Horrible horrible experience here. Stay far away from this shady place. My boyfriend and I were shocked by the short bald guy shrugging his shoulders like he's never seen a car before when asked basic questions . And the other guy with no teeth who was nice but is maybe just a security guard who told us to wait which we did for a half hour to then be told by short bald guy to wait for someone else to show up in very limited English again after being ignored not acknowledged and spoken to as if we weren't even there. It felt like a twilight zone episode. Literally go anywhere else. read more

I was visiting from out of town and the cars brakes went out just around the corner from this auto shop late on a Saturday afternoon. I pulled in and they immediately came out to assess the problem. They didn't have the parts on hand to complete the repair, so the owner personally drove out to get it from another spot. They were able to get the job done right away, absolutely saving the day and weekend, keeping me from being stranded out of town. My sister recently visited this auto shop for a simple oil change, and it was an incredibly frustrating experience. She went in expecting to pay the usual price for an oil change, but she ended up being charged a whopping $197 for an oil change and filter!! When she dropped off my car, she made it very clear that she only wanted an oil change. However, when she returned to pick up my vehicle, she was informed that they had performed additional services she never consented to. They claimed they had to fix other issues but I was never advised. She then went in for an itemized receipt and Raphy mentioned that he does not print them out and she has to wait until the next day. He was able to charge her but not give her a receipt for what was done. I do not recommended this place to anyone. My sister will be coming back the next day for a refund on services she did not consent for. read more

Be careful when you bring your car here. They'll steal your money. I went to the dealership to fix my ac under warranty and they gave me a list of things I need to do for my car. (transmission fluids, engine injector, coolant, cabin filter, and engine oil filter. I know the dealership overcharges and tells you things you don't need to do so they can make money. So I brought my car here to get a second opinion. I called them saying "hey, I need to change the transmission fluids, coolant and clean the engine injector. Can you give me an estimate of how much it will cost?" The guy said "I can't give you an estimate on the phone. Bring your car and we'll have the mechanic take a look at it. Then we can tell you how much it will cost. Don't worry. We'll tell you how much it is before we do anything." So I came in and brought my car. I told them to just look at those three things because I can change both filters by myself. It's super easy to do at home. They asked me for the list I got from the dealership so they can have that as a reference. After two hours later, they called me saying that my car is ready. When I got there, the guy was asking me for $200?!?!?! They also changed both of the filters when I told them I don't need it? What happened to telling me "don't worry. We'll let you know the price before we do anything." Do you guys just fix people's car without telling your customers anything and expect them to pay? When I confronted him about why they changed the filters without telling me, he said "oh, it was on the list you gave me." It's ridiculous. Don't get scammed like me and go somewhere else. I've never actually taken my car to this shop, but I was in a minor fender-bender on Franklin, right in front of this place. Someone rear-ended me at a red right and I immediately pulled over onto Garfield in front of the Franklin Auto Center driveway gate. It was 11pm and I was alone (and happen to be a woman). The man who rear-ended me had pulled over a ways up on Franklin, and for some reason stayed there while I checked my car. While I was outside the car looking at my bumper with a flashlight, someone who seemed like an overnight security guard came up to the gate from inside the lot and asked if I was alright. I said I was all good and thanked him for checking. Just leaving a review for the thoughtful security guard who saw a situation and made sure I was safe. I appreciated that very much. read more

My husband took our car to get washed and detailed. We had spent Christmas on the road from Oregon to California so our car was a mess. They did good cleaning it but I left my brand new Chanel perfume still in bag and box on the floor of the front passenger side and it went missing. According to them no one took it and the cameras happened not to work that day. So sad that they'd go so low and steal from paying customers! DO NOT RECOMMEND! read more

Do not trust your car in these people's hands they will break it and not replace it! The mechanic is a real scam artist. He quoted me $10 which I knew was too good to be true so when I asked about it he confirmed it, surprise surprise when I showed up $10 turned into $240. And I said no because it's a simple fix that I was going to end up doing myself, he tried to take another look at it and ended up breaking it!! So now my car is in worse shape than it was when I brought it in and he refuses to pay for it or make it right even though he broke it. I looked up the part it's only $40 so he was trying to make $200 for a 10-minute job even after he broke it.. bet a lot of crooked mechanics and this is definitely one of them don't trust your cars in the hands of this man!! P.s. when I asked him why he quoted me $10 he said he has to put a number in there and that everybody does that, it's not a real quote... but why would I ask for a quote if I didn't want a real quote you lying scumbag read more

