Purchased a floor model. When it was delivered, it was missing several shelves and drawers. The first set of shelves were delevered to Franks and thrown by the UPS carrier and smashed when they hit the ground. The first set of drawers were too big, and now they are saying that since the fridge was discontinued, it is harder to get parts (news to me that it was discontinued). There was a lack of communication, and from my view, a lack of wanting to make things right. Finally got the drawers today, and one is cracked. We had to fix it ourselves. read more

I use Franks Appliance at my home and have had a great experience. Last week my older dad thought his fridge broken because he heard beeping in the area. Franks was out in record time. The technician realized it was the Smoke Alarm beeping, not the fridge. He changed the battery in the alarm and didn't charge for the visit. You can't beat service like that. If you want a company with an "attitude" then certainly go to Frank's Appliance in Milford. We have bought appliances from them for years under the leadership of "Frank" but "Frank" is retiring in June of 2024. He'll be selling the business to his son-in-law, Tom, and absolutely offensive salesperson, Stephan. We have encountered of numerous times Stephan's attitude both in the store and on the phone. Tom is a recent add-on to the list of offensive people with attitudes. The facts that Stephan related to when our daughter tried helping us regarding the 6 month old microwave are not totally based on truth. We were told the parts would come in "in a couple of days" and when I hadn't heard from Frank's Appliance, I had to call again. Was told one part was backordered and they didn't know when it would be in. Why didn't they call us???? This was 4 weeks of our being unable to use it. Tom should have paid more attention to our concerns; but instead kept insisting nothing was wrong with the appliance. Another time concerning the micro, I asked the front desk if Tom could call and she said he would at the end of the day...he never called, and when questioned about it, the day after, appeared agitated at the question and replied he was not going to call me at 6:30 or 7:00 when he got home. Keep in mind, I was told he would. If you want good service, good salespeople with whom you can have something other than a condescending response, PLEASE go somewhere else. Don't be disappointed, as we have been, in the way this place treats you. Frank, the owner, offered super service during his time of tenure, but he is transferring all that to these two individuals who have no idea what "customer service" means. read more

Starting with the worst but am going to give the credit where credit is due. When the owner says to his employee (his phone was on high) "I don't give a sh*t what she says.", I draw the line. My washer was not working so I thought immediately to go local. Called this place and the person on phone was great, was able to get me scheduled right away etc. Day of repair, Corey, the guy who showed up was even better! His tips, honesty and overall manner were outstanding. This is the major reason I decided to head on down and a get new washer and dryer. Unfortunately my washer was at the end of it's life and wouldn't be worth fixing. I walked in and was greeted by Stephan, another great guy. I didn't even bother to look at other machines when he recommended the Electrolux set. Was able to set up the perfect timing for delivery, removal etc. Day of... I can't say the delivery guys were bad but if you are going to remove/replace a washer, you should definitely know where the main water line is. I apologize that I didn't but was able to call my plumber and find out quickly, apparently not quick enough. This took about 5 minutes. In that time they could have taken the old dryer to the basement as planned, no problem. INSTEAD, while was turning off the water they decided to just leave and not tell me. Leaving my front door wide open in the process. After a bunch of back and forth with Frank, on the phone,they did come back. Frank was rude, unapologetic and frankly was speaking to me in a manner that was flat out awful. To all the employees at Frank's Appliance, I think you were all amazing. Frank....you were awful and this is why I will never recommend your company to anyone. It's truly a shame..it really is. read more

Simply the best! No other way to describe them! My fridge died Monday evening, I called the store Tuesday morning and they had in stock what was perfect for me. Better yet, they delivered in about 4 hours later as I had everything in coolers trying to keep from spoiling. Delivery guys were awesome, they called to let me know they'd shortly. The removed the deceased fridge and brought in the new one, hooked it up and not a single issue. Thanks guts!! I'll never go anywhere else but Franks! I'd rather support the local business and employees so they have me as a customer always. If you haven't been there, go check them out, they have a great website as well. Frank's Appliance = Incredible! Long holiday weekend and I've got a broken dishwasher door. The cord that attaches to the spring and the hinge has snapped, so that when you open the door, it basically "falls" open. Not good... I call Frank''s and they not only diagnose the problem for me over the phone, they keep me on the line as they check to see if they have a replacement part for me (they do!) I drive down, pick it up (they have the part set aside and waiting for me), and 45 minutes (and about $30) later I've got a fixed dishwasher door. Our dishwasher"broke" the day before Thanksgiving. I finally found Frank's and called to schedule an apt. Joshua answered the phone and guided me through getting all the necessary information. Right before he was to schedule a service call he asked me to check the switches on the wall. Needless to say that was the issue. Joshua was VERY understanding and and was happy to say he just saved me a serve call. I highly recommend Frank's appliance and will be calling whenever I need a service call!!!! read more

