These guys are great -- they responded promptly to schedule an appointment and showed up exactly when they said they would. I had Alex come to service my old dryer that wasn't heating anymore and couldn't be happier with the work he did. He showed me exactly what was wrong, was back in touch with an accurate and fairly priced estimate on what it would cost to fix after sourcing the part, and returned promptly to do the rest of the work (which they also warranty). He gave a lot of good advice about how to generally maintain my washer and dryer to make them last a long time, and didn't try to upsell me on anything. My dryer is from 2005, and he could have easily recommended a new one, but the old ones have much better build quality compared to what is currently being sold, and I was very happy to keep it running instead of in a landfill somewhere. Today I had the pleasure of having my Samsung refrigerator serviced by Filipp, owner of Smart Appliance. For starters, Filipp is a gregarious soul with a great demeanor. He quickly assessed the situation and provided not only a corrective action but a subsequent checkout of the unit. The issue turned out to be a couple of plugged drains that were causing leaks on my floor. Filipp then provided a full checkout to ensure the Refrigerator was functioning to spec and replaced my freezer gasket with one I had recently purchased. I asked him to take a look at my dryer while he was here and he cleaned out the vent which was a bit full of lint. There were no mistakes about dates or confusion about time. They showed up when they said they would and communicated their arrival time in detail. - Got the job done (microwave oven installation) fast and at a good price. - The result is solid. No weird wobbles or squeaks. I have no doubts this will last a long time. Little things: - Masks on their faces, shoe covers on their shoes. - Mats and throws to keep things clean and protected. - Vacuum cleaner to clean up. No mess! - Even carried away the installation trash (boxes, packing material, etc.). Other: - Clean, shiny van with cool logo. Why does this matter? I like the attention to detail. If they take care of their own things, they might take care of mine too. - Gave honest feedback about future jobs: I can do so-and-so for this much, but you may not like the result for these reasons, so think about if you really want to do it. Wonderful! Aleksey repaired my LG dryer, and I swear it's better than new! He also checked my washing machine and said all was well. He did a detergent test and, boy, I got to use less! Mostly he undid the horrible "repair" I'd gotten a few months before. It was so egregious - wrong part, missing and incorrect screws, that I should go back and find them and give a negative review. Great Service and honesty from smart appliance. We had our dishwasher not running for a month or 2 and figured we'd finally put a call in to get it fixed. I want to say Filipp came to fix it and he was excellent, he gave me information about what was wrong, and what possible steps we should take moving forward. I appreciated the honesty and candid way that he explained things, giving me more information than I even needed. He was every nice and was great to talk to. This repair company was fantastic. They've fixed a few appliances for us over the course of this year and they were terrific with each. They are super knowledgable - know appliances inside and out. Very professional, very honest and nice as well. They've become our go-to repair people to call. They've helped us with several appliances through the past year: Our Bosch dryer would stop drying in the middle of the cycle, and they fixed it quickly. Then a few months later our Samsung refrigerator stopped making ice - Phillip came out with the right replacement parts and fixed it in a cost effective way. Smart Appliance was the Samsung Pro referred to me when I called the number on my unit for what I feared would be an expensive roller rebuild job. The tech (Alex?) came out and made super quick work of my unit disassembly then took the time to explain to me what had gone wrong, my pulley was beginning to fail causing the squeak, he was able to tackle that, had all the parts with him, and also made sure the unit was clean and everything was back together like it never even happened. Phil is a very personable repairman. We were able to get an appointment from him within one week of when we contacted him. He texted us 20 min before he was going to show up and was on time. He spent more than an hour diagnosing the problem with our dishwasher. It was the lower spray arm not spinning. He gave me a link for the replacement part as he didn't have it with him. Showed me how to replace it. Said he would come back if I had any trouble. Charged a reasonable fee for his service call. Looked at our fridge gasket and some other parts while he was there. Fantastic! The freezer on our months-old LG fridge stopped making ice and thawed. Called LG and was directed to another repair service and told they would contact me. No call. Did some research and found glowing reviews for Smart Appliance, found they were authorized service and called them directly. Kevin was great on the phone, listened to my problem, arranged appointment. Then called LG to get their authorization. Tim came as scheduled, by which time the fridge again seemed to be working (of course!). He had ideas about potential problem and ordered parts, which he installed as soon as they arrived. He was meticulous about cleanliness as he worked and a pleasure to have in our house. He left with high hopes that the problem has been solved but expressed his sincere willingness to continue to help if the problem recurs. My new August 2020 Samsung Fridge would not level on my 93yr old kitchen floor. One Samsung tech was useless, the 2nd Samsung tech said I should buy a shim and shim up the roller - and would not fix the levelers that had stopped working. I tried to shim the roller BUT it was impossible! So, 3rd time was the charm! I called Smart Appliance and left a message, then emailed as well to explain my problem. I got an appt within 3 days or so. Philip arrived and wowza!! A miracle worker! He came up with a brilliant fix and put down an 8" wide strip of vinyl flooring under the right side to bring it into level! Next, he fixed my 1yr old Samsung Washer, it wasn't broken but it was dancing every spin cycle and sashaying around the basement. Yale Electric had installed the dryer where the washer should have been placed & causing the hassle of dryer door & washing machine door not opening in sync. He realized the 93yr old concrete floor was smoother on the dryer side AND SWITCHED THEM! OMG NOW IT SITS QUIETLY NEXT TO THE DRYER SPINNING ON HIGH! Philip gave me a tutorial on my washer, telling me to use less detergent, run the self cleaning feature, and more! I highly recommend them! read more

Had a problem with 8yr old Samsung washer. Filipp ordered the part he suspected was the issue after I described the noise and problem. Filipp gave me an estimate to repair including the part. Filipp was honest and said it may not be worth repairing and upon arrival once the parts came they'd assess to make sure nothing else was wrong with my washer. He could return the parts or use on another machine. I'd only need to pay for a service call at that point. Alexey came and tested my washer, he found several possible issues and said at this point he didn't feel it was worth investing the money into an 8yr old machine. Good news for Central Massachusetts! We do have a reliable and very knowledgeable appliance repair company nearby - Smart Appliance of Ashland. My LG Refrigerator ceased to make ice after owning it for only 6 months. After 3 unproductive visits by another repair service recommended by Lowe's, the home office of LG had me contact Smart Appliance. Kevin, the office manager, listened and researched my problem telling me they wanted to be prepared with parts before visiting, if possible. Felipp was assigned to visit/repair and knew the history but listened carefully again. Instead of insisting upon a faulty icemaker assembly like the previous repairmen concluded, Felipp quickly found the "freezer fan assembly" was falling out of place which affected the ice maker's temperature gauge. Sadly, a defect on the liner made it impossible for the fan assembly to click into place permanently. So Felipp called LG and worked through video conferencing to show the entire problem and advocate for a warranty claim. Before leaving he created a temporary fix using ugly packing tape but it has improved the situation. Felipp was not only super knowledgeable but extremely easy to talk with. Kevin was equally good at office communication and anticipating what might need fixing. Smart Appliance is professional and deserves this high rating. read more

I cannot say enough good about Filipp I was having a HARD time with Samsung over a broken washing machine After 9 hours on the phone, emails to the Office of the President and two cancelled (by them) repair appts (for each of which I took off a full day from work to wait, only to have nobody show), I insisted they let me work with someone local they sent me to Filipp OH HAPPY DAY!
