You have to have a little faith, as it's not an immediate "point and click" transaction like you would have on Amazon. I am creating a historical hat, and this place was recc'd to me by the person whose tutorial I'm using, as it's one of only a handful of places where you can get bamboo staves and splits online. As I wanted to get an estimate for how much shipping might be and to see if they offered international shipping, but there was nothing listed on their webpage, I sent them an email on the 4th of April with all my questions, using the address listed on their site. I waited almost three weeks for a response, and got nothing, so I had a friend call them for me, due to the timezone difference. They spoke to a guy working there, and when she asked about the status of my email, he said that they currently had thousands of unread emails. He told my friend that they would get back to her, and had my friend send them ANOTHER email with the questions she wanted answered(my original questions), so that they could respond in writing once they had the answers for her. That was around the 21st of April, and though she was told that they would get back to her in a few days, there's been nothing. In a last ditch attempt to get the materials I needed for my project, I went ahead and placed an order for my items on the 25th of April, even though I'd still heard nothing. I was then sent the the form auto-response/order confirmation email telling me that the company would reach out to me in the next few days in order to get my payment details. It's currently the 10th of May, and I've still not gotten a response to ANY of the emails I've sent, nor has my friend. If you're looking for a place to order bamboo online, this is NOT the place. There are other places online that, while more expensive, have far better response times and customer service. I need this bamboo in about a month, and now I have to order it from somewhere else because this company apparently can't check or keep up with their emails. read more

I ordered a batch of rattan for SCA combat. The rattan they delivered was 1" instead of the 1 1/4" that was ordered. I tried many times to contact them but could not get a response. I finally put in a claim to paypal to stop payment. I got a call the next day from the owner, Mike Frank, accusing me of bullying them to get my way. We agreed I would cancel the claim, he would send i shipping ticket to me, I would send the rattan back and they would send a new, correct batch. After getting the return ticket, I sent the rattan back. Almost a month passed and I didn't hear anything. I tried calling but Mike was unavailable. a few days later I received a partial refund, less 60 dollars, from them. After all the hassle of their mistake, they still took 60 dollars for shipping. We had several chairs repaired at Frank's - not inexpensive. One hand-caned rocker seat failed within about 18 months of repair. OK, sometimes materials fail, or craftsmen make errors, so we took it in for inspection. When we talked to Mr Frank he accused us of abusing the chair by standing on the seat (of a rocking chair???) or allowing an obese person to sit in it (definitely not true). He was arrogant and rude, accused us of lying, and offered no help, not even to re-do it at cost. Bad experience, poor customer relations. We'll never go there again. read more

So I first want to say I have been coming here for many many years m. My cousin and I have been working out in kali for many years my friends train in this also . So needless to say we need rayan sticks . And Mike franks has great choices of what you could ever want.. Traffic so the front door is locked . So I call again can't talk to Ike only get the rude lady .. if she doesn't like her job she should find another job. If it's a relative I understand. I was I guess 3 minutes late so I told her I just drove all the way up and it was only a couple of minutes late . She said come back tomorrow. I said so there is absolutely no way you can help me she said NO!! I told her this isn't the way I was used to being treated by the people at Franks and it was horrible customer service. Obviously she could care less.I have always been treated very well by not only Mike but most if not all the people that have worked there over the past 30 years..i really like Mike and the way I was treated there by the people that worked there and the service helping me to pick out the perfect product . I needed to repair my hanging basket chair and found Frank's Cane and Rush Supply online. Their website had very clear images and details about their products. The only question I had was how many yards were in a pound of the material (it is sold in pound bundles). I called the number listed and received excellent service and ended up just ordering over the phone. 1 pound was more than enough to repair the arms and front of my chair. Even though I was told orders had been shipped for the day, they must have managed to send it out as I received it the next day! I asked about gluing ends and was told to use superglue. I ended up using permanent peel and stick glue dots (Walgreens) as I am terrible with runny superglue and they worked great. I highly recommend this business! read more

This place was awesome and let me pick the long bamboo poles I needed for my small project. Great customer service Only problem was that the poles were NOT supposed to split, but more than 1/2 of them did and I'm very disappointed about that. I recall that there were no refunds, no exchanges or returns. THAT sucks...because I was told the poles were already be 'cured' and dried and therefore would not split.