Would give zero reviews if I could; wish I could post the receipts from Frank's proving we purchased our fridge, washer/dryer, and microwave from them. DON'T go here if you expect them to know you purchased from them; called this morning & he stated we absolutely did not buy from them. "Nothing in the computer except a microwave and something in 2010." I gave my name & my spouse's name, and nothing was in their computer (deleted our info, as this is public). Said they could still service us, even though we didn't buy our fridge from them (or washer & dryer). I said I didn't want to use a company that didn't even know we bought our appliances from them 2 years ago, especially since we spent about an hour with them, when deciding which washer/dryer to buy & went with their recommendation. This is by far the best customer service I've ever gotten. Our old GE fridge needed immediate service so I was desperate. Not only was I able to schedule to have someone come out to take a look at it when I called at 2:40pm, the guy who came was very thorough with his work. He knew exactly what he was doing. He was very honest and told me how much the parts would be to fix my fridge. I decided then that we need a new fridge. Keep in mind I'm a very pregnant woman at this point and can go into labor any day, I asked if his store would be open so my husband and I can go take a look. My husband is the type to do research on everything to make sure we got the best deal for the best quality. Well we end up going and the sales person was very informative and resourceful. He was able to give us truthful answers and didn't try to sell us extra junk. He gave us a real good discount with cheap next day delivery. Overall this is a wonderful hidden gem. Now we have a new fridge. It was such a smooth and stress-free experience for us. We HIGHLY recommend them. read more

They must be hiring new techs the person that came could not remove cook top and drilled out screws. Doing this he made large scratch marks all over the surface. Now he tells us we need a new cook top. This should have been a simple fix, now we need to purchase a new stove. read more

Terrible! Buyer beware! We had no issue with the purchase of the appliances, our troubles came with the installation! The installers scratched and dented the doorway trim and molding. I called Frank (owner) and spoke to him directly who assured me that when the kitchen remodel was completed, to simply call him and he'd ensure a crew came out to fix the trim and molding. After a dozen phone calls and messages to him, he sure hasn't made good on his word and this was 4 months ago!!! He never called back, and the never made good on his word which is terrible service, and unethical! Absolutely terrible way to conduct business, and a small business owner should know better. I would NEVER recommend them to anyone, and actually we advise people to stay away from them!!!! read more

We bought an oven range from Frank's this past year after buying one from *another large appliance retailer* in town that was delivered damaged. We needed it for immediate use for our tenant and Frank's delivered it within a day extending a great price and service. I stopped in asked a question about a noise I had with my gas stove. It was nice to see Corey still working there, since we purchased our appliances from him! Corey quickly set up an appointment and looked up to see if the stove was still under warranty. It was. Tom, the service repairman came promptly and reviewed our concerns. He was neatly dressed and respectful of our home. The noise was recreated when the oven reached its temperature. While the oven was preheating, he went over ways to prolong the life of the oven and also showed us things about our other appliances we never knew we should and should not do. These tips were invaluable to us and greatly appreciated his clear and concise advice. Tom never once made us feel inadequate about our lack of knowledge about appliances. He took the time to explain and understand. Service like this is hard to come by nowadays and Frank's Appliance far exceeded our expectations. read more

So I had Franks appliance look at and fix my dryer. It Turns out a bolt was clogged and it needed a door switch. The guy was here for 40 minutes and I was charged a diagnostic fee of $99.50 and a technical service fee of $25 and $35 for parts. I asked what the diagnostic fee was and he said the first half hour is $99.50 and $25 more every half hour more. So essentially I was charged $125 for 40 minutes. I don't know if all appliance places charge this high but if they do, I will not be having any more appliances fixed, I will just replace them because it doesn't cost much more.. All I know is I will not be calling Franks Appliance again because of their outrageous rates. On a positive note the technician was very good but the rates are ridiculous. read more

