Stopped in for a sandwich while staying at the Harpeth Hotel. Four of us ordered and the staff was friendly and fast! The Turkey bacon was a generous portion on excellent fresh made sourdough! Tuna sandwich and roast beef were also excellent! Sandwiches came with a tasty pickle and delicious side salad. Loved my delicious lunch. The food was fantastic. The service was great. Today's soup was tomato orzo. It is served with fresh bread. I also had the quinoa salad with goat cheese. Wonderful choice. It was a light lunch and yet filling. My friend liked her roast beef panini. We both enjoyed a glass of wine. We ordered at the counter and the staff delivered it to our table. The weather was beautiful so we ate outside. I brought home a chocolate chip and salted caramel cookie. It was yummy. I will definitely go back. I want to try the roasted beet salad and several other things. Also enjoyed the website and hearing the backstory on the Bakehouse. read more

Wife and I went here today for the first time. Late lunch. I had a Turkey/Swiss sandwich and wife had Italian sandwich. Both of us had the broccoli salad as a side...and a glass of wine. Sandwiches were good but needed a bit more filling and slightly larger in size for the price. But everything is more expensive in Franklin to be sure. The place is smallish but has outside seating which is nice. Staff was very friendly and conscientious. We had a cookie and piece of coffee cake when we left and they were fine. We will go back. This place has 5star potential but their offerings need to provide a bit more value. I will say the broccoli salad was very good. read more

The sandwiches are delicious! And I love seeing what breads they have available. The jalapeño cheddar is pretty killer!

Really excellent food and service . Reasonable prices , attention to detail . I love their turkey/bacon club . This is what a club is supposed to be ...Classic !! Disappointing. purchased a variety of cookies. Chocolate Chips cookies had so much sea salt in top & bottom it was inedible (even scraping much if it off). Orange blossom was not a cookie--more like a tea cake. B&W cookie was dry and chalking tasting icing. The box of mixed cookies were stale and flavors had migrated together--not good. I almost wanted to call our CC co to ask for a refund. We had planned to return for lunch, but after this cookie experience, we won't be back. Walk a few blocks further and enjoy Triple Crown Bakery instead. Much better option. read more

I love this place. I've dined in on Fresh strawberry goat cheese tarts and salads for breakfast. I take home Randy's homemade amazing loaves of bread. We went in the other day for lunch and were totally underwhelmed. There were a choice of 3 deli style sandwiches plus 2 that were on sliced bread. We opted for the Italian on ciabatta and Parisian baguette. They were fresh enough, but on the Italian there was one piece of cheese and a fair amount of meat and a little arugula or something. The Parisian was ham and not much else. The bread was nothing special. They were put into a panini press which should have thoroughly heated them but they bread was barely warm and the meat and cheese still cold. This and a dill pickle spear was $10! I can do better at home for a fraction of the cost. The $8 Parisian sandwich wasn't any better. We didn't get the prepackaged salads though we looked at them. Only one kind was made that day, the rest were 2-3 days old. So $40+ for a subpar lunch for 3. Franklin Bakehouse will need to step up its game if it wants to survive! read more
