It is local in the center of town, staff have been trained in a wide variety of animal knowledge and are able to help answer questions to visitors and repeating customers alike. The moment you go inside, staff are there to assist in any pet needs you may have. This is my second bird (green cheek conure) from this place, it has been hand fed and is tame due to the important daily interactions it receives from staff giving consistent scheduled feedings to ensure the bird is perfectly healthy to take home. Walked out of a $70 grooming appointment with "MK S". She met me with an irritated attitude that…read morecontinued to get worse during our 2 minute consult. My dog is almost 5 years old and I have never had to battle with a groomer over cutting 1/2 inch off her long straight hair. It was an extremely simple request to just trim her all over 1/2 inch or so and clean her up that is all. She continued to roll her eyes and speak to me sharply throughout this process. Never once did she smile or give the impression she enjoyed her job, people or specifically animals. Once I found out my poor dog could be with this demon of a girl for up to 3 hours-I bounced. With all these horrible things going on with groomers and them abusing dogs, I wasn't taking a chance. Never will I step foot in that place again.

My Lily was easy peasy to get into the back and she followed Miraya like a doll. On the other hand, Sunny was not having any of it. She pancaked in the middle of the floor, tried dragging me out the place, and was just overall scared to death. She is only 1 and doesn't like me to leave her at unfamiliar places. But Miraya came to the rescue once she got back out to the lobby! She helped me get my flat deadweight baby's harness back on, and scooped her to take her to the back, like a champ! When she called me to come pick them up, it was only an hour after I had left! Incredible timing in my opinion because where I used to go before (we will leave the unnamed) would take 2-3 hours before calling me to pick my babies up! I never liked that. When I arrived I received a pretty shockingly good report card, after what had went down at drop off! Sunny and Lily both enjoyed their baths, Lily didn't like the nail trimming but Sunny did - which shocked us both. Lily was so happy to show herself off when Miraya passed her off to me and I could tell Sunny was a totally different dog when she came out as well, no more scaredy cat! I am thoroughly pleased with the timing from drop off to pick up, the patience of sweet Miraya, and how beautiful my baby girls look and not to mention how amazing they smell now!! I will definitely be bringing them back when it is time for another grooming session with Miraya!!

I asked and he showed me several interactive learning toys as well. He had his cute doggo behind the counter (well behaved) it must be so nice being able to bring your dog to work with you! They had many dog toys to choose from and they seemed much higher quality than the toys at Petco/Petsmart. The store was very clean and didn't feel gross, overlit, and corporate like the more well known stores.

I know it's all out of kindness and wanting to help, but being asked what you can get for me the second I walk in when I just want to browse for a minute is a bit much. I'm followed all around the store and I feel pressure to get in and get out. I think it should also be an option to have stuff carried to the car, not everyone wants that. Just some advice! This company is capitalism at its finest! Every time we came in, the fish would be a different price. Not to mention that the we bought some food there, came back the following day and they upped the price of the exact kind by 20%! Now, I would like to add that I got fish from here, Petco, and petsmart during these last couple of months and all the fish we bought from here have died. Speaking of which, their return policy is just as ridiculous (and being the worst out of the 3 companies) you have 1 week to return your fish if it died, plus you have to prove that you weren't the cause of it dying. Meaning you have to bring ammonia samples and the fish can't be beaten up. Makes sense until you realize that they're the ones telling us what to do with the water! We test the water everyday and if there is anything abnormal we would call here immediately and talk it through with them. Soooo if the water was the cause, then the store was the cause thus providing us a refund on the $200 worth of fish we bought from here. Would also like to add that as he was telling me what to do with the water and setup, there was a dead fish floating right behind him. They told us to never touch the water bc that could mess up the chemical balance, and the sales man put his entire arm into the water to grab the dead fish! Maybe he was the cause of my fish dying. Anyways, you can't tell someone how to take care of their fish, when you can't even take care of your own.

This place is not for the weak at heart. The shelter is small, falling a part, and filled with…read moredogs. One side is for the City, the other for the County. I was here with Operation Freedom Ride, an animal rescue from New York, and we took as many dogs as we could so they could be saved from euthanization and adopted instead. While we were here, the night before two dogs got out and fought. Almost to the death. The one dog was taken to emergency and the other back into his kennel. The doors are so weak, dogs break out all the time. Even climb walls to get out. Operation Freedom Ride brought donations for the shelter and they keep them in a storage bin on the outside of the shelter. This shelter needs more donations to upgrade it. We were blessed to save the ones we did. Next time we will take even more.
