Not the Highway 6 location unless you enjoy bland non-seasoned food. My husband and I went and got fried pork chops and wings. It seemed like they just dipped them in unseasoned batter and fried them and then sprinkled the seasoning on top after it came out of the grease. It was horrible. The batter didn't even have any color to it. I've been to the Franks on Magnum Street and their food was always so good! Maybe it's just this location. So my sister has been trying to get me here for my birthday breakfast for awhile and we finally made it today! As you can probably tell by the one photo I took and much to my sisters chagrin, I did not have breakfast and it's her fault cause she mentioned fried pork chops ;-D They were amazing, crispy on the outside and tender juicy on the inside, just like I would make if/when I wanted my house to smell like grease... I also ordered the Mac n Cheese it was better than homemade, thick and creamy and tasted like a whole lot more! The service was great even though we strolled in about 30-45 min before they closed and didn't rush us. It's very casual inside and one of my favorite things about the atmosphere is.... not one single TV in sight! This used to be our family's weekend breakfast spot. Unfortunately they removed the kids menu and the staff turnover is what killed it. The service is awful and the food has declined. I met my girlfriends for an early morning breakfast before the spa. We got there right on time and had no wait for a table of 4. Glad we came when we did, by the time we finished, the line was out the door with people waiting to get in and seated. Cathy took great care of us by making sure we had coffee and got us hot, fresh breakfast out. She advised us the fish and chicken wings would take longer and it was worth the wait because they were delicious. We ordered fish and grits, chicken wings with eggs and grits and the giant buttermilk biscuits were everything. Franks Grill is little country breakfast/brunch house up on Hwy 6. Open from 7a through 2:45p. Not a lot of parking but you can find a space with a little patience. Walking in, promptly greeting, we got to choose our own table. The breakfast buzz was both inside and Togo. Buffy, with all her vibrant charm, was taking care of us. Super personable even though they were packed. The Boy got the pancake combo, 2 griddle cakes, eggs and bacon. Added a side of hash browns. Said he needed to add white gravy next time. MrM got the French toast combo, 4 triangles, eggs with added cheese, sausage. Added butter grits. Said next time he'd specify shredded cheese as it would melt into eggs better. I got the shrimp and grits. The 6 large grilled shrimp were plump, cooked just right. The dish had cheese, bacon, mushrooms and chives. I opted out of the fresh onions. Evenly dusted with Cajun spice, was pretty good. Restaurant/restrooms were clean even as busy as they were. I've never eaten from here and being in Houston for as long I have...I'd probably get the side eye from people if I admitted this out loud. It's like saying I've never tried Shipley's or Whataburger. Ordered from here via DoorDash. Pic doesn't do the meal Justice, but it was damn good. Got the wings and waffle. Wings were pretty big. They were fried and seasoned to perfection. We asked our waitress (Carolina) what they recommended for breakfast, and she automatically pointed out the ever popular breakfast specials - choice of eggs, bacon, sausage, hash browns, pancakes or French toast. And she sold us on them because that's what we got. Friend of mine got sunny side eggs, I got scrambled - eggs perfectly fluffy. The bacon strips were enormous. But nothing compared to the monstrous pancake! I did think the hash browns could be crispier on the top (and they were plain). The lady taking orders was so nice and helpful. She met me with a smile! The restaurant is clean, and gives that 90s dine in feel, and you know the food is going to be good! I always come to this location hwy 6 N for a breakfast taco I do not eat pork so it's a must to get it specifically how I ask because the hash browns always overpower everything else.... We had a blast here this morning. My grandson had a waffle that was absolutely phenomenal! Fluffy and perfect. The eggs were fresh and prepared as requested! The hash browns were beyond reproach. Maaaaann! Ok I have tried chicken and waffles at other establishments and been completely turned off. So one day I tried it a t franks and let me tell you! I have never in my life tasted anything this good. The chicken was nice thick and juicy, well seasoned. The waffle was the best waffle I've had in years. Experience was soo great I decided to try something else. I had the 3 eggs , bacon and hash brown . I realized I haven't updated my review in about a year. My husband & I have been going to to Frank's since they opened over 16 years ago except for a 2 year break after I got sick after eating bacon. Ms Kathy has been our waitress since our 1st time at Frank's. We have also had excellent service from Jaime and Kenny when Ms Kathy isn't there. Ms Kathy is a very special, wonderful, loving and caring person in addition to being 1 of the best waitresses we've ever had. She is a very dear friend and family to us. Jaine and Kenny are also wonderful, kind and caring people that also provide excellent service. Jamie is also the manager and she's doing a phenomenal job. We also love Jaime and Kenny. Just because you prepare GINORMOUS portion sizes doesn't mean it's quality food. I appreciate you giving me a lot of food however, it means nothing if I'm gonna take it home and let it sit in my fridge until it grows arms and legs.... The hash-brows are supposed to be CRISPY, not mushy. The steak omelette was inedible, that steak was so tough I was spitting it out after attempting to chew each bite for 5mins. I really like this place and I bragged sooooooo much to my family about it. But this trip left me dissatisfied. I won't give up on y'all but mannnnn y'all broke my heart this go around.... read more

Always delivers!!! Boyfriend and I started coming here a few weeks ago and will never go anywhere else for brunch! Huevos Rancheros are legit with homeade sauce. It's not spicy, but I add cholula so it's still delicious. French toast is crispy and sweet. Potatoes are well seasoned and crispy. Hashbrowns good. Biscuits and gravy ok but with sausage very good. Nostalgic Frank's Grill brings your memory back from 1980's. I was there for a breakfast. Looked around and it was like things from the past. Sure enough, this building housed KFC in the 80's. (I asked the cashier to confirm.) I was here in June of 2015. Not familiar with this part of town, but it didn't take me long to find it. Just a hassle to turn into this tricky parking lot. Since It's my first time here, I started to read every review on Yelp. Well, I can't order everything on the menu because they were all yummy in the reviews. I did an eeny-meeny-miny-moe to get the giant breakfast taco. Man, it was fluffy and fresh. Amazing experience. (I'm drooling as writing about it, even nearly 3 years ago since I had it.) One major reason I came to eat here was because of a company function at Top Golf. I wanted a good ol' American traditional breakfast in a sit-down restaurant.