We've been using Frank's Appliance since we moved to the area many years ago. We always had good service from the service men sent out to our home. In that regard, very pleased. However, 2 incidents in the past year that were less than stellar lead me to believe we won't be going back. Several months ago, our microwave that we purchased just a few years ago went down. We needed a new one to fit in the cabinet space. We purchased the recommended one, but it could not pop popcorn without dying. A second microwave was brought in with the same problem. I, myself, looked online and saw that the salesman wasn't ordering the same caliber of microwave. We insisted he order the same microwave as before, with more power, and wham! Problem solved. Today, my husband called in to schedule service on the Asko dishwasher they sold us a few years back. He was told that they no longer service Asko products. What? You sold it to us. No, they won't service it. They told us who to call. Really, you won't service the products you sell? Done. read more

My dishwasher had flooded Franks was available 2 days later. The technician went through the machine pulling off front door panel tested pump reinstalled the soap dispenser which was not evenly installed to evaluate the problem. There was a small dent on the side of the door and debris from minerals from the water in the sprayer arm which may have combined to allow a leak if the sprayer stuck. He spent over an hour and the charge was$125 which was very reasonable for the amount of time and effort. I would call them for any repairs. I was happy with the service read more

Received good, knowledgeable service at the store and delivery went smooth. I also like supporting local small business over big box stores. However, we made a purchase based on a price quote with rebate amount. After purchase we found that we were only eligible for a portion of the quoted rebate. We contacted the salesperson who basically indicted that rebates change and they don't keep record of past rebates (we purchased 9 days after receiving the quote which had no mention of an exportation)... Basically "oh well". I had hoped they would have done something to help honor the quote. Not sure I will make another purchase here. read more

I've been going to Frank's for several years now and have bought a Borsch dishwasher and a Speed Queen washing machine, both recommended by the salesman. One year the dishwasher stopped working and I called for service. The person who answered the phone said it was probably a frozen water line under the dishwasher since the weather was very cold that day. I put a hairdryer under the dishwasher for about an hour and it started working. A lot of other places would have sent out a repairman and told me the same thing for the price of a service call. I was nursing our Kenmore high efficiency washing machine for several years. It was 8 years old and I about had it with problems I was having. Finally I went to Franks and asked the salesman for a "reliable low tech washing machine". He recommended the Speed Queen. I went ahead and bought it and have been very pleased with its performance. The thing is built like a tank. They took the old machine out and installed the new one for about $50. It was well worth it. We had Frank's come out to diagnose our broken washer. The guy was here less than 10 minutes. They charge you $99.50 for the first half hour so essentially they made almost $100.00 for 10 minutes and that doesn't go towards the repair fee if you get it fixed. Two words... RIP OFF. The guy proceeded to give an estimate. It was going to cost $280.00 for the 2 parts we needed. We were told the total for parts, tax and labor was going to be $470.00 more not including the $99.50. $570.00 to repair our washer. Yup. Then big surprise, are you ready?? He proceeded to say.. It's cheaper to by a new one. Really??!! He also said they are the cheapest around. No kidding.. after doing some research we bought the parts for $170.00 also it takes 5 mins to install. If you are a tiny bit handy you can save yourself from being taken to the cleaners by these folks with rave reviews. Highly disappointed. Extremely unethical. read more

We have been buying from Frank's(way back when his dad ran it /without a store) Because we have always been treated fairly we have always gone back. we just purchased a new dish washer and it was delivered withing the time frame they promised. The two young men were great and cleaned up after themselves. RJ Plumbing had told us he would be at our house to uninstall the old dish washer and install the new one on Tuesday,but to call him once it was delivered on Monday and if possible he would come on Monday. Lucky us, he was able too come shortly after Frank's delivery. Once again RJ Plumbing was great . No issues. I still had questions on the new dishwasher and we went back to Frank's too see Cory. He was patient and answered all our concerns. It is so nice to know that once a sale is made ( with Cory) he still was so helpful. Frank has a great team , sales, delivery and installation.
