I have had the best rotisserie chicken in Peru (known there as "pollo a la brasa"). Viva Chicken food is just as good as any of the Peruvian restaurants. The sauces are tasty and the cilantro rice is delicious. The fried yucca is a must have. My daughter had the chicken wrap with sun dried tomatoes and she absolutely loved it! Unfortunately I can't comment on the food because I never had the opportunity to try it. The cashier didn't offer any service and two other members of the staff pushed past me as I was perusing the menu without offering assistance as well.
