This place instills fear in patients with unethical money grab practices and pressuring patients for same day procedures. I came here after getting on a new insurance and could no longer go to my old dentist as he was out of network. Reviews were overall good for this place so I figured I'd give it a try. I was having no oral pain or discomfort, just knew I was overdue for a cleaning. I was told I had multiple cavities and stage 3 gum disease. The way I was told about the gum disease was extremely bizarre. After the examination, the dentist showed me a chart with the stages of gum disease and images for each. She asked me where I thought I fell on the chart. I guessed one of the lower options and she then decided to tell me I had stage 3 gum disease (on the higher end of the spectrum). I was so caught off guard by the approach and immediately felt extremely uncomfortable by the way that was shared with me. They pushed for me to get treatments same day but I knew I needed to GTFO. I got a second opinion from another dentist and he was shocked at the approach and alleged work I needed done/ disease diagnosis. My new dentist says I just need a good cleaning. I'm really glad I went with my gut and didn't let them pressure me into getting work done that day. Get a second opinion before consenting to any work!

Three weeks ago, my daughter had an exam and was told she needed a cavity filled. When I scheduled today's appointment online, I specifically indicated that it was for the filling. In fact, the entire reason we were there was to have the procedure completed. Adding to the confusion, I had called the day before to schedule an appointment for myself because the fillings this office placed just three weeks ago had already fallen out. I was told the earliest available appointment was two hours later, which I accepted. When we arrived for my daughter's appointment, they took additional X-rays, which seemed odd given that she had just been examined a few weeks earlier. The dentist then informed me that my daughter needed a cavity filled. I explained that was exactly why we were there. I was then told that today's appointment was only for an assessment--even though that assessment had already been completed less than a month ago. When I questioned why another assessment was necessary, the dentist told me to "calm down." I was not yelling or being rude; I was simply trying to understand why we were repeating a process that had already been done. She left the room for about 10 minutes and returned, saying she would work through her break to complete my daughter's filling because there were only 10 minutes left in the appointment, but that she would not be able to address the fillings that had fallen out of my own teeth. At that point, I expressed my frustration. Not only had we been scheduled incorrectly, but I was being told that the work that had failed in my own mouth would not be addressed. Rather than acknowledging the scheduling error, I was repeatedly told that the office had done nothing wrong, despite the fact that their records clearly showed my daughter had already been evaluated just weeks earlier. That was the moment I decided neither my daughter nor I would be receiving treatment there again. The most disappointing part is that the front office staff and support team are genuinely kind and pleasant to work with. Unfortunately, the scheduling process, communication, and overall patient experience left a lot to be desired. It appears the office may be struggling with staffing and scheduling issues, and until those are resolved, I would be hesitant to recommend them.

I came in as I needed a new dentist and had an onlay that chipped. Dr. Reddy Bhuma and her staff are very friendly and make the experience welcoming. So I was excited to have them remove the onlay and put on a crown. The removal went fine and I should have known something was up when the Dr had the dental tech rescan for the crown and said if any red was on the scan to let her know. Well, the dental tech did not do so which meant when I came back for the crown fitting the crown did not fit. It was too high so they had to numb it again and shave down the tooth and another two weeks in a temporary crown. Round two, the crown sorta fit with a few adjustments. The crown to me was bulky, didn't fully align with the other teeth and the bottom was too flat. I was not happy and slept on it over night. I went back the next day to explain and while they were very considerate, the outcome was I'd basically have to live with this. I went to another dentist who adjusted the crown further so the bite was better. Fast forward five months, new dentist took X-rays and the margin/fit of the crown on pthe back side is not flush and needs to be redone. Keep in mind dental insurance sucks as they only allow reconstruction of a tooth every five years. So since the onlay was done in 2022, I haven't hit the five year mark. The first crown at this dentist cost around $800 and the redo at the new dentist is going to be at least $1500. Again very pleasant staff however if you need reconstructive work go elsewhere.

Dental House I was a…read morenew patient at Dental House back in the summer of 2022 with Dr. Tiffany Paiva. I neglected my teeth during the pandemic and needed a lot of deep cleaning and work done - including a crown. After my initial check up, X-rays, and deep cleaning Dr. Paiva and I discussed steps going forward. I explained my lifestyle which involves a 100% travel job - currently working in NYC the majority of my time. I'm only home in Austin every other weekend. Since offices are open weekends, I always have to make way advanced flight reservations to be available on a weekday in Austin. In order to best approach my dental care, I asked Dr. Paiva for the office to provide a list of all necessary procedures, ranked in priority, so that I could take care of them piece meal. And hopefully get everything done within a few months. This also was a sizable total cost, even after insurance, and easier for me to pay in smaller chunks. Dr. Paiva continued to insist I take care of everything in as soon as possible - within a couple weeks. She refused to listen to me that this request was impossible, mostly because of my out of state work; I already had my flights booked a month in advance. I had to repeat myself at least 4 times on why this would not work. Dr. Paiva's response to me was "It sounds to me that what you're saying is that your work is more important than your health". How dare she! I've never been so disrespected by a health provider. Even though I had one more follow up appointment, I knew in that moment I would not be going back to Dr. Paiva again. The Dental office did, however, draw up a list of procedures ranked in priority, like I had asked. My overall assessment: the office is nice, friendly and respectable, along with using equipment that appears to be top notch. Dr. Paiva is knowledgeable and "generally" friendly. But she demonstrated complete disregard for my circumstance and outright disrespected me in the most infuriating way. For this reason I will never step foot in her office again. Since then, I have switched to another nearby, respectful dentist.

I like getting my cleanings because the hygienists are always really nice and the let you watch Netflix while they work (the TVs pull out to be over you and they give you the remote).