My engine overheated and I went to Franklin auto center to have it checked out. I could see that my Engine coolant was empty but I had them check out the whole engine to see if anything else is wrong. They told me I needed to replace my water pipe and thermostat for $700. I called two other body shops to get quotes and they quoted me $300-$400. I went to the other body shop to get the pieces replaced/fixed and he told me nothing was actually wrong to begin with. I just needed to add the engine coolant. read more

DO NOT GO. I went in based on reviews for the regular tune-up and oil change. They said I needed new front brake pads. After having them replaced, they made a strange noise every time I stopped. Unrelated, shortly after this, my headlights completely crapped out, so I took it back in to have them check the front brakes and take a look at the headlights. They said they retuned the brakes, and replaced the relay on the headlights. Mind you, I got a great deal on all this work, but I ended up paying for it (don't you always?). When I went in to pick up my car, I tested the lights, and they were not working. The guy who runs the shop literally just looked at me, and said they WERE working, even though you could se they weren't! Sure enough, that night, no headlights. I took my car in to ISE Automotive. They took a look and found that the brake pads had been obviously cut with a dull tool, and so didn't fit properly. On top of that, I don't know what relay they replaced mine with, but the owner of ISE pointed out that the specific part for my car has a retail price close to $300, and I was only charged $50 at Franklin so they pulled some fast one. SHADY. LIARS. BAD WORK. read more

When picking my daughter up from school across the street from here, my car started overheating. I walked over to buy some coolant from them. The older man hesitated then said ok. He produced a container and said ok 20 dollars. I knew it was really between 8 and 13 dollars normally but I was in a pinch so I thought ok 20 bucks. I grinned at him and he grinned back acknowledging that I knew I was getting ripped off. Then as it so happened I didn't have cash handed him the credit card and he said no no only cash. I said well I see your credit card machine can't you just run it. The he said ok then it will be 25 dollars. I walked away. This man is a crook! This is the second time I've tried to do business there. The first time he was going to charge me much more for something I ended up taking to my regular mechanic. Please beware this man is a crook and not a very smart one. read more

I went here based on a friend's recommendation - he'd been going to this guy for over 10 years. Personally, I'm very happy with this shop. The first time I went, I was skeptical when they quoted me $360 to replace some major parts, but after calling around to a bunch of places, this was actually a HUGE deal. Other chain shops could charge up to $1,000 for the work FAC did. I took my car in recently to get it checked after I ran over a huge chain on the highway (scary) and they gave my car the OK, after patching up a nail hole in my tire for $10. When I brought in my car randomly after work with another nail hole, they dropped what they were doing to patch it again in 5 minutes for $10. The only thing that bugged me is that they recommended my brake pads be replaced, and when a friend of mine went to take a look, he said they weren't worn down enough to be replaced... oh well. Don't be turned off by the owner's brusk mannerisms - he gets the job done, and even though I'm a girl with clearly no knowledge of cars, he doesn't rip you off. I was determined to get my check engine light to turn off on my little 95 Toyota. After hooking the computer up to my car ($25 fee) it was determined that the source of the problem was the EGR flow. I figured it was probably a faulty sensor so I had them swapped to see if that would fix the problem. I got a call shortly after saying my car was ready. They disabled the light manually and said, "95 percent chance, that was the problem". The next day, the check engine light returns. I take the car back to George and see what he thinks. He immediately wants to swap the EGR valve (not a cheap part). Luckily, I had done a little research on the issue and knew that the valve is normally CLEANED before it's completely replaced. George agreed and charged me 40 bucks to clean the valve. I was pretty happy with that, he said that was most likely the problem because it was very clogged. A few hours later, the check engine light returns! At this point, I wasn't really happy because I figured it would be an expensive fix to swap out the EGR. I figured, what the heck, let's get a second opinion... LOW AND BEHOLD, they hooked the EGR valve up incorrectly! There is a diagram on the inside of the hood, LITERALLY right above the system. They swapped the tubes around so there was virtually NO HOPE of that check engine light ever turning off. I'm sure had I came back, they would have so graciously offered to swap the EGR valve for me. Probably would have even hooked it up correctly that time too! Watch out for this place. Word of advice from the mechanic who ACTUALLY ended up fixing my car..."Never go back to that place." read more
